The coolest smartphones of 2022

Every year, new technology comes out, and all lovers of the latest models try to buy and test them faster. Probably, a smartphone is the most necessary thing for every person, so we will talk about the best smartphones of 2022 in this article. If you want to earn money quickly to buy the latest novelty - go to the site of the bookmaker Tony Bet.

Apple iPhone 14 Plus

Remember the iPhone 13 mini? Apple has decided to phase out the mini-series. Sales are said to have fallen short of expectations. Instead of the 14 mini, a completely new model enters the market - the iPhone 14 Plus.

The new one, of course, is a stretch, because in fact, we have an enlarged iPhone 14, which, in turn, is not much different from the iPhone 13. The 14 Plus received a large 6.7-inch screen and unexpectedly low weight (203 g for its dimensions). ). The chipset is the same Apple A15 Bionic, while the amount of RAM is as much as 6 GB. This suggests that the iPhone 14 Plus has just a huge margin of performance. There is support for fast and wireless charging, IP68 moisture protection, and stereo sound.

The camera is like in the iPhone 13/14 with two sensors: the main one and the ultra-wide angle. This is a very cool camera that makes the iPhone 14 Plus one of the best camera phones on the market.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra has risen in price compared to its predecessor, but there is an explanation for this. For example, it completely replaced the Note series - you will find a stylus built into the case, which does not need to be purchased separately.

The screen diagonal has not changed, and the screen has become even a little better (maximum brightness - 1750 nits!). The chipset is a more powerful Samsung Exynos 2200 (for our market), but there is no longer a version with 16 GB of RAM. A version with 1 TB of main memory has appeared, but the battery capacity has not changed - it's still the same 5000 mAh. Charging has become faster - 45 W, only it is sold separately. The camera has not changed much, but due to other algorithms, the pictures are even better.

The most important difference is still a completely redesigned rear end. This is where the S22 Ultra is definitely not to be confused with the S21 Ultra.

Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022

A Redmi series smartphone that is at least one class above the Redmi 10C.

It looks expensive, and the 6.5-inch IPS-matrix received a high resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The nimble MediaTek Helio G88 chipset is used, the amount of RAM is 4 or 6 GB, the ROM is 64 or 128 GB. The fingerprint scanner is located on the side, there is an NFC sensor and even an infrared port. Separately, we note the presence of stereo speakers.

You should not expect miracles from the camera, but for its class, it is good: thanks to the main 50 MP sensor. Additional sensors: macro, depth sensor, and ultra wide-angle.

Xiaomi 12T

Xiaomi 11T turned out to be extremely successful and sold in huge quantities. Despite the fact that this is not a flagship device, the smartphone has received a lot of expensive chips. The successor of 11T, Xiaomi 12T, continues this tradition.

The smartphone received a design in the style of the flagship Xiaomi 12, a large and very high-quality 6.67-inch display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and high resolution, a very powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Ultra chip that allows you to run even the most "heavy" games, a capacious 5000 battery mAh with fast charging up to 120W, very loud stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 6 and 5G. Interestingly, the scanner returned to the screen - before it was sideways.

And of course, for its price, this is a great camera. It consists of three sensors: main, "ultra-wide" and macro. The main one received a resolution of 108 MP right away and shoots perfectly both day and night.

Realme GT Neo 3T

The smartphone of the middle price segment from realme. The colors can impress: there is the usual black, and there is, for example, a back with a checkered flag. Looks unusual.

The smartphone received a high-quality AMOLED matrix with a diagonal of 6.62 inches a high resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G chip is responsible for the performance, which allows you to play almost any, even the most "heavy" games. The battery capacity is typical - 5000 mAh, but the power of the power supply is atypical - as much as 80 watts. There is support for Wi-Fi 6 and 5G.

There are three lenses in the camera: main, ultra-wide, and macro. The main resolution is 64 MP, it shoots, as they say, with your own money.

Tips for Buying Refurbished Phones

You can save quite a bit of money by purchasing refurbished mobiles instead of shelling out significant cash for new devices. But, not all refurbished phones are the same, so you need to understand what you're looking for before you make your purchase. Here are some tips for buying refurbished phones to help you get a high-quality device at a reasonable price.

Refurbished Doesn't Always Mean Used

Most people associate the word "refurbished" with the word "used," but not all refurbished phones are used. They also often think that refurbished phones are old phones that don't have the newest technology. Both of these assumptions are myths because you can find refurbished phones that aren't used and aren't old. While they might not have the most recent technology available, refurbished phones can undoubtedly keep up with the newest models.

Many refurbished phones are simply customer returns, and most of those weren't even returned because something was wrong with them. They were returned because the customer didn't know how to work the phone or didn't like it. The phones can no longer be sold as "new" and are refurbished to meet original manufacturer standards. These like-new phones can be purchased at a significant discount over their new counterparts.

Choose a Refurbished Phone Wisely

There is always a little bit of a risk when buying a refurbished phone, but there's a risk when purchasing a new phone too. Sometimes, you get a product that just doesn't work. If you're buying a new phone, that usually isn't a problem because they come with a warranty, but with a refurbished phone, you might not have that option. So, before you buy a refurbished phone, make sure the company accepts returns and offers a 90-day warranty.

Most companies should allow you to exchange the phone for another if it doesn't work the way it should. If they don't, that should be a huge red flag not to buy from that company. Additionally, you really need a warranty so that if your phone stops working within a few months of getting it, you can return it for replacement or repair. A 90-day warranty is standard for refurbished devices, so keep looking until you find a company that offers this perk.

Make Sure Accessories Are Available

This is becoming less of an issue as refurbished phones catch up to current technology, but you do need to be aware that if you buy an older refurbished phone model, it might not come with accessories such as a charger or case. You will need to track these items down and spend more money if it doesn't. And sometimes, that's not an easy task, depending on how old the phone is. If you have to choose between a slightly more expensive refurbished phone with accessories and a cheaper model without accessories, it's almost always better to spend a little more on the extras.

Conclusion

There are some great deals to be had by purchasing refurbished phones, but as with anything, you must be careful. Check out the warranty and return policy from any seller you're considering and make sure you're able to get accessories if the phone you want doesn't come with them.

Most Popular Mobile Phones in the UK 2022

Smartphone use in the UK is at an all-time high with ownership now up to 78.9%, topping off a decade of digital dependency among the population. As smartphones reach a saturation point in western markets, brands are striving to offer devices at a wider range of price points to meet varying requirements and preferences. This is also driving a thriving resale market of refurbished and second hand devices. The enduring popularity of smartphones is rooted in reasons beyond their primary roles as communication and web browsing utilities. Smartphones have effectively become many people's primary computing device, and as such are relied on for a huge range of tasks.

