Sony is just spot on with their Prague promotion and attracted a big crowd with their campaign. Hot models displayed the Xperia Z, wet and speaking over the phone. In the shower. This marketing campaign draws quite the attention away from smartphones that are making bigger waves this week, such as the Galaxy S 4 or even the HTC One. We wonder how much the campaign actually draws the attention away from the Xperia Z. Men and women were seen taking their pictures beside the models, who acted nonchalantly wet with the Sony smartphone.

This campaign highlights the water resistance of the Xperia Z. This smartphone features a quad core processor running at 1.5 GHz each, Adreno 320 (GPU), 16GB internal with card slot that can support up to 32 GB extra memory, 2 GB RAM and it comes in Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2. Its best feature arguably is its being water resistant for 1 meter and for as long as 30 minutes (the reason for the shower promo probably).

The Xperia C670X is making a buzz among gossip mongers and it is said to rival the Galaxy S 4 with its Snapdragon 600 processor and 1080pixels screen. This rumored device was not announced on the Mobile World Congress. The devices that were introduced in the MWC were the Xperia ZL and the Xperia Z with the model names C650X and C660X, respectively.

According to a Sony informant, who confirmed the possibility of a C670X, a reported HTML 5 benchmark diagnostics showed a C680X, which is possibly another high-powered device from Sony. As with the C670X, it might be something to rival the likes of the HTC One with its processor and chipset.

It will also have an Exmore RS 13MP camera and will run on the latest Android Jelly Bean. Furthermore, an image of the rumored device was leaked but the authenticity was not verified.

While many welcome high-powered devices from Sony, others are not too excited about the fact that there are multiple flagship and high-powered devices all at once.

Sony announced its plans to develop and introduce a Firefox device next year. Sony could be right on in deciding to launch a Firefox Device and this could also mean that the open-source OS may actually have a chance to create a niche in a competitive market dominated by Android and IOS. According to reports, the CEO validates the project that combines Firefox and HTML 5 technologies and it sounds promising.

This news was revealed in an event held by both the Spanish carrier Telefonica and Sony, wherein the Sony devices that will be offered by the carrier were announced.

Other manufacturers have also expressed interest in developing Mozilla phones such as Alcatel, LG, ZTE and Huawei and it's only been weeks since the Firefox OS has been announced. Let's wait and see.

UK MOBILE RETAILER Carphone Warehouse has said that the Sony Xperia E is going to be arriving on its shelves in February. The web phone shop announced today that it'll start selling the telephone in February, there is however no word on pricing yet.

Announced by Sony recently, the Sony Xperia E will be the latest midrange addition for Sony's Xperia lineup, since the Japanese phone maker continues to move far away from a hero strategy.

The specs of the Sony Xperia E will arrive using a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and a 3.5in 480x320 touchscreen, running Google's Android 4.1 Jelly Bean mobile operating system.

This phone clearly aiming at those who wouldn't like a flashy Android phone, the Sony Xperia E also has a 3.2MP rear-facing camera, no front-facing camera, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD slot, a 1530mAh battery and Sony's usual mobile software including Walkman apps and it is Timescape user interface.

According to the folks over a mobile.se, a German PR rep for Sony Ericsson has gone on the record to state that the Idou - a Symbian-powered device with a 3.5″ touchscreen, monstrous 12 megapixel camera and GPS - is slated to commence retail sales in October with November being the fall-back date.

When asked for comments, Gustaf Brusewitz of Sony Ericsson Sweden would only reconfirm the companies previous commitment to ship the Idou "sometime in the second half of the year," something that we hope means that the Idou will go on sale well before Christmas to help the struggling Japanse/Swedish owned company get back on its feet. Besides, wouldn't it be nice to have a 12 megapixel camera phone in your pocket on Halloween to document your best friend almost blowing his hand off with an M-80? Yeah, that'd be so sweet.
