Pink may not be the manliest color out there, but Samsung never said that the Galaxy S8+ was only meant for men either! Samsung is about to release a Pink Rose colored variant of the Galaxy S8+ in Taiwan and in spite of my personal prejudice against pink colored phones, one has to admit that it does look beautiful. According to reports, it will be a limited edition handset that will only be available exclusively via Samsung's own online store and nowhere else. Once the stocks run out, allegedly, Samsung won't be making any more of these.
This will be the Exynos 8895 version and all other specifications will be the same, as expected. The price of the pink smartphone will be roughly $920 or TW 27,900; which is the same as the price of any other color variants of the S8+ in the country. On an interesting side note, the Coral Blue, orchid Grey and Maple Gold colors have been renamed as Ice Lake Blue, Smoked Purple Grey and Quicksand Gold in Taiwan for some reason. If you like the color and you are not in Taiwan, we are sorry to report that there has been no news regarding whether or not the Rose Pink color will make it to any other nation.

As the hype is now over the arguably cheapest flagship smartphone for the year 2017 is out, let's now take a look at the best and the worst parts of the OnePlus 5.
The Right
The combination of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 8GB or RAM and 128GB of internal storage are specifications that no other phone on the planet can deliver at the moment. Consider the fact that the Galaxy S8+ with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, which is its closest competitor in terms of specs, costs more than a thousand dollars in China and India. The OnePlus 5 with 2 extra gigs of RAM and a brilliant dual camera setup costs about $539! Say what you will, no other phone can beat the OnePlus 5 in terms of price-to-performance value. Add all of this to the super smooth and ultra useful Oxygen OS and we have an instant winner on our hands.
The Wrong
It looks like an iPhone 7 Plus and that's not a good thing. In a world where a lot of people blame Android smartphones for copying Apple iPhones, the OnePlus 5 took a step backward by copying the iPhone 7 Plus in terms of the design and losing its own unique appeal in the process. Also, there was the initial false claim of 2X optical zoom (it's actually 1.6X as it was found later) and an AMOLED display that needed to be QHD this year.
Should You Buy it?
To be honest, nothing can match the feeling of actually using a Galaxy S8/S8+ and its curved QHD+ Super AMOLED display and bezel-less design, but then again those phones cost twice as much (unless you get it on a deal). Having said that, there is no smartphone in existence today that can match the experience offered by the OnePlus 5 at under $550. If that's your budget, you just cannot go wrong with this one.

The Galaxy Note 4 may not be getting Android 7.0 Nougat officially from Samsung, but the OEM is still providing regular monthly updates to the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. While all other major US carrier variants and the unlocked versions had already received the security patch for June, AT&T wasn't there yet. Fortunately for its users, the carrier has now joined the likes of Verizon and T-Mobile by rolling out the June security patch for the Note 4.
The OTA update will come in at an ultraslim 23MB package and if you are using the Note 4 on AT&T, it should be hitting your device anytime now, if it hasn't already. Firmware version of the SMR update is N910AUCS2EQF1.
Update: It seems that the same monthly security update is also out for the Galaxy Note Edge. Firmware version for this one is N915AUCS2DQF1 and it comes in at a slightly bigger size of 27MB.
