Earlier today, LG officially announces its 5.5-incher Korean version of the Optimus G Pro. It has also mentioned its plans of a newer version. Judging from the official photos, this new device looks sturdy and intriguing, and it also features a single home button at the bottom. It has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and is built with a curved glass for a 2.5D effect that is according to LG. Design-wise, it kind of reminds us of Samsung Galaxy Note II but with that characteristically curved display and the patterned back, much like its Optimus G predecessor.

There is not much report on the specs as of yet but based on some LG hints, it looks to be a quad core, HD device. It might be introduced in Korea later this month and we might actually be able to experience it this coming Mobile World Congress (MWC) two weeks from now.

The Big Pitch is here! Samsung Super Bowl 2013 ad for the Big Game, Lebron James, Seth Rogen and Paul Rudd make their pitch to represent The Next Big Thing.

According to Asymco's Horace Dediu, Samsung spends nearly $12 billion a year on advertising, commissions and sales promotions, that's more than Apple, HP, Dell, Microsoft and Coca Cola combined.  Apple, whose 1984 Big Brother is a classic of the genre, hasn't run a Super Bowl ad in years.

What do you think about the Full Version Ad below?

It seems the closer we get to Mobile World Congress, the more Samsung Galaxy S5 rumors are been released, hre's another one right before Samsung's Unpacked 5 event at MWC in Barcelona where the company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S5.

Based on what previous rumors have brought us, we're assuming that the high-end S5 sports a Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, while the mid-end model should come with a 1080p display - both probably measuring 5.2 inches.

According to the Samsung exec, the Galaxy S5 will be available in retail stores just three weeks after its announcement. Supposing Samsung unveils the Galaxy S5 in Barcelona next week, the Galaxy S5 would be on store shelves in mid-March 2014.

Meanwhile, GSM Arena seemingly got hold of a Vodafone internal document which appears to list a gold-colored variant of the Galaxy S5. So, is gold becoming a must for high-end smartphones now? It looks like it does.

Google Search application for Android has the ability to tell you what song is currently playing. This ability comes with the latest version, which was announced on a post in Google+ on Monday. Tap the mic button and you will see a music icon will show up to let you know that the application is processing the tune that is currently playing. Tapping that icon will let you know if Google Search recognizes the music and it will tell you what it is, if it knows.

Comparing it to the Sound Search widget that came out last December, the Sound Search is much easier and quicker to use but this new feature of the Google Search is also a good addition. When the song is identified by the app, you will be asked to buy it from Google Play store, which can be quite convenient for many people.

Google's Holo design for the Play 4.0 truly has a distinct look, featuring clean lines and white spaces that will surely captivate many. It is much pleasing to the eye and a few minor changes have been made. It has been rolled out to a few lucky people whohave gotten their hands on its simplicity and ease of use.

Some noticeable changes on its appearance have also been noticed as well, such as the grainy or pixelated background and clearer choices with the use of white spaces.

Another noticeable difference when downloading apps from the Google Play 4.0 is that it does not take the user to a different page when downloading something, making it quicker and easier to use. The "keep shopping" button has also been scrapped, which will probably be appreciated by many as it could be quite bothersome.

The Google Play 4.0 is a lot cleaner and will surely make many people happy. It is not yet available among most Android users but trust that it will be a big improvement from the previous version.

Facebook Home has created a buzz in the internet world and many people have tried the leaked download on their phones. However, many complained that app access and switching are significantly slowed down by the controversial launcher.

On the other hand, if you are one of the more adventurous and would try everything to see if it's worth giving a chance to, you can already download and install it to verify these claims. Most Android phones that run on version 4.0 and above can install this launcher.

Also, you need to update your Facebook apps prior to activating the APK, but you can also get patched Facebook apps versions, if you have hardware issues.

The Company has not yet released any official statement regarding the Facebook Home launcher and interestingly, many people are trying it out but half are more likely to rate it low because they either don't like the interface or they don't like "too much Facebook" on their devices.

Android Version 3.0 LinkedIn has added various update stream features which were not present in the previous versions. LinkedIn is a social networking site that mostly brings together professionals. Like most other social networking sites, its users have been on the increases but it has not yet reached the level of Twitter and Facebook. Linked In users can now share, like, follow, invite and even comment directly from feed on the update stream content. The new design also makes navigation of the app much easier.

Some users can remember how they buried the settings menu that featured in the earlier apps. Even if you cannot say that this app is going to get you to use this app, its installation in your phone will make the gadget more appealing. Who does not like owning a phone that has many features anyway? However, for those who are addicted to LinkedIn, this is definitely an app that they would want to see installed in their phone.
