Microsoft promoted for the surface tablets line-up with pictures of poeple working on office with the tablet. In these pictures there is a phone that looks a little different than any model that has appeared before.
This Smartphone could be the Microsoft Surface Phone, a model of which is allegedly being holed up in Studio H at Microsoft's Redmond campus.
This obviously is a prototype device and might not even be the final design of a Microsoft Surface phone. Anyway, we can expect a Microsoft branded smartphone by Next year but meanwhile we'll get more rumors and leaked prototypes.
The Huawei W1 live pics is leaking, not long after we heard about the smartphone for the first time. The W1 back looks similar to the HTC One X but this device is running Microsoft Windows Phone OS.
The Huawei W1 is not a high-end device. It has a 4-inch WVGA screen, a 1.2GHz dual-core chipset with 512MB RAM, 5MP camera, and merely 4GB of on-board memory. The good thing about the storage however, is that Windows Phone 8 now allows expansion via a microSD card slot. A 2000mAh will power the handset, so there should be plenty of power to keep it going.
The HTC Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S just got their price tags in the UK and those seem pretty reasonable.
The two new WP8-smartphones already have their own pages on the Unlocked Mobiles website. The HTC Windows Phone 8 flagship, the 8X costs £398.98 ($646 / €487), while the 8S is priced at £224.98 ($364 / €280).
Clove is also having the HTC 8X and 8S available on pre-order for £399.98 and £224.99, respectively. Expansys has them too the price for the HTC Windows Phone 8X is £399.99, while the 8S pricing info is yet to be confirmed.
Switzerland is known for its neutrality, although we wonder if that extends to smartphones as well. Meanwhile, mobile operator Digitec Switzerland has already started taking pre-orders for Windows Phone 8 models.
Nokia's top-shelf model, the Nokia Lumia 920 can be reserved for CHF 749 ($793 USD) and the Nokia Lumia 820 can be pre-ordered for CHF 639 ($687 USD).