Content Consumption

Smartphones are increasingly used as entertainment devices, with the average UK owner using their smartphone around 2.5 hours a day. This takes the form of everything from checking feeds on social media platforms like Instagram, to consuming video content on YouTube and Netflix. Smartphones are also increasingly becoming the preferred gaming device for UK adults, with around 30% of the population stating that they frequently played mobile games, of which 9.2%, or 6.2 million people, said they play daily. This is perhaps unsurprising given the ease of access afforded to mobile gamers. Not only can players utilize platforms such as VegasSlotsOnline to play mobile casino games optimized for all devices through their web-browser, but they can choose from among the nearly 1 million games on the App store. Hardware developments, from larger battery capacity, to higher resolution displays and faster data connections all contribute to making modern devices a compelling alternative to traditional games consoles.

Market Preferences

With people using smartphones in such diverse ways, the markets reflect these requirements. Devices that offer competitive features at an affordable price point have displaced the preponderance of flagship, business oriented phones that were the norm in the late 00s. Below we're taking a look at the most popular mobile phones currently available in the UK, based upon data collected in a government survey in Q4 of 2021.

Moreover, Moto G Power is a good choice for the price because it can take some great photos, especially with the main sensor. Motorola dropped the ultra-wide camera for this model, leaving you with 48-megapixel wide and 2-megapixel macro cameras, as well as an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Photos taken in bright outdoor light have a lot of detail, although the colours can be a bit washed out. Regardless, you can expect decent overall performance from the Moto G Power.

Unlocking a cell phone removes SIM

Unlocking a cell phone removes SIM restrictions from a phone that has been programmed to reject other types of SIM cards.

When you unlock your cell phone, you can use it with another carrier's service after unlocking as long as the new service provider uses the same radio frequencies. Prepaid phones can also be unlocked, opening up their use to foreign carriers' networks.

Why Do You Need To Unlock Your Phone?

If you plan to travel internationally and buy local SIM cards for your stay, you will have to unlock your existing mobile phone. In this way, you will avoid very high roaming fees and save money while using your device abroad.

Even if you don't plan to travel out of the country but want more choices in choosing your phone carrier, you need to unlock your cell phone. Unlocking phones is legal and very easy these days, with software that you can download online at no cost.

But sometimes, manufacturers make it very difficult for customers to do this on their own. They may want you to buy a locked device from them to get an unlock code or want you to use their service provider to get it unlocked for a fee.

You may not know, but most carriers will not push updates via OTA (over-the-air) if your mobile phone is unlocked. Yes, even Sprint! So if you buy a new smartphone by signing up with AT&T or Verizon, the chances are that it will probably be usable only on their network without an unlock.

However, if your device is already unlocked, all you have to do is update the system version from time to time, and it becomes reflected in less than an hour.

10 Reasons Why You Need To Unlock Your Phone

  1. It saves money buying a local prepaid SIM card while traveling abroad.
  2. It avoids paying high international roaming charges while traveling abroad.
  3. By unlocking your cell phone, any other person can use their own SIM card in your mobile phone for free calls or data usage anywhere around the world.
  4. It allows you to use the latest software updates from Google on your smartphone after the manufacturer or carrier has stopped updating it with OTA.
  5. New phones will usually be unusable on any other network without being unlocked by the carrier that owns them.
  6. Free unlocking is now possible using online software, which is legal and reasonably practical these days.
  7. Your cell phone will not be blacklisted due to unpaid bills from another network service provider, so this means no more roaming charges ever again!

Why Is Your Phone Locked?

Most carriers lock phones they sell during shipment or shortly after activation to force you to utilize only their service for an agreed period. It is called 'SIM lock.'

Carriers do this to ensure that you are committed to using their services for the duration of your contract, not only because it guarantees them income but also because most smartphone companies offer deals on phones along with a plan.

Many mobile phones are now being sold unlocked out-of-the-box. However, many devices have various forms of "locking" mechanisms -- including carrier-specific software locks, hardware locks, user-inputted passwords when making changes in the phone's settings, and SIM locks.

When you buy a new mobile device, the chances are that it is locked to one carrier and can work only on their network.

Unlocking a Mobile Phone

It is possible to unlock your cell phone, but this can be time-consuming, and sometimes it may require even more than one code from the provider. The exact timeframe for how long it will take depends on whether you've purchased a premium service or an automated no-cost system.

It also depends on your particular mobile model number and technical specifications, such as its unique IMEI, which identifies each cell phone in any GSM wireless telecommunications network.

Precautions:

  • Be sure that you have a SIM card from another telephone service provider. If you don't have one, then purchase an unlocked cell phone to avoid getting yourself in trouble.
  • Be sure you have not unlocked your cell phone before without the permission of your original carrier, and they will not still be able to track it.
  • You must write down or remember your unlock code if the provider provides it instead of using an automated no-cost service.

Summary

You can unlock your cell phone with the help of an unlock code. After unlocking your cell phone, you will get the freedom to use any SIM card in your device anywhere in the world. This process is very safe and does not make any changes to your phone's software or hardware settings.

Recently, a report from Canalys uncovered that Xiaomi had overwhelmed Apple as far as worldwide smartphone portion of the overall industry. Xiaomi represented 83% of development year-over-year, representing a 17% offer in Q2 2021 shipments. From that point forward, Canalys has refreshed its report, showing that Xiaomi currently represents a 18% offer, only one rate point behind Samsung's 19% worldwide portion of the overall industry.

In the wake of passing Apple, Xiaomi focuses on Samsung for in worldwide portion of the overall industry

Xiaomi accomplished this gratitude to the 52.8 million shipments in Q2 2021, as per the refreshed numbers. This outperforms any semblance of Apple, Oppo, and Vivo, and gets Xiaomi inside striking distance of Samsung for the best position.

While Xiaomi keeps on dazzling with its different gadgets, the organization additionally is delivering new alternatives in various business sectors constantly. As of late, we saw the Poco F3 GT and X3 GT declared, while we are equipping to see a bustling Fall with the expected arrival of a Xiaomi Mi Mix 4, Mi Mix Fold, and possibly the Mi 12.

Samsung, then again, is placing the entirety of its eggs in the foldable phone bin. The organization emphasized that it has no aim of delivering the Galaxy Note 21 this year. All things considered, we'll be seeing the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Past reports propose that Samsung is meaning to sell somewhere in the range of six and 7,000,000 foldable gadgets in the second 50% of the year.

