December Patch for the Galaxy S6 Series Released on AT&T

22 December, 2017 Samsung Updates

It might be late in December, but it's still the right month for the security patch which is being rolled out to many smartphones in the Galaxy S6 line-up on AT&T. As of now, the models include the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Active (which is an AT&T exclusive). The December patch itself fixes multiple issues that are common to all Android powered devices, but Samsung's own fixes for ten of its overlying software issues are also included in the OTA package.

In addition to the December patch from Google and Samsung, there are also other changes that this important update brings to the aforementioned three devices and they are as follows.

·         Improvement in network coverage and performance on all the three devices

·         Added support for new Mobile Hotspot APN

·         BlueBorne patch

If you are interested to know about the firmware versions, they are as follows.

·         G920AUCU6EQK3 for the Galaxy S6

·         G925AUCU6EQK3 for the Galaxy S6 Edge

·         G890AUCU6DQK3 for the Galaxy S6 Active

All of these updates are around the 400MB mark and we suggest that you download and install this one as soon as possible because it's a really important security update that's already quite a bit late.
