Nokia is getting ready to roll out the Windows Phone 7.8 update to the Nokia Lumia 900. We know this by looking at thhe Photo of the Nokia's update server (below) that show an update to software version 8858 sitting on the computer. That happens to be the final version of the Windows Phone 7.8 OS update. The Update is around 383.85 MB.

So what features will be in this long awaited update? Well, It offers the expected changes such as the resizable Live Tiles, Bing Wallpaper, new boot screens and new wallpaper. There is some speculation that Nokia will add new features to the camera on the device via Nokia Collection not too long after Windows Phone 7.8 goes live.
The Nokia Lumia 920 features optical image stabilization (OIS) for its 8MP camera and while Nokia dropped the ball when it was discovered its promo video was not shot with the 920 at all, fans took it on themselves to reshoot the sample. But riding a bike is too mellow, driving a 4X4 toyota through the desert puts a lot more stress on the OIS camera and it's much cooler too.

Nokia detailed how it created the ringtones found in latest Nokia Lumia devices. Nokia Sound Design team at Nokia chose the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra to play the music when creating 25 amazing classical ring tones to be shipped with Nokia mobile devices.
"The 25 original pieces, called ‘miniatures' were composed by five Nokia Design in-house sound designers. We started exploring the idea through contemporary classical and film music, However, the final result was original pieces that are distinctively ring tones: they are short, and they all have a functional sounds element," explains Aleksi Eeben from the Sound Design team at Nokia, who was the creative lead for the project. With 55 members in the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, lead by David Hernando Rico, and a recording team at the ready, the finished original audio masterpieces resemble something you might expect to hear in a video game or in a movie.
The Lumia 822 feels great in the hand, but due to the lanyard attached to it, it was difficult to get a full idea about the weight and feel of the device. The 4.3-inch display is vivid and clear and very responsive. The Windows Phone 8 user-interface is the same, fluid, smooth and looks well put together.
Holding the device up close, it does not feel like a lesser-cousin to the Lumia 920. It has solid hardware, a familiar fluid OS and nice features like a lock button on the side, and a physical camera button.
Nokia sold 2.9 Million Lumia Windows Phone devices in the Q3 2012, as sales of its Windows Phone-based smartphones declined from a 4 million sales peak in Q2 2012. Overall, Nokia smartphone sales stood at 6.3 million, and that means that Symbian sales stand at 3.4 million still outselling Windows Phone.
With more Windows Phone sales being sold and the share of Symbian rapidly diminishing, Nokia's average sales price (ASP) for smart device has also grown to 155 euro, up from 151 in the previous quarter.