By adding new highlights like S Pen support for the Z Fold 3, and working on the strength of both foldable phones, it's certainly conceivable. In any case, Samsung could likewise help itself by delivering the supposed Galaxy S21 FE at some point soon. This threesome of phones could assist with keeping Samsung on the leaderboards for the present. In any case, with Huawei practically out of the opposition, presently may very well be Xiaomi's most obvious opportunity to overwhelm Samsung and turn into the #1 smartphone producer on the planet.

Secretive issue is killing Samsung Galaxy S20 screens

How long can we reasonably hope to utilize our phones for? We figure that generally, you could pull off 3-4 years, possibly more on the off chance that you deal with it. However, a phone to kick the bucket after under two years? Clearly something isn't right, and that is the issue looked by a developing number of Samsung Galaxy S20 clients.

As per different reports going back in May, various Galaxy S20 proprietors have begun to see that their showcases are running into issues. It would begin with their screens showing filter lines which deteriorate over the long haul, until the presentation shows all white or green and is delivered unusable.

A post on the Samsung discussions shares how one client was advised by a Samsung rep to delicate reset their phone which clearly didn't help. Some have even had a go at booting the phone in experimental mode however that likewise didn't tackle the issue. At the present time, the lone method of addressing this issue is to have the screen supplanted.

And, after its all said and done, this has represented somewhat of an issue on the grounds that not every person is being covered by guarantee, which implies that any fixes or substitutions are covered out of their own pocket. It is muddled what could be causing this issue, yet ideally Samsung knows about it and is dealing with an answer, regardless of whether it be a product update or offering free substitutions or fixes.

There is simply no denying that 2020 has already been a good year for the mobile industry. Heck, the industry has seen growth and revenue increase, unlike anything they've experienced before. That being said, this is likely something that you could have said about the previous couple of years as well as going back a decade or more. It seems like every year smartphone makers and creators are pushing the limits of what they did in the previous years. Phone-makers are evolving faster and becoming more innovative! There is simply no other way to put it. This is a good and bad thing for consumers all around the globe.

The Best Smartphone Investment For 2020

While it does provide access to more options and features along with a variety of pricing options, it does oversaturate the market. Everyone from Apple to Samsung wants to get in on the action. And, they have! Needless to say, this makes choosing a make and model in today's market more confusing and difficult than ever. That was until you came across this handy guide.

The Budget Phone

If you've been shopping around the market recently, you don't need anyone to remind you that today's options are more expensive than ever. If you are like some people, you can remember when it was easy to pick up a phone for under $50 to $100. This isn't the case today. And, if you were able to score a phone at this price, it would be so slow and outdated that you couldn't use it. Whatever the situation, this is why it is always important to consider pricing when shopping. That's exactly where the iPhone SE will come in handy for many. Starting at just $400 for the basic model, this is easily one of the more affordable options with the features and capabilities that most people are looking for today.

It features an A13 processor along with an amazing camera that will capture some of the most beautiful selfies and shots. It also features a TouchID and home button, which are older features, but some of the more popular ones. Users from all around will appreciate that this phone includes them.

The Android Experience

Android phones broke onto the market not too long ago and are an immensely popular option amongst many online gamblers that take advantage of the casino bonus. This is because there are a lot of real money gambling apps that are compatible with these styles of phones. And, the Note 20 Ultra is no exception. It'll also offer you access to a wide range of apps, including ones that you can use to play games for real cash and make bets. The Note 20 Ultra, just like its smaller cousin the Note 20, might be a pricey phone, but it has features to back that price.

The screen is probably amongst the most notable. The phone features an embedded S Pen stylus that allows users to easily and quickly navigate their way around the phone. Whether playing games or simply browsing the web, the embedded pen will pay dividends. Combine this with the triple-rear camera array and high-powered processor, and you are looking at one of the most solid and reliable phones on the market today.

The Value Phone

Speaking of reliability and value, one can never go wrong with the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. These phones are nowhere as near well known as the Apple of Samsung, but they offer a premium experience at a more reasonable price range. Just like the advanced Android smartphone, both of these feature a 120Hz display that is simply stunning along with a telephoto camera. Although still more affordable, the OnePlus 8 does come available with 5G capabilities that will make surfing, streaming, and gaming so much more effective and efficient.

Top of The Line Android

Going back to Android devices, fans of these styles of phones are going to love the Samsung Galaxy S20 along with everything about it. This phone will be the staple for Android devices in 2020, as it will more than set the bar. It will be the bar for Android standards and excellency. It features a brilliant 6.2-inch display along with smooth 120Hz processing, wireless charging, water-resistant design, and three amazing rear cameras.

Technology is currently expanding at an exponential rate as the age of digitalisation takes further root in society. The modern payment concept seems to combine a traditional cash transaction that is slowly but surely coming to an end with an ever-growing network of ePayment via smart devices as the old and new battle it out as digitalisation comes of age. Of course, as the technology develops rapidly, keeping in touch with the latest trends can often be a tricky concept, but there are some features which are obviously taking hold in society. It is those listed here that will dominate the future of mobile payment technology.

The mobile apps are upping the game

Scan the Android library or the Apple app store and what greets you is a continuous stream of applications to download and use. Most of these you see are game-related, whether it's games on https://www.facebook.com/ or https://www.usrealmoney-casinos.com/, there is an incredible array of choice. With epayment becoming a vital part of how consumers now purchase services, all it takes is one click of a button and an add-on or wager can be bought or placed instantly.

Some apps that are making the future of mobile payment much easier though are those that provide a so-called ‘ewallet'. Enabling customers to purchase whatever they want in person or online, the ewallet is revolutionizing how payments are being made, but why is that?

How improved security has fired mobile wallets into the public eye

The whole purpose, essentially, of the mobile wallet is convenience. Taking out your physical wallet or purse and trying to sift through the notes or coins to pay for goods and services can often be a bugbear for consumers. Pulling out your phone, however, and going straight to the wallet app can make things easier - there's no faffing about for the right change and it's a simple transaction.

But, convenience alone is not enough to convince the average consumer to ditch the bulging pocket or handbag for a mobile phone. Security is also a major factor when handing over hard-earned money - and so it should be.

Digital authentication is the name of the game for mobile wallet apps. And, most offer or require dual authentication to use. So, even if people make a purchase with a mobile wallet, a pin could still be required. Some smartphones take this authentication and security even further by possessing biometric authentication.

It sounds complicated, but it ensures that only authorized app users are able to use a phone or smart device in order to purchase a product or make a deposit on Paripop, thereby providing an ideal way of identifying the owner of an account and thus reducing chances of identity theft and fraud.

If you don't believe the writing, then believe the statistics; by the end of this year, payments on a mobile wallet are predicted to hit $500 billion - a massive rise from the $75 billion accrued in 2016. That rise accounts to a yearly growth of almost 80% over a period of half of a decade.

