Andy Rubin had good words about Firefox OS and says he "feels friendly toward them." The head also commended Mozilla's open platform and says Mozilla might be able to accomplish what Android has not in terms of memory and hardware developments.

Furthermore, Mozilla might also be able to reach markets that they cannot and he is optimistic that in the end, when people get internet access, Google will actually benefit through searches and that competition is good for the industry.

Mozilla's performance remains to be seen and with its partnership with other equipment manufacturers, it might just have a place in the industry where the competition is concentrated between two key players and all the other small ones put together do not pale in comparison to either Android or IOS.
