When will your phone get Android 12?

Google has already announced the first Android 12 beta version. This would offer a picture of features Android 12 would bring us, moving on from a developer experience to the one that people would use.

Although, getting a new update might sound exciting as it would introduce a handful of new features to our smartphones, remember that the beta version isn't complete or stable software and must be downloaded only if you know why you need it. Usually, Google has to roll out the beta version for Android or game developers who could give their feedback and input to improve the final stable version of the software.

So, how do you know if your phone is eligible for the beta version? Here is the list of timelines for Android devices to receive the update. Android 12 will be coming to Pixel devices and if you own a Pixel device, you'll probably get the Android 12 beta right away. If you want to try it out. Beta 1 was announced on 18 May, and we might get the stable version somewhere around September 2021.

Probably, Pixel 6 would be the first device to get Android 12 out of the box.

Other Android devices will also be able to use the Android 12 beta.
Asus has confirmed that it will participate in the beta version but this will be only for the upcoming Zenfone series. Other smartphones might join the update rollout later sometime. Nokia has officially confirmed that it will roll out the update for the Nokia X20 smartphone. OnePlus is essentially joining the list with its two high-end smartphones - The onePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

Oppo would be providing the Android 12 beta version for Oppo Find x3 Pro. Realme GT is also part of the beta software. Sharp hasn't revealed any smartphone but Tecno would be offering access to Android 12 beta on Tecno Camon 17. Vivo iQOO7 Legend and Xiaomi Mi 11 that includes 4 smartphones will be getting the Android 12 beta upgrade option as well.