What this means for physical payment cards

Despite them being popular with the older generation, all this hype and growth surrounding mobile wallets has obviously prompted the decline of physical payment cards. As cash effectively gets trumped by the online world, the need to have an actual physical card in your pocket is decreasing with each passing year. Of course, non-cash payments are still a credit and debit card hotspot, with over 70% of Americans using at least one credit card.

But it's not just a mobile wallet where the future of payment lies. The concept of near field communication - or NFC - is transforming how transactions between consumers and merchants are completed, meaning payments can be made on the go, rendering physical forms of payment in various environments obsolete. The reliability and efficiency of such notions has been a key catalyst to the soaring of mobile payments.

The concept of mPOS and its societal impact

Where the future of mobile payment technology will centre around is the demand for mobile point of sale (mPOS) technology. Such units have come into being as a way of making or receiving payment without having to use in-store cash registers and sale terminals, driving the credit card into obscurity too.

The flexibility provided by mPOS as well as their portability - both compact and wire-free - make them ideal additions to trade shows, concerts and even food trucks as transactions can be completed wherever customers are. The Apple stores in particular showcase the mPOS in action perfectly. Customers are able to purchase goods with any employee instead of queueing in a line for the cash registers.

But, mPOS isn't just a trend that is around for a few years then disappears, it will be the future of mobile payment. There will be nearly 28 million mPOS devices in use by 2021, compared to the 3.2 million in 2014. Such a hike in numbers is largely down to the flexibility and convenience of mPOS in this current climate with merchants able to conduct business anywhere, whereas they were previously just used in brick-and-mortar locations.

Social commerce knocks shopping out of the park

If there is one trend right now that is showing no signs of letting up it's the power of social media. It is king with people in the streets, on public transport or merely at home scrolling for hours on end through endless sites and stories. No wonder then that businesses are trying to market such a huge audience.

But, technology has developed in such a way that when users sift through Instagram, Facebook or Snapchat and come across a product or service that they like the look of, no longer do they need to leave the app in order to search any further. All that is required is a click on the shop now button and the user can start buying - and all this without being redirected to an online store.

As a result, the payment process is much faster and smoother as a mobile shopping cart integrates with social media technology, and with the help of chatbot checkouts and autofill, customers tend to be satisfied much sooner than if they went in store.

Mobile is the future

Mobile wallets and mobile point of sale devices are where the future of mobile payment lies. The trends are already present - the ability to purchase goods in stores such as Apple from one particular employee rather than waiting for the checkout till. But, this will develop further into much greater automated payment capabilities, the type of which have been discussed above.

Though it will perhaps take years for the development to be perfected, it is clear that mobile is where the future of payment, payment processing and payment getaways lies. It's not a question of if, but simply when this will occur. The future of technology is exciting, but this could develop a cashless society much quicker than people think.

Refurbished-phone-mobile-casinos-safe-unsafe

You are thinking about purchasing a refurbished phone so that you can enjoy mobile casinos online. Before you are going out and purchase the cheapest refurbished phone you can find, there are a couple of things you need to know.

It is important to reconsider. There are many reasons why you should not consider buying a refurbished phone, and why you should rather spend a little more money and purchase a phone that will give you value for money. These are just five of the reasons why you should not buy a refurbished phone, ever.

Things can go wrong with the phone

Because a refurbished phone has been used before, things can easily go wrong with the phone. It can happen the same day you bought the phone, or it can happen a week after you purchase it.

Normally a refurbished phone had one or another fault on that was repaired. But, it won't stay repaired for long. Why is the phone refurbished in the first place? This is something to think about.

Warranties aren't good with refurbished phones

With a new phone, you will get a warranty of between 12 to 24 months. However, no matter what you will not get the same amount of warrantee with a refurbished phone. You will be lucky if you are getting a 6-month warranty. Some refurbished phones don't even have a warranty on them. Meaning that you are purchasing it as-is.

This is dangerous to purchase a refurbished phone if it doesn't have a good warranty on it. There might be a reason why the warranty isn't long or why there isn't a warranty in the first place.

You will have fewer worries with a new phone

With a refurbished phone, you will not know when the phone is going to break. Even the battery of the phone won't be as good as a new phone's battery. This means that you will always worry if the phone is going to last through the month or not. Only people that have owned refurbished phones before can tell you that you will always worry about the phone and wait for it to breaks.

The moment that you have a new phone, you will not have any worries at all. You will know that the phone will be in perfect condition and that it will last for years to come. Or until you let the phone fall and the screen breaks.

The phone might be damaged and you didn't know that

Most of the time, a refurbished phone is damaged or was damaged before it was refurbished and repaired. Meaning that even if you can't see it, the phone isn't in top condition. In most cases, a refurbished phone looks new, but it doesn't mean that it is really in the good condition it seems to be in.

The result is that the moment that you are getting the phone, you might realize that there are problems with it. Let you realize that it was just a waste of money. And, then you can't do anything about it. Most refurbished phones aren't replaceable by the business where you have purchased it from.

It will not feel like a new phone to you

You can ask any person that has purchased a refurbished phone before. Even if this is a new phone for you, and there is nothing on the phone that will remind you that the phone is refurbished, it will not feel the same. With a new phone, it feels just different, then purchasing a refurbished phone.

You might always wonder about the previous owner of the phone. Was there something uploaded to the phone that might gather all your personal information. Or, you might be wondering if the phone was stolen or not.

For playing mobile casinos online, you might consider purchasing a refurbished phone. It is cheaper and you can use the money you have left for gambling. However, these 5 reasons shown you that this might not be such a good idea to purchase a refurbished phone. You will not know if the phone is 100% in perfect condition, or if there was a screen replacement before. If someone has damaged the phone, that is repaired in such a way that you can purchase it. You need to remember that there is a good reason why refurbished phones don't have a long warranty. Because these phones can't really be trusted on the long run.

Council Post: Why Catering To Mobile Users Is Vital For Today's ...

During the past few years, the Internet has changed significantly. Many of those changes have to do with the fact that people are now accessing the Internet using other devices. When people are away from the computer, they can browse the Internet on a smartphone or tablet. The number of people browsing the web on a mobile device has climbed progressively higher and this trend is likely to continue.

It is increasingly important for webmasters to ensure that their sites are mobile-friendly. Below, readers will learn more about the importance of mobile-friendliness.

How It Works

First and foremost, it is smart to learn a little more about mobile-friendly sites. What makes them different from the competition? When visiting a website on a smartphone, you have to understand that the screen is going to be significantly smaller. Furthermore, the user will need to tap the screen. They'll use their fingers to control the web browser.

