HTC Quick Root - For ALL HTC Devices

Here is my One Click Root and UnRoot solution for ALL HTC Devices.

Note that the Insecure Boot.img method is for all devices but requires S-OFF and your Insecure Boot.img MUST have 'ro.secure' set to '0' and not use a patched adbd binary.

The Universal Exploit should work for all devices as long as you are running a FULL Stock ROM including recovery.

The Universal Exploit WILL however fail if it has been patched by HTC on the Stock ROM you are using.

Features:

  • Root Using Insecure 'Boot.img' (S-OFF Only) or Universal Exploit. (S-ON / S-OFF)
  • Option to Flash 'HBOOT' Image after Rooting, even if your device is 'S-ON'!
  • Verify MD5 Checksum of 'HBOOT' Image after backing up and after flashing.
  • Unroot Device by Patching 'adbd' binary as Insecure.
  • Root Tools to Clear Battery Stats and Dalvik Cache.
  • Reboot device to any mode after Rooting.
  • Execute Reboot commands independantly.
  • Thorough Error Checking and Stable ADB Framework implementation.
  • Includes BusyBox v1.20.2 and SuperSU v0.96

If there ever was a time for HTC to be extremely timely with their products, now is it. But with the delay in shipment caused by issues with production, they are losing precious time in creating interest into HTC One because unless you have plenty of money to spend on marketing, you won't be able to capture people's attention without a unit.

Adding to the insult is that this might be HTC's last chance to save itself from the effects of bad internal decisions. With the sleek aluminum design of the HTC One, it is very hard not to like. Also, personally, HTC has created pretty good smartphones from the Nexus to the HD 2. However, they were not able to sustain it and it reflected on various aspects of their business.

If the HTC One does not get shipped this month and that the Company does not do all it can to come up with deadlines, then their flagship devices would have to deal with more scene stealers from Sony, Motorola, LG and even Apple, at worst, it could mean the demise for the formerly innovative company.

In case you're still left in the dark, HTC started a trade-in deal last month that allows you to receive a $100 prepaid Visa when you buy an HTC One and exchange an old smartphone. According to the company, they are extending the promo until April 4th to accommodate those who still request for it. To qualify for the promo, you need to register online and send in a copy of your HTC One receipt to get your gift card. That can be considered an outright $100 discount-if you don't mind waiting for the unit to be available because of the delay.

HTC looks like it really wants to compete head-to-head with Samsung and Apple and with the recent delays in the delivery of their HTC One; this just might appease anxious customers for a bit. Hope is not lost for the Taiwanese company and the bottom line is that people just want to see what the HTC One can offer and it's taking painfully long.

One of HTC's little-known mid-range smartphones, the Desire X, may benefit from an Android Jelly Bean 4.1 update. This device was launched in August last year running on ICS. A version of the phone showed up in the list of Bluetooth Special Interest Group and is running on Android 4.1. Although it is not the latest Jelly Bean version, users of the Desire X will certainly see marked improvements and additions using the Jelly Bean.

An official date of the Jelly Bean rollout for the HTC Desire X has not yet been set but as of moment it is very likely that the Desire X will be upgraded soon. This 4-incher smartphone has the following for its features: a dual-core Snapdragon MSM 8225, less than 1GB RAM, 5MP camera and Beats Audio.

If anything, we love how HTC is confidently making it known that Samsung underwhelmed a group of spectators during its much-publicized launched in New York City. While there are those who are really excited at what the S 4 can do, many were also disappointed that what they have been waiting for was actually "Meh". HTC is one of them, voicing out its opinion over Twitter that the S 4 will actually flop.

It sounds like the brilliant company has something up its sleeves and we might be in the dark. After suffering a major delay with the production of some important components of its HTC One, the company is maintaining its confidence with interesting tweets bashing Samsung's highly popular S 4.

Anyway, we love a good underdog story; let's just hope that HTC will deliver soon.
