The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is now available from AT&T. This variant of Samsung's flagship smartphone, is rugged enough to beat the elements. The phone is shock resistant to protect it from your clumsy butterfingers. It also is resistant against dust and water.
Despite rumors that the phone would be IP68 certified, it turns out that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has the same IP67 certification that the regular Samsung Galaxy S5 has. This means that both variants of the phone can survive a submersion in up to 3.2 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active features a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display, with a 1080 x 1920 resolution, and a quad-core 2.5GHz processor under the hood. 2GB of RAM is on board with 11GB of storage available. A 16MP camera adorns the back of the phone, while a 2MP snapper is on the front. A 2800mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 4.4.2 is pre-installed.
For those willing to sign a 2-year contract, the handset is priced at $199.99. For those using the AT&T Next 18 plan, the device is zero down and $27.50 a month for 18 months. Those using AT&T Next 12 pay zero down, and $37.50 a month for 12 months. And those purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active on AT&T, get to save $50 on the purchase of the Samsung Gear Fit through July 24th.

Tough is about to get Tougher, The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has been leaked with its first Press Image on twitter by @evleaks, that image shows the AT&T variant of the upcoming smartphone. It's a tougher version of the original Galaxy S5 device with much harder body and more damage resistance.
Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is expected to debut in the near future. Its rumored specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB RAM, and 16MP camera. The Phone will launch very soon in all markets worldwide.
Rumors about the Galaxy S5 Prime is getting serious, the latest one is developer-related. A tweet from Samsung Developers official twitter account indicating that the bugs in ConsumerIrManager will be rectified come Android 4.4.3 build.
This "Bug" confirms that Samsung is working on its build of Android 4.4.3 KitKat to be included in the upcoming Galaxy S5 Prime and to update current Galaxy S5 users too. We also have a leaked screenshot of the Galaxy S5 Prime running Android 4.4.3, device name is Galaxy S5P and model name is SM-G906A.
The Android 4.4.3 update mainly focuses on bug fixes and performance improvements, current Current S5 Users will receive this update next month. S5 Prime is also rumored to be revealed next month.
A Photo of a Copper Gold version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 has been leaked on twitter by @evleaks. The leaked unit features the Verizon logo branded on the back cover. It looks like an Exclusive variant for Verizon's users only, which also offers the original Gold version too.
