A New Galaxy note will be coming next year for sure and the korean giant labs is already preparing for it. Samsung has been teasing its development of a 4K AMOLED display for a long time now, but now a new piece of information suggests the first phone to brag with it is the Galaxy Note 5.

According to a new Samsung display roadmap, a Samsung 4K AMOLED screen is 6" in diagonal and packs a pixel density of 743ppi is coming on 2015.

This information is not confirmed yet, it's very early to say, but is highly likely for Samsung to use this display on its upcoming Phablet. The Galaxy Note family of smartphones grow ever so larger in terms of display, so a 6" would be a logical evolutionary step for the Galaxy Note 5.

Moreover, recent rumors suggest that Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by an Exynos 7420 Octa-core chipset, which would have four Cortex-A57 cores + four Cortex-A53.

The dual-SIM version of the Samsung Galaxy A5 is now listed on the company's official website in China. It is selling for $420 (CNY 2,599). Samsung is also planning to release the Galaxy A3 very soon too.

The Galaxy A5 is the latest member of Samsung's upper mid-range family of smartphones with a steel frame. It was announced almost a month ago and packs 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. It is built around a 5" Super AMOLED 720p display and at the back, there's a 13MP snapper with LED flash.

Flexible displays are slowly but surely making their way into our mobile devices. Samsung's first official Smartphone with a flexible curved display is the Galaxy Note Edge. Samsung's next step, however, will be represented by displays that can be "folded in half", according to a senior Samsung executive. The wording seems to imply that the smartphone that will have that screen attached to it will be bendable as well.

Samsung's display-making subsidiary is gearing up for production of such panels, and it boasts that it will have the capacity to make 30,000 to 40,000 of them each month by the end of 2015.

Apparently, none of Samsung's competitors will be able to match that production capacity for flexible displays until 2016. And Samsung plans to use its advantage, by coming out with a bendable phone before the end of 2015.

That said, "nothing has been decided on the finished product" just yet. But if it does come out in 2015, expect it to be another "limited edition" type thing, just like the Galaxy Note Edge is this year. That's because a mass market flagship will require millions of units being made per month, and not tens of thousands.

Korean newspaper ETNews has outed a report citing a Samsung insider, who claims the company is going to use a next-gen NAND flash storage in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6. The storage technology in question is called UFS 2.0, which stands for Universal Flash Storage.

UFS can reach SSD-like transfer speeds, but is cheap to manufacture like eMMC memory chips. In fact, it's three times faster than eMMC memory with a transfer speed of up to 1.2GB/s. Power consumption is lower than eMMC storage, which won't lead to battery drains or overheating. Recent UFS 2.0 technology development has lead to half the power consumption of eMMC 5.0, the source says.

The standard is established under the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) initiative by Samsung, Nokia and Micron in 2007. Toshiba and SK Hynix are also involved in the development of the UFS 2.0 memory. Samsung is expected to start mass producing the new NAND flash storage in the coming weeks.

Samsung is working on the Galaxy S6 codenamed "Project Zero" to make a complete design overhaul to its upcoming flagship. An analyst tipped how Samsung could utilize its YOUM brand of flexible displays for the S6, and have it curved to the sides, just like the Galaxy Note Edge, but on both right and left sides this time.

Samsung Galaxy S6 to have a dual-edged flexible display panel, tips screen analyst Jerry Kang, a senior analyst at IHD Technology, has mentioned at the IHS Display Analyst conference on Thursday, that "the Galaxy S6 to be released next year will feature a dual-edged screen which is curved on the right and left sides." In fact, the source mentions that this has been the initial Note Edge concept all along, but Samsung decided to slope the screen to the right only, after all.

An early look at the Galaxy S6 Project Zero undertaking pegs it as having a Quad HD display, Snapdragon 810 processor, a 16 MP or 20 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, and an upgraded 5 MP front-facing shooter. In fact, the flexible display rumor about the Galaxy S6 has been bandied about before, and it also included the Note 5 in the whisper, so next year might be when Samsung's bendy screens really take off in production volumes.
