To quote Baltasar Gracián, "A wise man gets more use from his enemies than a fool from his friends." If the report by SamMobile is to be believed, then Samsung and Apple, two of the biggest rivals in the smartphone industry, are about to do business together. Although doing business together is nothing new for the two behemoths as Samsung is possibly developing OLED panels for Apple as we speak, bringing apps to the App Store is something totally new altogether.

According to the report, Samsung apps like Gear Manager, Smart Camera, Samsung Remote Control and S Health are about to make their way on to the App Store on iOS. If you are wondering what an iPhone user will utilize these apps for, then let us inform you that these apps can be used to control other Samsung products like Samsung Smart TVs, smart cameras and smartwatches.

If true, it will make iPhone much more open to products from other companies than it ever was. While this may be great for users who want to enjoy the best of both worlds, we will just have to wait and see how Apple handles it.

One can consider Google to be the pioneer in this field as they were the first ones to get all their apps across all platforms. Smartphone manufacturers like HTC and Blackberry had also done the same with some of their apps a while ago and it seems like Samsung is about to join the bunch.

Samsung has some big plans when it comes to manufacturing smartphones components and become a backward-integrated phone maker. To that end the Korean giant has started producing and using the display panels, camera sensors, processors, DRAM chips, storage chips, and cellular radios in its smart devices. Now, Samsung is about to start using the touchscreen IC manufactured by its System LSI division.

As per ETNews, it has been three years, since Samsung started the process of making its own touchscreen digitizer, and only recently they decided to go ahead with it in the Galaxy S7. Major thing is that, as per speculations this new digitizer will be used in the Galaxy S7 series of devices. Back in the days, the company used to depend on digitizers manufactured by Synaptics and ST Microelectronics for its high-end devices.

It is anticipated that Samsung will continue to minimize its dependency on third party vendors. Apart from that, as the usage of touchscreen displays is gradually increasing (even in laptops), the company wanted to speed up the process of developing its own touch screen digitizer. Now, companies like Synaptics and others will get massive blow to their revenue once Samsung ceases to buy digitizers from them.

Although the Samsung Galaxy S7's supposed launch date is still about a month away, most fans are already aware of its rumoured specs. We may even have a pretty good idea about how it will look! To add to this "preview" of sorts, two new photos have been leaked. From the look of things, it seems that they were taken in a Samsung production unit itself.

The first picture shows a total of twelve camera modules on a single factory board. Each of the modules has a number assigned to it that has been printed on the portion of the board that's right above it. On the top row, the modules are numbered from right to left alphabetically, starting with A1 and ending with F1. Similarly, on the bottom row, the numbers run from A2 to F2.

"SM-G930F_RO5_RFPCB" is printed on top of the board which confirms that these are indeed front camera modules for the S7 as SM-G930F was previously leaked to be the assigned codename for the Galaxy S7 Exynos version. The RO5 marking is probably there to indicate that this is the 5th revision for the modules. It looks like the new front camera will have its connector offset on the side, instead of being on its center like the Galaxy S6's front camera.

The Galaxy S7 is seen in its full bodied avatar in the next image, which has allegedly been shot with the first HTC One! Actually, it is not really full bodied as none of the design aspects which will make it to the final version are visible here. The picture simply shows a developer's version of the S7 being tested. Efforts have been made to even hide the brand name with a sticker right on top of the Samsung logo. The iconic Home and Back button designs however, clearly give it away.

Evan Blass, a tipster posted a tweet on Friday, disclosing that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be released in the U.S. on Friday, March 11th. We anticipate that the latest flagship smartphone will be announced on February 21st during Samsung's Unpacked 2016 event. This is also the day before the 2016 Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona.

As per the latest speculations surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S7, it will feature a 5.1-inch display with a 1440 x 2560 resolution. According to user's location the device will be backed by either the Snapdragon 820 chipset (US. and China) or the Exynos 8890 SoC (for the rest of the world) developed in-house. There will be 4GB RAM is along with 64GB built-in storage as revealed in a recently conducted AnTuTu benchmark test. The camera in the back will be of 12 MP and the front one will have 5MP.

During the release of Galaxy S7, it is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with larger screen will also be made available. This variant will feature a 5.5-inch 1440 x 2560 resolution display. Some are saying that the Galaxy S7 series will get couple of features initially found on 2014's Samsung Galaxy S5 that that were not available in 2015. For example: a microSD slot, IP67 certification (proof of protection from dust and water), and a replaceable battery.

The Galaxy A9 Pro is supposedly an upcoming smartphone from Samsung, which will sport a supersized Quad High Definition display. According to Sam Mobile, it will be an upgraded version of the Galaxy A9; that is already rocking the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset. The A9 Pro will allegedly have the model number SM-A9100, which seems logical as the recently released A9 had the model number SM-A9000. If you consider the fact that the A9 already has a huge display which measures at 6-inches, anything larger could simply be too large to be called a phone for most people.

The A9 is still running on Lollipop, but speculations about the A9 Pro indicate that it could be loaded with Android 6.0 marshmallow, out of the box. If you are wondering as to why none of your local or online retailers are selling even the Galaxy A9 yet, then rest assured that so far, it is only being released and sold in China for about $490 - $500. Reports from Sam Mobile indicate that the A9 Pro will also be released in China first, if it really is in the making of course! We will keep you posted on the latest news regarding the A9 Pro's specs and release dates in different geographical locations, as soon as more news comes in.
