HTC Desire L launches in Taiwan is a mid-range smartphone

HTC has launched another smartphone in Taiwan.  Jack Tong, HTC North Asia-Pacific region president, said at the phone launch that his company hopes to attract more customers in the mid-tier smartphone market.


HTC Desire L features a 4.3-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording, no front camera, a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of built-in storage space, a microSD card slot for expansion, HSPA, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Beats Audio, and a 1,800 mAh battery. It runs a yet unknown version of Android, but it's either 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or 4.1 Jelly Bean.


HTC Desire L being sold outright for NT$10,900 (US$366). There is also the option of paying NT$2,990 plus an additional NT$897 monthly fee for a service plan.