Therefore, the experience will be much different than what you're used to on a computer. If the website is not designed correctly, the mobile user may have difficulty using the website in question.

Aspects Of Mobile-Friendly Sites

What makes a website mobile friendly? If you visit a website on a smartphone, you expect that website to fit the screen. You shouldn't have to slide back and forth to read the content. Instead, the website should shrink to match your device's screen. Simultaneously, it is important to make sure that the website is easy to use with two fingers. The user should be able to effortlessly navigate the website.

A mobile-friendly website will make a big difference for the user since they'll be able to access and use the site easily.

Search Engine Importance

Running the best online casino Singapore has to offer will be difficult. You'll want to rely on search engine optimization to increase your site's traffic. This will ensure that people can learn about your casino website by using Google, Bing, and other search engines. With this in mind, you should understand that search engines place significant importance on mobile-friendliness. If the website is not designed for mobile devices, Google will notice.

And, they may punish the website. This means that you'll have a much harder time getting organic traffic to your website. To solve this problem, you should build a website that is going to work well on all devices. Do so and you'll have a lot more success with Google.

Longer Visits

If you want visitors to stay on your website for a longer time, you need to make sure that it works flawlessly. If it doesn't, they're going to have a lot of problems and they'll go elsewhere. This is why you must make your website work well on a smartphone. If you do, you can rest assured knowing that your users will not experience any problems. They'll be able to use the website easily.

They'll stick around long and take advantage of the content the site offers. If you're selling products or services, this will increase the likelihood that you're going to seal the deal.

Making The Sale

At the end of the day, you want to increase your profits. With a website, you'll be able to do that. However, you must make sure that your website is going to work well for your customers. Many of your customers will access your website using a mobile device such as a tablet or smartphone. Therefore, you need to make sure that your website works great on these devices.

If you don't, your users may not be able to purchase the items you're selling. Fix this problem and your customers won't have any issues buying your products or services. This will ensure that they'll stick around much longer and purchase what you're selling.

Don't Neglect It

At the end of the day, you cannot neglect search engine optimization. However, you'll never succeed with SEO unless your website works well on all devices. You cannot ignore smartphones since more and more consumers are accessing the Internet using their iPhones and Android phones. Therefore, you'll want to put in a lot of effort to make sure that your website is mobile-friendly.

Do so and you can guarantee that your website will work better for you, your customers, and your company!

dead-battery-save-phone

Thanks to the numerous advancements in technology, mobile phones can now do many impressive things, apart from the standard calling and texting they were initially made for. However, one of the biggest issues which the manufacturers have failed to find a way around is battery life for these devices.

Although major brands always try to install longer-lasting batteries on their phones, taking care of them doesn't just stop there. Some activities can be carried out by the users, which tend to drain the battery quite fast. And there is nothing worse than looking down on your phone and realizing that it is running out the juice.

Fortunately, there are a few things that you can do to boost the battery life, hence extending the time the phone remains on. Before you start becoming desperate searching for a charger, here are five tips that will ensure that your phone battery lasts longer:

Mind your apps

Certain apps are notorious for being battery guzzlers, especially those that are heavy on graphics. Whenever you notice your battery is acting up, you should go to your smartphone's settings and identify the battery usage for each app.

The phone will always show you how an app is using up the juice, so if one of them tends to use too much of it, there are three options available. If uninstalling the app altogether isn't part of the options that you have, then you can try to stop it from being used in the background, or you can force it to stop.

Lose the location services

mobile-monster

It is always easy to sell & trade in your phone online if you feel like the battery starts to act up. However, if you intend to keep it, you may have to consider losing the location services as they eat up a lot of your juice.

The use of the location or GPS feature on your phone is super helpful in finding out where you are and finding out your next step if you're lost. However, it is a heavy battery drainer, so you have to have them turned off whenever you don't need the service.

Reduce push notifications

Getting an instant notification from apps and your favorite websites ensures that you stay connected at all times. Who wouldn't want to be notified if their post on Facebook received a comment or like?

However, granting apps and sites the permission to send to you push notifications is a sneaky way to drain your battery; hence, you should restrict this from happening, and whenever you're expecting certain notifications, you should visit the website or app directly.

Avoid extremes of heat and cold

At some point, your phone might get too hot due to excessive usage or too cold when exposed to certain temperatures. The best thing to do is to try and regulate the temperature of the phone, lest the battery becomes damaged.

If it is too cold, you should consider taking it to a warmer place, and if it becomes too hot, you should remove it from direct sunlight or stop using it for a moment.

Turn the Wi-Fi connection off

Whenever your Wi-Fi is turned on, it'll always be on the lookout for new hotspots, and as you would imagine, this tends to eat up the battery. Only turn on the Wi-Fi on when you need it.

Conclusion

Having a poor battery can make your phone quite unreliable. Luckily, you can always sell & trade-in your phone online for a better device.

Old-galaxy-note 8

Technology has never been as disposable as it is right now. When your laptop is old, you throw it away and buy a new one. When a new version of the iPad (or your preferred brand of tablet) is released, you stop using the old one even if there's nothing mechanically wrong with it. Above and beyond all of this, you probably replace your mobile phone every one to two years as your existing contract comes to an end. You copy all the data, photographs, and apps across from your old phone to your new one, and then your old phone goes in a drawer, never to be used again.

Whenever you go through the upgrade process, you'll find that your network tries to push one of the latest high-functioning brand-new handsets on you. Even if they weren't doing that, you'd probably be drawn to those phones anyway. Because new phones are released every year, you're left with the impression that the technology that's inside them improves every year, too, and that your best option is to get a newer phone in order to stay ahead of the curve. Is that always the case, though? It's the most expensive choice to make, but is it the right one? Could you save money by getting an older refurbished phone and never notice the difference?

There are a few things to consider if you're looking at replacing your current phone with a refurbished model, and they boil down to what we call ‘phone essentials.' We'll tackle them one at a time.

How Good Is The Phone's Camera?

Despite what everyone believes, the processors inside mobile phones don't usually get better with every passing year. The Snapdragon processor inside the best phones right now is the same as the Snapdragon processor that was inside last year's phones. The cameras, however, do get better. Very few people have digital cameras anymore, and so we rely on our phones as a replacement for them. Right now, the Pixel 4 and the iPhone 11 Pro are thought to have the best phone cameras on the market, but the latest Huawei isn't far behind them. If you can get a refurbished or second-hand model of any of those phones, you'll likely have nothing to worry about in terms of picture quality for the next two years. Your quality guide for this is the megapixel count. If photos are vitally important to you, you might prefer to get a newer phone.

How Good Is It At Playing Games?

