According to SamMobile, the company will replace its popular AMOLED display with a high quality LCD made by Sharp. It can be recalled that Samsung acquired a stake in the company and is now banking on the components that are produced by Sharp.

The main reason for the switch is because the S-Pen might be better off with the LCD screen. Furthermore, it is said that the panels produced by Sharp are said to be the best. Other than that, a possible reason for the use of LCD display, instead of AMOLED could be because Samsung needs to concentrate production of panels for the Galaxy S 4.
