Thanks to a new revelation by GSM Arena, we are now able to take a first look at the upcoming iPhone 7. Reportedly, these renders are made from actual 3D drawings by the tech guys at Apple. Of course, improvisations have been made in the color and material department through intelligent guesswork. We do not think that the renders will be off by much as they have done a pretty good job in emulating the parts that were not present in the original drawings.

From what we can see in these pictures, there will be a change at the back where the antenna lines used to be for iPhones. The good news is that two speaker grilles can be seen at the bottom of the phone, or at least we hope that they are speaker grilles! If the iPhone 7 does the same thing as they did with the iPhone 5s, one of those two grilles will only house the mic. Much to our disappointment, we did not see a 3.5mm audio jack anywhere in the renders.

According to these, the next iPhone is not going to have the dual camera setup which the iPhone 7 Plus is rumoured to sport. The images are not enough to pass judgement on whether the iPhone 7 is going to have water-resistance certification or not, but we are hopeful that it will. Stay tuned to find out more in the months leading to the release of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus towards the end of the year.

The answer to that question is yes, if the latest market reports and the financial reports of both the companies are taken into account. Apple's financial reports for Q1 2016 suggests that the company experienced a huge downfall in terms of iPhone shipments and the following quarter will once again experience an even sharper decline due to a proportionate channel inventory amendment.

Officially though, Tim Cook explained the situation by blaming it on an insufficient number of people's willingness to upgrade to the current gen of iPhones, as compared to when the iPhone 6 was launched. There was also a mention of "macroeconomic weakness" and according to him; the number of people who switched from Android to iPhone was at an all time high in the first quarter of 2016.

In spite of all the explanation, there is evidence that Apple might actually be losing a great deal of the market to its Korean competition. In a year-over-year comparison, Apple lost 16% of its Q1 sales from last year while Samsung's sales increased by 8%. There is little chance of Apple seeing much improvement this year as even in the last quarter of 2016, analysts are predicting a fall of 9.1% in year-over-year comparison. Samsung on the other hand is expected to see significant year-over-year increase in sales throughout all the quarters.

A logical conclusion from these results would be that Apple is losing share to Samsung in the high-end segment of the smartphone business, mainly due to the success of the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge. In fact, it is not only Apple which is losing smartphone business to Samsung, but other major Android manufacturers like LG, HTC, and Sony are all on the same boat. From where things are right now, Apple's biggest chance to get back at least some of its lost business is a successful iPhone 7 launch.

Two brand new commercials were released by Apple today and they are both about the iPhone 6s. The one about "Onions" is a hilarious and light-hearted commercial that highlights the 4K video recording capabilities of the iPhone 6s in a rather funny way. We see a young girl shooting some onions being chopped on her iPhone 6s, while recording at 4K. The video soon gains universal popularity and changes the art of film making itself! People all over the world are touched by it and she ends up getting a prestigious award for that video, which is presented to her by actor Neil Patrick Harris. It is good to see that Apple is open to humor these days, as made evident by many of their recent ads.

The commercial released to highlight the advantages of Touch ID was not as dramatic or funny though. It simply reminds people that Touch ID can be used for more than just unlocking your iPhone 6s. Unlocking cars, payment via Apple Pay and even signing on documents are all possible through Apple's little fingerprint scanner. Although the recently launched iPhone SE is also capable of 4K recording and has support for Apple Pay, it wasn't shown in either of the commercials.

If reports from sources around the world are to be believed then the iPhone 7 Pro is real and it's coming in September along with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. We now also have a "leaked" image of what is claimed to be the iPhone 7 Pro, thanks to MacRumors. Even if it is true and the image is indeed a picture of the iPhone 7 Pro, it is probably just a prototype as its theoretical release date is still at least 4-5 months away.

From what we can see in the photo leaked by MacRumors, the Pro model will sport a dual-lens camera, a first for Apple smartphones. Also, the design elements do not seem to have changed much from last year's iPhone 6s. Before you laugh away the entire thing as a hoax, consider the fact that Feld & Volk have released certain iPhone 7 Pro renders of their own, inspired by these photos. Feld & Volk is famous for offering post market iPhone modification services and their last rendition, which was of the iPhone 6, turned out to be flawless in 2014. Add the statement of OnLeaks/Steve Hemmerstoffer which suggested that this "could be the real deal" and suddenly it starts to feel more like a leak than a rumor.

Apple was once famous for its simplicity and that was one of the things that people loved about their products, but right now, that is just not the case. In order to target customers with different buying capacities and needs, Apple currently has five iPads in the market; iPad Mini 2, iPad Mini 4, iPad Air, iPad Air 2 and of course, the mighty iPad Pro. Similarly, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise at this point in time to see Apple release three versions of the iPhone 7 this year, as it would have been a few years ago.

Apteligent is a research and analytics firm that has come into fresh attention with their latest reports about the iOS 9.3. If what they are claiming is to be believed, then the iOS 9.3 might just be the most stable version of the iOS that has been released by Apple in the recent past. If reports from the last eight days are taken into account, then crash rate for the iOS 9.3 stands at 2.2% as of now.

The 2.2% crash rate is a significantly improved result when compared to earlier iterations of the Apple iOS. The iOS 8, iOS 9 and even the iOS 9.2 had shown a crash rate that was north of 3.2% after the same eight day timeframe. In fact, as if surpassing all its predecessors wasn't enough, the iOS 9.3 has managed to beat the 2.6% crash rate of Android Marshmallow as well.

The only known issue with the iOS 9.3 yet, was the hiccup that it experienced during the initial roll-out. Apparently, some of the older Apple devices could not make use of the new update procedure and therefore, the roll-out was temporarily stopped in order to sort the problem out. We will find out more about this new iOS in time, but it sure looks like Apple has managed to produce the most stable mobile OS available right now.
