Launching new colours after a product launch is nothing new for Samsung. While they skipped additional colours for their Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, they're introducing two new colour options for the Galaxy Note 5 in South Korea.

Samsung's treating their home market to two stand-out colours - Pink Gold and Silver Titanium. This is in addition to their previous colours - Pearl White, Black Sapphire and Platinum Gold. Samsung already debuted the Silver Titanium during the Galaxy Note 5 launch and it's likely this is the exact colour scheme being offered in South Korea.

Based on the launch images, the Pink Gold fits the pink smartphone trend. The deeper pink is definitely a stand out from many of the pink devices now available. Those wanting the Silver Titanium should consider how well fingerprints show up, though it does work well as a mirror.

If you want the new colours, the Silver Titanium 32 GB costs 899,900 won ($800). Both colours are available in the 64 GB version for 965,800 won ($850).

Samsung's debuting their new Tizen powered Samsung Z3 in India. It's designed as a value device, but it still features some major hardware improvements over the Z1.

The Z3 features:

  • 1.3 GHz quad-core processor
  • 720p 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display
  • 8 GB internal storage
  • 1 GB RAM
  • Compatibility for up 128 GB microSD cards
  • 8 MP rear and 5 MP front cameras

Despite the upgrades, the Samsung Z3 still lacks support for 4G LTE. The design itself is reminiscent of Samsung's mid-range priced Galaxy A series with the curved back much like a Galaxy Note 5.

The Tizen OS and software features such as Ultra Data Saving Mode gives users as much as a 40% data savings. The Ultra Power Saving Mode boosts battery life as well. Samsung's also tailored their My Galaxy app to offer content specifically for Indian consumers.

You can get the Z3 in silver, black and gold for Rs. 8,490 or $130. It'll be available later in the month via Snapdeal.

950 Pro

Samsung has introduced a new SSD today. It's called 950 Pro, and it's insanely fast. The drive is the first one to bring vertical NAND technology to the consumer space. It's a Non-Volatile Memory Express M.2 SSD, in the M.2 2280 size.

It will be offered in two capacities 256GB for $199.99 and 512GB for $349.99. Thanks to its support for the PCIe Gen.3 x4 interface, it delivers speeds that SATA-using drives can only dream of.

Warranty-wise you're looking at five years of coverage for both capacities, with the 256GB model getting that up to 200 terabytes written, and the 512GB unit up to 400 terabytes written. Samsung A9

Apple released a new lineup of devices this year... the iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and Apple Watch. All these new devices are running iOS 9 and powered by Apple A9 chipset which is said to be the most advanced and fastest CPU so far.

What you may not know that all these devices are actually Powered by Samsung, the Korean giant is the main manufacturer and supplier for the Apple A9 chip. Apple have chosen Samsung to build its CPUs since the Apple A6, admitting that Samsung is the best hardware supplier in the industry even though the companies are in a serious competition in markets and court too.

Powered by Samsung

Also, Samsung has been allegedly employed to provide between 3,000 and 4,000 12-inch silicon wafers for the Apple S1 SiP (which powers the Apple Watch) each month, based on Samsung's 28nm manufacturing process for all Apple Watch variants.

Samsung foldable

Earlier this year we have reported that Samsung has officially announced that it's building on a bendable/foldable smartphone for this year. Well, it looks like we are getting really close to see this device on markets, it packs codename "Samsung Project Valley" and it has faced some delays and expected to be ready to launch by January,2016.

Samsung is reportedly testing both Snapdragon 620 and 820 for the phone. It doesn't become clear if that's for two separate versions of the phone or just looking for the most suitable chipset. Either way, it will have 3GB of RAM.

The battery will be non-removable, as the Korean will have to design a custom battery for this device but Samsung Project Valley will allegedly have a microSD slot. The screen will certainly be OLED, there are no bendy LCDs.
