"Free" as a word has the ability to get consumer attention instantly. While retail stores usually adopt this sales technique to boost sales, manufacturers are also not behind. For innovative companies pioneering in a field in which others fear to tread, free as a tool can be used to gain and retain competitive advantage against others.

In 2015 Samsung's smartphone arsenal comprising of the Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, and Galaxy Note 5 is gaining eminence for wireless charging capabilities. Samsung played a masterstroke by incorporating wireless charging in the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge earlier this year, but the Korean giant took the game to another level by making wireless charging faster in the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5. This resulted in faster charging times and in turn it would compel customers to adapt wireless charging as a necessary part of their lives.

Right now the only competitor to wireless charging is the USB Type-C technology which is available in flagship phones like Onplus 2, Nexus 6p. One problem with this new technology is the replacement cost, when USB Type-C cable gets damaged. If this gets accepted as a mainstream accessory, wireless charging will be left for the "early adopter". But, we consider that wireless charging is a better technology, as it saves the phone battery from mild electric shock whenever it is plugged in and thereby elongating the battery life.

In order to drive adoption and make wireless charging the de-facto technology of charging phones, Samsung can give away wireless charger as a necessary accessory in the high-end smartphones scheduled for release in the future.

Earlier this year when Samsung launched its Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, something that got leaked out was both of the smartphone's inability to support expandandable storage via microSD card.

Although there was mixed response about this limitation, consumers took note of this while choosing devices with various storage options (32, 64 and 128 GB) available at different price point. Now it seems Samsung might be considering the option to give expandable storage via miscroSD in the S7, which is supposed to release in the first quarter of 2016.

According to HDBlog.it, Samsung will release two devices at Mobile World Congress 2016, with the Galaxy S7 featuring a 5.2-inch flat display and the Galaxy S7 edge, like the S6 edge -- having a 5.7-inch curved screen. There were speculations in August that the two new handsets would be powered by the Snapdragon 820 chipset, marking a comeback to Qualcomm over Samsung's own Exynos chip.

But, the S7 is rumored to have a top and bottom curved screen, as well as the expandable storage option mentioned above. Right now it's not quite clear if this flagship device will get removable storage We hope to see this unfold in the due course of time.

Galaxy S6 has been considered prettier in comparison to its earlier versions because of the thin, sleek and shiny design. But ironically these are the features which make this phone not suitable for usage in harsh conditions like constructions or mining. Samsung took note of this and came up with a new variant with similar hardware configuration along with design changes.

So we have the Galaxy S6 Active, a rough and tough version of the phone that comes with a built-in case. Although it is not looking as good as the S6, but the phone body has a better build quality and it can sustain in bumpy conditions. The sad part is that the updates are rather slow and it is getting the upgrade to Android 5.1.1 quite late.

Along with the latest version of Android Lollipop, Samsung Pay will also be shipped to the device. The update with build number G890AUCU3BOJE has been released as an OTA, and it will be rolled out in phases, so it might take a few days before the users get a notification to update the software. Samsung has added a new budget phone to the J series in the Chinese market after making many unofficial appearances. In terms of specifications the new phone, Galaxy J3⑥ is almost similar to Galaxy J5 and Galaxy On5 (launched in India this month). It is available in the chinese website and in every listing ⑥ is listed in the title.

A Super AMOLED 5-inch HD display and big battery (2,600 mAh) are the most important features here, given that they are the two features that aren't quite common on budget devices. The J3⑥ sports an unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1.5GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and 8GB of expandable storage. The phone's width is of 7.9 mm, which also matches with the J5.

The software is powered by Android 5.1.1 Lollipop along with Samsung's latest TouchWiz UX, with option to remove preinstalled apps (facility is available only in China). The Korean company is also giving 72 yuan (roughly $11) worth of downloadable games prepackaged in the device, although the price of the handset is not yet out. TEENA recently certified a device - Samsung SM-W2016 which is essentially a flip phone with the power of the mighty S6.

The flip phone sports a glass back with curves on the side that gives the feeling of the S6 edge. It has two identical screens both inside or outside and 3.9" Super AMOLEDs with 768 x 1,280px resolution (383ppi). That's not as good as the specs offered by S6, but the SM-W2016 measures 120.4 x 61 x 15.1mm, which is not bad for a flip phone. But 200g weight is obviously more than expected. Anyway, the performance is improved with an octa-core processor (supposedly the Exynos 7420) and 3GB of RAM along with 64GB of in-built storage. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop (Samsung is yet to upgrade to Marshmallow).

Just like the screen, the camera also got a demotion. There's an 8MP/1080p primary snapper on the back (with a heart rate sensor) and a 5MP camera to take selfie. I'm quite confident that with a flip you can also use the camera on the back for selfies. The T9 keypad below the screen resembles older design and a SIM switch button placed above, suggests that it might be a dual-SIM phone.