This all comes back to what we said earlier about processors. The games that phones are required to play now are very different from the games that phones played twenty years ago when 'Snake' was popular. Nowadays, people expect their handsets to cope with the latest mobile version of 'Fornite.' There's good news here, though. The first thing to remember is that recently, video games have been taking cues from online slots websites. You don't need to own a casino to play an online slots UK, and you no longer need to own a console to play a video game. Services like Google Stadia mean that games can be played via streaming from servers elsewhere - the exact same way that online slots websites serve their customers - and so there's no strain on your hardware. The second thing to remember is that processors don't improve all that much from year to year. So long as your refurbished phone is well-maintained, there's no reason that a two-year-old phone can't run games just as well as a brand new one can.

What's The Battery Life Like?

This is the real killer when it comes to picking up a second-hand or refurbished model. Even with the best will in the world and a very careful owner, the life cycle of a phone's battery will depreciate over time. Apple has even cited this as the reason they deliberately slow their older phone models down over time. There's nothing that can be done to avoid this - it's a process of simple wear and tear that will happen to every phone. It's possible in some cases to acquire a new or refurbished battery at the same time you acquire your refurbished phone, but from a practical point of view, this often pushes the cost up so high that you might as well just bite the bullet and get a new phone. It's not all bad news, though. The competitiveness of your second-hand phone's battery life will depend on how good the phone was when it was brand new. A two-year-old 'flagship' phone from a major provider like Samsung might have a better battery life than a brand new budget phone from a lesser-known provider because it uses superior parts.

How Much Storage Does It Come With?

Here's another factor that can kill the effectiveness of older phones. While the size of the average mobile phone isn't getting all that much bigger (unless you choose to buy a phone with an enormous screen), the amount of storage inside them is. Thirty-two gigabytes used to be considered a massive amount of space. Now it's considered insufficient, and 128GB is about the industry average. That will probably double a year from now, and double again the year after. Modern apps take up so much space that you can find yourself running short surprisingly quickly, and if you allow apps like WhatsApp to store all picture and video content directly to your phone, you'll find the space disappearing even faster. This doesn't have to be a barrier to buying an older phone if you apply a little creative thinking to the problem, though. We live in the age of cloud storage. So long as you're comfortable with the idea of your phone constantly backing everything up to the cloud (use a solid password, and you should be fine), there's no reason to store anything on your phone at all. An uncluttered old phone will run faster than a cluttered new one, and you'll get much more life out of it.

If budget is no issue, then it's better to buy a new phone than an old one in almost all cases. If you're inclined to save a little cash, though, and you don't mind sacrificing a little space or speed, last year's flagship phones are still capable of delivering high performance. Don't feel trapped by a sneaky salesperson - consider all of your options carefully before making a decision.

As the expansion and development of technology continues, mobile phones are now capable of doing anything and everything. Once just a contact outlet, smartphones have developed into a small computer, enabling gaming at the touch of a button.

Whether that be shooter games like COD or gambling platforms like Fansbet Casino, the smartphone can do it all at the touch of your fingertips.

Of course, not every mobile phone can do this, so, just which handset should you look out for gaming on the go?

Apple iPhone XR

It's remarkable that Apple has just one phone on this list, but the iPhone XR is the only iOS platform worthy of a spot. A super-powerful processor and powerful graphics performance really do bring gaming to life, and a 6.1-inch LCD screen enhances this experience.

Of course, the iOS games library differs somewhat to the Android store, so you can pick up games with the XR that would otherwise be unavailable. And, at £519 it is not the most expensive gaming smartphone out there.

Asus ROG Phone

Asus do about everything just right with their ROG Phone for it to be considered a gaming smartphone. A large memory and a powerful and quick processor enables smooth gaming, and, a customised incase cooling regulation, ensures this smooth gaming lasts for hours.

A 6-inch screen and high refresh rate enhances the immersion whilst the AirTrigger sensors that come with it are sensitive enough to categorically improve in-game action control. At £539.99 it may empty your wallet or purse, but it would be worth it.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro brings gaming to life with a fast processor and large storage as its enormous battery enables a day's worth of gaming. How well a mobile runs is often the first point of call for a gamer, but the Mate's smooth running ensures no complaints whatsoever.

Because the Mate is not actually listed as a gaming phone, it still does the job as a normal smartphone incredibly well. Mobile photography, for example, is of a very high standard. Priced at under £400, the Mate is also the cheapest phone on this list.

OnePlus 7 Pro

A gaming phone in all but name, the OnePlus 7 Pro is a gaming extravaganza. Curved etches and no notch give the Pro a superb feel, whilst the addition of Dolby Atmos-compatible stereo speakers provide the user with brilliant audio and an even better performance.

The Pro possesses a picture quality to die for as the upgraded Gaming Mode comes into its own, but a high refresh rate completes the Pro, ensuring the phone is compatible with the most intense games. And, you can fully immerse yourself in the Pro with the ability to block notifications and calls whilst playing.

Priced at over £500, however, the Pro is not exactly cheap.

Razer Phone 2

A normal smartphone turned into an incredible piece of gaming equipment, the Razer Phone 2 stands out immediately for the gamer.

The Razer 2 is able to support any game or casino slot on the Android market due to its increased power from the original Razer, and, with a brighter screen, louder speakers and an enhanced cooling apparatus, the 2 really does improve the gaming experience.

It also operates as an impressive phone, with a dual-lens high-resolution camera and improved water resistance providing the basic necessities. Its price, however, is far from basic as the Razer 2 will set you back nearly £780, making it a heavy investment.

huawei-ban-returns

At one point, it looked like 2020 would be a bad year for Huawei everywhere outside of the company's home country of China. The tech firm has endured eighteen months of consistently terrible press in the United States of America and Europe, and although it has consistently and angrily denied that it uses its equipment to spy on western nations, the accusations have stung its performance when it comes to sales. After Donald Trump's administration took the unprecedented step of putting the company on the 'Entity List' - effectively a blacklist - there appeared to be no way for Huawei to stay active in western markets. Huawei might now have found a way to avoid that becoming the case.

The main difficulty faced by Huawei under the terms of the blacklisting - or so it appeared - is that it wouldn't have access to Google apps. The entire Google Play store would be off-limits to the manufacturer, which would leave users unable to install or use many of the apps that smartphone users now take for granted. This would include hugely popular communication tools like WhatsApp, and also the apps used by social media networks like Twitter and Facebook. Even accessing social media sites using a web browser would have been difficult, as the majority of web browsers also come in the form of apps that can only be downloaded through the relevant store.

