This year Samsung decided to go with the company's Exynos 7420 processor for both Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge instead of Snapdragon 810. As per the rumors floating around the internet, both Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge might use Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8 Octa 8890 processor. Amid speculations, now the online community got hold of the model numbers of both of the devices.

According to this list, the Galaxy S7 (SM-G930) and S7 edge (SM-G935) will be released with either the Exynos or Snapdragon processor. This choice will be dependent on the market condition and wireless carriers. The devices featuring Snapdragon 820 are listed for China (SM-G9300, SM-G9350), Verizon (SM-G930V, SM-G935V), Sprint (SM-G930P, SM-G935P) and US Cellular (SM-G930R4, SM-G935R4). Please note that most probably these models will be used for CDMA carriers.

On the contrary the international unlocked models like T-Mobile (SM-G930T, SM-G935T), AT&T (SM-G930A, SM-G935A), Canada (SM-G930W8, SM-G935W8) and Korean variants (SM-G930 S/K/L, SM-G935 S/K/L) will be featuring Exynos 8 Octa 8890.

All of the information given above is not from any official source. So it is very difficult validate the authenticity right now. Although the model numbers generally follow the same pattern, we'll have sit tight and wait some more information to be completely sure about this.

Some new images of the yet to be released Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 have emerged. Right now these are the clearest images available online and it is quite evident that the smartphone will sport a metallic body and get improved specifications in comparison to existing Galaxy A series. Looks like the device is imitating the design language of the Galaxy S6 along with a bigger home button. Although this was not a part of today's leak, considering the fact that the Galaxy A8 has a similar sensor and this type of components have native support from Android 6.0, it can be safely concluded.

Reportedly the Galaxy A5 will be featuring a 5.2 inch full HD screen (most probably SAMOLED) and a 1.6GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7 SoC with Mali-T720 GPU. It is also expected that there would be 2GB RAM and 16GB storage in the device. A5 will have a 13 MP snapper in the back and the counterpart in the front will be of 5 MP. It will have support for Android 5.1.1 and microSD.

A7 (SM-A710) is reportedly going to feature a 5.5-inch Full HD SAMOLED display, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 SoC with Adreno 405 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of device storage. The camera in the back and front will be of 13 MP and 5 MP respectively. It will also support Android 5.1.1 and microSD.

Though the pictures suggest that the smartphones are on the verge of getting released, the Korean company is yet to report any concrete information.

Although Samsung's flagship Galaxy S6 is quite new to the market, rumours have already started floating around the web about the S7 variant. As per a usually reliable leakster @evleaks, the Galaxy S7 is already getting tested in the USA. He specifically said that currently AT&T is testing two variants of the handset: SM-G930A and SM-G935A which would be known as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge respectively.

According to other rumours, there might be a release for the Galaxy S7 in the first quarter of 2016. As Mobile World Congress is going to be held at the end of February in 2016, there is a high probability that Samsung might choose this event to launch its Galaxy S7. It would take some time to get a sneak peek into the specs - probably near to the date of launch.

Although not much is not known right now, there have been speculations that the device would get a magnesium build, feature a USB Type-C port, and sport 3D Touch-like pressure sensitive display. The Korean company's next gen chipset Exynos 8890 will be powering half of the Galaxy S7 units and the rest of the devices will be powered by Snapdragon 820.
