Android 10 was officially released back in September 2019. After Google Pixel devices, the OnePlus 7T was the first device that came with Android 10 out of the box. Now, after waiting for long 15-months, we witnessed Motorola rolled out the Android 10 update to the Moto One Macro, and now the company is doing the same for its 2019 entry-level smartphone the Moto G8 Play. According to unofficial reports at MotoG8PlayBrasil Telegram channel, the Moto G8 Play will be receiving its Android 10 update starting from Europe.

The update carries software version QMD30.47-19 and besides upgrading the existing operating system, it is also releasing the security patch for December 2020 along with the upgrade. At the time, the Android 10 update seems to be released only for the Brazilian smartphone market but should be coming to other Europan countries in the upcoming weeks as well as other countries.

The Motorola Moto G8 Play is a budget-friendly smartphone that was launched alongside the Moto G8 Plus. It features a 6.2-inch HD+ display, with 2GB RAM, a 13MP primary rear camera sensor, and a 4,000mAh battery that keeps it alive the whole day with medium usage. Even though the smartphone is an entry-level device, it almost took the company 15 months to upgrade the operating system which is too long even for such devices, and we hope that Motorolla will show some speed in the future when it comes to upgrading the operating system.

You can check the settings > system > update to see if the update is available in your region or not. After installing the software, users can look forward to have all the essential Android 10 features including a system-wide dark mode, smart reply for messaging app, new digital well-being tools, parental controls, live caption, and a whole lot more.