Mobile gamers would also have been affected by the ban. Games like PUBG and Fortnite, as well as the Call of Duty franchise, have had their apps downloaded millions of times through Google Play. Playing games through new Huawei phones would have been almost impossible. Non-app based games, such as online slots or casino games, wouldn't have been affected in theory. Users would still have needed a web browser to gain access to online slots websites, though, and so even they may have remained off-limits. In practice, it would have been hard for users to play paypal slots, play any other games, or perform any activities beyond basic calling and texting. It would have been impossible to justify spending full price on a phone handset that didn't have these features - but now, all of these features may be back on the menu.

According to reports that have appeared in the press this week, Huawei is looking to exploit a loophole in the blacklist ruling. They may not be able to gain access to Google's Play Store, but they might instead be able to place apps in their own 'App Gallery' - and it's thought that Google might grant them permission to place Google apps inside App Gallery and allow users to gain access to them anyway. Google is understood to be keen to continue co-operating with Huawei, and so if the loophole exists, then they're unlikely to take any steps to prevent Huawei from making use of it. The most recently released Huawei smartphones have arrived without core Google apps like Maps or Gmail pre-installed, but affected users may soon be able to download the apps through App Gallery and continue as if the problem didn't exist.

Within Huawei, this is seen as a preferable alternative to attempting to proceed with their own operating system. Huawei can't currently make use of the latest versions of Android, and spent money in 2019 developing an alternative OS called 'Harmony.' The new OS is yet to appear on any Huawei-built smartphone, with the manufacturer instead deciding to continue using the most recent version of Android that it still has access to. This may yet cause issues in the future when Android eventually stop providing support for outdated versions of the software in favor of upgrading more recent builds and producing future variants. The 'open source' version of Android that they have access to is in itself contentious, and if US lawmakers have their way, they may yet lose access to it in the future.

huawei-p40-image

If Google agrees, it wouldn't be the first time they've granted permission for their apps to be used in places where users wouldn't necessarily expect to see them. As Apple users are aware, almost all of Google's apps can currently be downloaded through Apple's app store even though Apple and Google are, metaphorically speaking, at war with each other in the smartphone market. It appears that Google's priority is to make their software available to as many users as possible as opposed to restricting access to only those devices that run approved versions of Android. If they agree to this request, then there would theoretically be little difference between a Huawei phone and, for example, a phone made by Samsung when it comes to app availability, and the impact of the ban would be almost totally nullified.

This isn't the only way that Huawei appears to be getting around at least some aspects of the ban. The terms of the blacklisting specifically prohibit firms from the United States of America from doing any business with Huawei whatsoever, and yet their P40 phone has been found to contain parts built by several different American manufacturers. The P40 was released long after the terms of the ban came into effect, and so it's not yet known whether any of the companies who have seemingly provided parts or technology to Huawei are in breach of prohibition. Theoretically, there should be no US-built components in any Huawei phones, but their presence suggests that the company has found a way to incorporate them anyway. One possible explanation is that the parts were initially sold overseas to a company that isn't covered by the ban. The overseas company would then be free to sell the parts on to Huawei without being encumbered by US law.

Although Huawei reported a loss of around ten billion US dollars last year in the wake of being blacklisted, it's clear that the company has no intention of giving up its presence in American or European markets. Given that it will be involved in the rollout of the 5G network in the United Kingdom, it may even gain more ground in the twelve months to come. Huawei was definitely knocked down by the ban, but they weren't knocked out, and in coming back, it's conceivable that they may ultimately become even stronger than they were before.

Mobile-site-optimization

Blogging has become one of the most popular professions in the online world, especially for younger generations. It allows you to earn money while working with flexible hours and at the comfort of your home. To make things even better, formal education is not strictly required, but rather considered as a plus.

The two skills that are required for this profession are creativity and good grammar. If you can put your creative ideas into nicely-worded sentences, then blogging is something that you should consider doing. Of course, it may be a bit difficult in the beginning, but as time progresses, you'll only get better.

There are many things to consider and learn in this, so make sure you do your research well. Since we are here to help you out, we have a special guide for blogging for beginners. The guide is extremely useful and can be very handy for you, especially while you are laying the foundation of your new profession.

Most of the blogs today are accessed via a mobile device. Some research has shown that more than 60% of the traffic on websites is done with mobile. That means that if you have a blog site, it's important to optimize it for mobile use. That is exactly why we decided to give you 5 tips for optimizing your blog for mobile. They are helpful and will help increase your traffic.

Control the Number of Ads

Unlike laptops and PCs where the screen is enormous and you can fit everything, mobiles don't have that privilege. As you may know, one of the best ways to earn money via a website is by placing ads. With mobile phones, you need to control the number of ads to make sure that the user experience is not affected by them. Furthermore, some ads may contain malware, so you might want to research that before deciding to place them on your blog site.

Responsiveness

Making your site responsive means that you need to utilize it based on the device that the client is accessing. Having separate sites for desktop and mobile use is essential these days, with a big accent on mobile sites. Research has shown that by 2025, more than 70% of the traffic will be made by mobile devices, which means that this comes as a no-brainer.

Number of Pages

Scrolling through numerous pages can be extremely problematic for some users. The constant new page load is likely to make them displeased and cancel their activity on your site. The best thing for you to do is to make your blogs on one page. While you are at it, the paragraphs and the sentences shouldn't be too long. So, keep the paragraphs short and optimize your blogs to be on one page.

Keep File Sizes Small

Page load time matters. The faster your page loads, the better the user experience will be. Most bloggers utilize the use of photos and Instagram posts to make their blogs artsier. If you are open to the idea of inserting photos, make sure that the files are not too big. The bigger they are; the more time it will take for them to load.

The phone models from the users can have a big effect on this. While some have the privilege of having revolutionary phones, some don't. If your site has too many details, it will be harder for them to enjoy your texts.

Keep up With the Updates

Every theme has constant updates. While picking the perfect theme for your site, check if it's mobile-friendly. Whenever an update comes, you will be notified. Updating your site is useful since the updates contain the latest tools for optimization and have better visuals.

Business-personal-mobile

Whether you are a business owner or a higher up, carrying around two phones can be tedious. With the added stress of ensuring it is charged, this can oftentimes be more stress than it is worth. However, by eliminating the need for a job and personal phone, you can begin to manage workload and ensure a phone call is never missed again.

Ensures Open Line Of Communication

One of the biggest benefits that come from a BYOD (bring your device) services is that it keeps an open line of communication when you are out of the office. It allows you to answer all your work phone calls without having to carry around a separate phone. This not only saves time, but this is also a business expense that can be spared by using your device instead of purchasing business phones for you.

