According to the International Business Times, the Note series from Samsung is actually more admired worldwide than its own Galaxy S series. Having said that, we should take into account that the Note 5 was not received particularly well by a lot of people because of the similarities that it shared with the S6 series. Nonetheless, the Galaxy Note 5 was a stellar device that didn't disappoint us in any way. It ran through everything from regular tasks to heavy gaming like knife through butter. The S- Pen offered added functionalities of a stylus and even that was simply the best in class experience.

It's a brand new year now and even before the S7 is released on February 21, the Note 6 is rumored to be unveiled at the IFA electronics and appliances trade fair 2016 in August - September. So the question lies whether Samsung can improve upon the Note 5 which is already a great device but still disappointed many. Here are a few ideas that can do just that, and they are based on what people want and the rumors that are flying around about the phablet.

Pressure sensitive gestures - Apple's 3D Touch was an amazing piece of innovation and we would very much like to see it being done in Android. Samsung may implement it in the Note 6 as they are already working with Synaptics to incorporate it in their 2016 flagships.

Improved camera - If the rumors are right then the S7 will flaunt only a 12 megapixel camera as compared to the 16 megapixel sensor on the S6 series. The lens however, will be much larger and better in every way compared to the previous generation 16 megapixel sensor. This is a trend which will probably be seen in the Note 6 as well.

Expandable storage via SD card - This was one of the biggest gripes of fans around the world who revolted against Samsung's decision of omitting a microSD card slot in the S6 and Note 5. The Koreans are possibly bringing back the feature, starting with the S7 and following it up to at least the Note 6.

Improved battery life - If you are a power user, then you probably felt that the Note 5 could have done with a juicier battery. Fortunately, this is almost certainly going to improve because the 3000mAh battery simply won't be enough to power the Note 5's top end hardware.

It has become quite a norm with Samsung - just before the release of major smartphones certain information gets leaked. This time around a list of Galaxy S7/S7+/S7 edge accessories have surfaced which gives out pricing info - specifically in the German market. Thanks to German WinFuture, the selection packages few major surprises.

To start off, Samsung is planning to compete with Apple by manufacturing a battery case that would look exactly like Apple's case, which will hopefully look beautiful in terms of design. The case would cost €89.99 ($99.9) which packages a battery with a capacity of 2,700 mAh with support for wireless charging. As per recent speculations, the Galaxy S7 is supposed to come with a 3,000 mAh battery and the S7+ and S7 edge are said to package a gigantic 3,600 mAh battery.

Another interesting thing in the list is the first of its kind Samsung LED View Flip Cover (€69.99, or $77.7). According to the source, the flip-type case will have LEDs which will send out notification in case of incoming calls. Finally, a Leather Cover in black and brown color will also be released during the launch.

Nexus 5X was rolled out to the market as a part of Google's 7th gen Nexus smartphones (along with the Nexus 6P), in October 2015 as the descendant of the Nexus 5 from 2013.

Both Nexus 5 and the 5X are made by LG, but 5X is way ahead of what the predecessor was at the time of launch: though it is established that the Nexus 5 was a high-end smartphone, the Nexus 5X has been built as per 2015 and 2016 standards, like of a mid-range device. In addition to this, at launch, the Nexus 5X will cost more than 5. Here are the reasons that make this phone the best mid-range smartphone currently available in the US:

Samsung tweeted a new teaser just a few days ago and that little tweet has confirmed what the rumors had been saying all along; the Next Galaxy is going to be unveiled on February 21. One can argue that Samsung has not mentioned anything specifically about the upcoming S7, but most of us are sure that it is indeed the Galaxy S7 that we are being "teased" about. After all, what else could the box that the guy wearing the Samsung VR glasses is reaching for contain other than the Next Galaxy S7?

As far as we know, the Galaxy S7 will not stand alone in Barcelona because the Galaxy S7 Edge+ will be unveiled alongside it at the same event. We are not saying that these are the only two pieces of tech that we will see the Korean giant launch at the Samsung Unpacked 2016 event, but these two are definitely the top candidates. Rumors are circling from reliable sources that the Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will be seen on European shores shortly, but without its younger cousin, the Note Edge+ version. The Note 6 is now expected to be sold in the UK in August, according to an internal UK network operator source who has been privy to the future plans of the network.

This is a change in strategy from the Korean electronics giant which did the opposite in Europe for the Note 5 and S6 edge+ previously. Customers were unhappy about that decision and clearly Samsung were listening.

The sales of the S6 edge+ haven't been stellar according to certain sources. Clearly Samsung is having a rethink about where the edge series is most likely to find success rather than releasing it far and wide. This won't suit consumers who like to be presented with the most options available, but for a company with its seemingly endless handset variations, this kind of adjustment almost seems inevitable.

The Galaxy S7 is expected to arrive near the middle of this year and its 5.5-inch screen size isn't thought to be much smaller than with the Galaxy S7 edge+. This lack of differentiation coupled with the higher price for the edge+ range could well be the reason why sales of the edge+ haven't impressed lately.
