Samsung today announced a new android phone for its Chinese market. The phone is named as GT-I8262. The device runs on Android 4.1 jelly update and is another mid-range phone. The phone is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core process and a 768 MB of RAM. Other features include a 5 Mega-pixel, camera, Bluetooth and wifi. A battery of 1700 mAh also comes with the phone, which allows longer charging times for the phone. The screen display of the phone is 480 by 800 and has dimensions of 68.2 x 128.9 x 10.7.

However, Samsung is unlikely to showcase this phone at upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, just due to the phone being an ordinary phone. Seems, Samsung Co. is warming up people for some bigger surprises at MWC. So, would be fascinating to see the mobile range Samsung unveils at MWC.

Samsung leads the pack of smartphone providers in the Chinese market, receiving 32.3% share of the mobile users, while Apple lags in far second place, garnering 14.3% of the market, according to iResearch. Samsung offers various mid-range smartphones that greatly boosted its sales in the region, such as the popular Galaxy Ace series.

On the other hand, Huawei and Lenovo, two of the top Chinese companies, only bagged the third and fourth places, with a combined market share of not more than 20%, which not really surprising, especially if their figures were compared with Apple's and Samsung's figures. However, this clearly shows that the Chinese market is also divided between buying home-grown brands and more popular ones.

Despite the huge difference between Samsung and Apple's lead, the report also shows that Apple represented the bulk of high-end smartphone sales, figuring 55.6% of the total, while only 9.2% preferred to buy high-end Samsung smartphones. This goes to show that Samsung excels in providing excellent mid-range smartphones as shown by data in the Chinese market.

According to Sammyhub, A well known Chinese forum has published some leaked pictures of the so called Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9502). We have images here that revealed the design. We are pretty sure that this device isn't a photoshopped but could just be another prototype Samsung may have been testing. As Samsung did a similar thing with the Galaxy S III.

This prototype looks more like the Galaxy Note II and if we consider the legitimacy of the leaked cases that hinted on a squarish-design, keep in mind that this may not be the final Galaxy S IV.

However, the underlying hardware shown in Antutu test tells a different story. According to the benchmark app, the device runs Android 4.2.1 and boasts a 1080p full HD display along with 1.8GHz processor, 2GB RAM and 13MP camera, which could more or less be the final hardware found on the Galaxy S IV.
