We can now take a closer look at Google Play Store 5.0, the upcoming update to the Play Store App for Android. This version fully integrate the new Materiel Design UI in all the App aspects and sections as a preparation for Android L release.

Update after update, the Play Store was already pretty close to falling in line with Google's latest design vision. Its flexible, adaptive card-based interface already carries out the metaphor of paper-based interface elements, but certain visual aspects were missing. Not all of those pieces (like buttons) have been put into place just yet, but it's a step in the right direction.

The most obvious change here is the color palette. Drawing from Google's new Material Design palette, each section has new colors that are brighter, more vivid, and more integrated into the design, with re-colored buttons and accents, and a colored toolbar that extends down to the re-styled category tabs.

We currently don't have the APK but you can to expect it very soon, it will be released before the Android L Official release which is Coming Very Soon.

If you purchased an App on the Play store and you didn't like it or it doesn't work properly as its publisher advertised, you can return the App and take a refund in 15 minuets after purchase and you'll get your money that you paid for that app back. However, 15 mins is too little time to test some Apps/Games properly before you decide to keep them...

That's why Google has Officially expanded its Google Play Store refund policy to allow those who purchased an App or Game, to receive their money back within "Two Hours after purchase". To request a refund, you open the Google Play Store and go to My Apps. Select the game or app you wish to return, click on refund. Keep in mind that if the two hour refund window has expired, you will not see that option. If the two hour period has expired, you will be allowed to uninstall the app or game from your device, but without receiving your money back.

So go ahead and buy that expensive App or Game you always wanted to try. If you don't like it, you have two hours (120 minutes or 7200 seconds) to return it for a complete refund. Remember though, that you can only receive a refund on a particular game or app one time.

Android Wear Devices

Looks like Google is finished with the Google Play Edition smartphones, as of today, Google Play Store removed the GPE devices section and replaced it with Android Wear devices, such as LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live both running Android Wear OS.

The GPE devices removed is HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, Moto G, LG G Pad 8.3 and Sony Xperia Ultra Google Play Edition devices with only a few of them still available in certain countries' Play Store. However, Nexus devices (Nexus 5, 7 and 10) are still available.

Android One program is still not yet available but it looks like it's the future of GPE devices, we should see the first Android One device later on September,2014.

Play Store

Google sells a lot of games, but often, the ones downloaded from the Play Store require Internet access even in single-player modes. So for the latest promotion, they've decided to highlight games that don't require Internet Connection. You can play them on a train. You can play them on a plane. You can play them in a box. You can play them with a fox. Because like planes, trains, boxes, and foxes, they work without any data connection at all.

Not all of these titles are must-haves in our opinion, and they don't appear to be any discounts. Still, it's a handy little list if you're planning a trip and want some reliable entertainment. Some of the games have an online multiplayer or ranking system, but they don't need a connection for single-player.
