Ming-Chi Kuo from 9to5Mac is famous as the most prominent (and accurate) analyst in the world when it comes to Apple and its products, but every once in a while, he does give out some pretty interesting details about other famous brands like Samsung as well. As it happens, Ming-Chi Kuo has just made some interesting revelations which assert previous rumors that all of us had been hearing for a while about the Note 8. He believes that the Galaxy Note 8 will sport its "most important upgrade" in the form of a dual camera setup at its back.

Although we were pretty much all expecting that, he goes on to add quite a few exciting details to this little "revelation" as well. Apparently, the cameras will comprise of a 12-megapixel wide-angle CIS 2PD lens and a 13-megapixel CIS dual 6P (six element) telephoto lens. Along with dual optical image stabilization, there will also be the option to use 3X lossless optical zoom. He even excitedly predicts that the camera setup will produce images that will rival those taken by the upcoming OLED iPhone.

Kuo also goes on to mention that the Note 8 will sport a display with an 18.5:9 ratio and 1440 x 2960 resolution, just as the one seen on the S8+, but even bigger at 6.4-inches. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and the Exynos 8895 will likely be powering the Note as well.

Samsung has only just started to address the red tinge issue seen on some Galaxy S8 and S8+ displays from yesterday with a firmware update that has been released in Europe and South Korea so far, but the two smartphones are allegedly facing a more disturbing problem already. Some S8 and S8+ users have gone on XDA and the Samsung US community page to talk about an issue where the smartphones seem to be restarting by themselves without any input from the user.

Apparently it is happening to both the S8 and S8+. While some users have suggested a temporary fix by removing the micro-SD card from the expansion slot, it is unclear at this point as to if this really is a solution or not since some of the users are saying that even after removing the memory card, their phones keep restarting automatically just as before.

While the red tint problem is likely something that can be fixed simply by adjusting the RGB balance (or at least that's what Samsung is saying anyway!) and doesn't really affect the experience too much, a restarting phone can be a deal breaker. Let's hope that Samsung is able to address the issue fast with yet another OTA update.

Some customers and even techies are complaining that some of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ displays are currently showing a reddish tint. The red tinge issue was slowly starting to become a headache for Samsung because of all the bad PR that it was bringing to the company. They have only just started to leave the Note 7 disaster behind and move ahead, so this is definitely not something that Samsung would want to see being escalated. Samsung did mention that they will be addressing the problem with an update and they have released that update earlier today in South Korea.

The OTA update with firmware version G950NKSU1AQDG for the S8 will now add one extra setting to the phone's display section, which will give users the power to control "full screen color balance." Hopefully, this will enable users to adjust the screen until the reddish hue disappears. Additionally, another newly added option called the Screen Edge Color Balance can be used to adjust the color balance on the curved edges of the display. Samsung will most likely be releasing this update everywhere, but that isn't official news as of yet.

It's true and it's about to happen in June. The infamous Galaxy Note 7 which had caused Samsung to lose billions of dollars, as well as suffer a lot of criticism, bad reputation and take jabs from even the contemporary US President Obama himself , is finally coming back to its home country with a smaller 3,200mAh battery and a roughly 300,00 Won ($266) price cut. The refurbished Galaxy Note 7 will now be available for purchase in South Korea, starting from June.

No new units have been made according to the reports and there will be only about 300,000 of these refurbished smartphones available with a slashed price tag of 700,000 won (or $620). Samsung won't be rebranding it as anything else, so it will go on sale with as the Galaxy Note 7 (SM-N935), just like it should. In spite of all the negativity, it should be noted that the Note 7 was a huge hit for the company and before everything went haywire, critics all around the globe praised it as the best smartphone by Samsung yet. Would you buy one at this price point if it was available near you?

We all know that Google is bringing the Play Store on some Chrome OS powered devices very soon, but it hasn't happened yet unfortunately. However, the company did earlier reveal which three devices were eligible initially to get the upgrades necessary for supporting the Play Store and now they have confirmed the whole list. According to the list, at least one Samsung Chromebook is sure to get the stable channel update and that's the Chromebook Plus.

The other five Chromebooks which are also assured to get support for the Play Store are the Acer Chromebook R11 (CB5-132T, C738T), the Asus Chromebook Flip C100PA, the Google Chromebook Pixel (2015). the AOpen Chromebase Mini and the AOpen Chromebox Mini. Although Google has stated that being on the beta channel doesn't guarantee stable Play Store support for these devices in the future, it is worth mentioning that the Acer Chromebook R13 (CB5-312T) and the Asus Chromebook Flip C302 are on the beta channel.
