ASUS Expands its ROG Strix Lineup with the XG27UCS and XG27ACS Monitors

ASUS recently announced that it was launching two new additions to its ROG Strix series monitors in the form of the XG27UCS and XG27ACS. Both monitors come with some worthwhile features, although there are certain hardware specifications that set them apart from each other - for one, the XG27UCS offers 4K 160 Hz visuals, while the XG27ACS comes with support for 1440p gaming at up to 180Hz.

With that said though, both models feature IPS displays, a 1 ms response time, compatibility with N VIDIA G-SYNC, and HDR technology for an immersive experience.

Both monitors also come with DisplayHDR 400 certification and wide DCI-P3 gamut, as well as ASUS' own integrated ASUS Variable Overdrive 2.0 technology, which the company says enables the displays to dynamically alter overdrive settings as frame rates fluctuate for optimal visuals, with around 20 overdrive level settings available to users.

For connectivity, both the XG27UCS and XG27ACS come equipped with DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and USB Type-C (with DP Alt mode and Power Delivery) allowing them to connect to PCs, laptops, and gaming consoles. The XG27ACS is currently available starting at US$269, while the upcoming XG27UCS will retail at US$449.
