Sprint Surprises Users with Galaxy Note 2 and S III Updates

15 February, 2013 Samsung

Sprint users will definitely be glad to receive firmware updates for their Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S III smartphones. These separate updates are expected to improve phone security and offer a few bug fixes.

Updating your Galaxy S III will also ensure better voicemail application and calendar syncing. The new firmware, by the L719VPMA6 update will also now be able to support 3-digit text messaging.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 2 will have better phone security once updated using the L900VPAMA7, which deters circumvention of Exynos security.

Updates for notifications may not be seen right away but you can always check manually. There are also plenty of forums and news will certainly come out if Sprint already releases firmware update packages for these two units over the air. But it definitely won't be too long until they come out.