Allows For Work To Be Completed Outside The Office

In addition to ensuring open lines of communication, there is the opportunity to complete work outside of the office. Whether this is conference calls or meetings with other members of the team, work can be completed remotely. This is ideal for those that are constantly travelling for business as work can be completed with the phone and a laptop. Though this will require a strong phone signal, this is a simple yet effective way of keeping your business connected through a central network, regardless of where you are travelling to.

Ensures Emails Are Connected

In addition to phone calls, having all your emails on one place can help you to complete work efficiently over the course of the day. Whether you are travelling to meetings or you are away on business, a BYOD contract allows you to use your phone as a central hub to the office. This is ideal particularly for smaller businesses as this will keep everyone connected even when travelling on business. This allows those that are out on jobs to still be contactable when they are out of the office. This will not only improve efficiency, but it has the potential to boost revenue month on month.

Allows Them To Set Realistic Deadlines

The final benefit to a contract such as this is the realistic deadlines. By having phone calls and emails all on one device, you can focus on the task at hand without having to switch device. This not only makes travelling easier, but it allows you to monitor deadlines with the rest of the team. When having calls directed to your mobile, you can help the team progress without having to juggle two phones. This, therefore, means that there is never the risk of a missed call regardless of where you are.

With this in mind, using a contract such as this can help to increase efficiency over time. Whether you are a new business looking to connect all employees through a central hub or you are a business looking to remove the added expense of business phones, this style of contract can benefit you in the long term.

Buying phones online is easy with just simple clicks and everything is over and done with. Refurbished phones are commonly found online and a lot of people always purchase them. Screen your calls with Do Not Disturb mode

You can turn it on or off, as required, in order to determine which email messages actually give you notifications.

The Smartphone has never been more popular. In the modern age, our phones have become an extension of self, we use them constantly to update, navigate and traverse the modern landscape. Rgb-smartphone

Just like every other year, flagship smartphones are going to start arriving from this month onwards, armed with the latest in camera optics, display technology and of course, faster SoCs. If you are planning to buy one of the many upcoming, awesome smartphones this year, then you will be spoilt for choice in 2020, even if you don't have a $1,000+ budget!

However, there will be a few gimmicks to watch out for. Some of these will be presented as "innovation," while others may be called "evolution!" Whatever the respective manufacturer's marketing team decides to call it, here are three of the most likely gimmicks that you need to watch out for.

Gaming Smartphones are Irrelevant

Gaming-smartphones-accessories

Well, the term "gaming" is misused for selling even smartphones these days, and yes, they have been misused.

To understand why the term gaming smartphone shouldn't matter to casual and serious mobile gamers alike, go through the following points.

Unlike laptops and desktops, smartphones cannot be customized yet

All flagship smartphones with the same flagship SoC will perform similarly in-game

A bit of difference in benchmark results are irrelevant in real world gaming, even if it exists due to temporary overclocking

Flashy RGB lights on a smartphone may make it unsuitable for carrying it everywhere, which is a serious problem!

Those RGB lights will make your battery run out a lot faster and the phone will become even hotter while gaming with those on

OEMs will often put terrible - decent cameras on the gaming phones citing the optics as secondary needs!

Mid-tier smartphones with mid-tier chips will be priced higher than they should be, just by using the gaming tag

The Megapixel War Will Restart!

108-megapixel-smartphone-camera

A few years ago, the megapixel war stopped temporarily, but from 2019 onwards, it has started to pick up again! Take any smartphone with a 48mp sensor and compare it with the 12mp sensors on flagship models such as the Google Pixel 3, iPhone 11 or Samsung Note 10 to know why it's just a gimmick! This year, the megapixel war will likely take the count to 64mp - 108mp, so please wait for online reviews before jumping on the megapixel bandwagon again.

Curved Displays Look Nice But...

Curved-oppo-display

Do curved displays look nice? Most certainly they do and if that appeals to you, then go for it by all means! However, be aware that they can be an absolute pain to handle as the palm rejection almost never works! A high quality, OLED display with a flat panel is going to be better for gaming, regular use and media consumption.

A smartphone should be chosen on the basis of your needs and not marketing, but it's so hard to look past all that! Hopefully, this small list will help you to make the most of your hard earned money.

Mobile-technology

Mobiles have become one of the most useful and widely used forms of technology in the present age. People use it for all kinds of purposes other than just for calling each other. Mobiles are used to access and send emails, use social media, install all sorts of apps, play games, take pictures, and record videos. There is a wide range of types of mobile devices, including PDAs, iPods, cellular phones, Bluetooth devices, and wireless data networks. Mobiles connect to the internet and provide the users with access to it using WAP. The range of bandwidth on the 3G technology is high that is why users can efficiently get the information.

Mobiles have assumed the role that was traditionally associated with computers as we can not only communicate, but also read online books, newspapers, and watch the television. The Metalanguage, which serves the purpose of communicating the data and which is used to develop the applications, is XML language. Mobile technology assists a student in academic works in a variety of ways.

The Functionality of Mobiles for Students

Students find the integration of mobile technology into the educational system beneficial and useful. Since mobiles are pocket-size and handy, they can be taken anywhere and provide more convenience of use than the laptops. Mobile devices allow for the downloading and reading of e-books. Some students use their mobiles as USB devices. They save their assignments and documents and download or print them whenever they need.

Mobile technology is more reliable for carrying the soft-copies of documents. Their tendency to malfunction like USBs because of viruses is very less. The materials can easily be accessed in the destination folders any time they are needed. Likewise, they can share the files with their friends and group-mates using the free Bluetooth feature.

../Downloads/images%20(2).jpeg

Mobile phones are increasingly being improved with the integration of technologies that are helpful for the students. Universities commonly establish online portals and provide the students with their accounts so that they can download the course content, upload their assignments, and access the online university library. Students can get paper help without actually visiting the university library because all of the required research papers can easily be downloaded from the online portal. These portals are beneficial for promoting efficient communication across the student groups and between the teachers and students. Teachers take attendance of students using the online portals, and students can also see their performance assessment forms online using their mobiles.

Mobile Technology Keeps Data Secure

Mobile phones are particularly useful for carrying and securing sensitive information. Students also use mobile phones to make online transactions. They have installed the apps of their banks in the mobiles and can safely access their online bank accounts from the convenience of their classrooms or their flats.

Mobile technologies that the university students can use include SMS, Global System for Mobile communication known as GSM, 3G technologies, XML, and Wireless Application Protocol (WAP). Everything ranging from the mobiles to the apps containing sensitive, private, and personal information is password-protected. If a student repeatedly enters the wrong password, the app denies access to online banking after four to five unsuccessful attempts, and the user has to contact the bank to grant access to the app.

Handy Solutions Offered by Mobile Technology

Mobile phones are integrated into the modern lifestyle in a way that they surpass even the laptops in their usability. Students who are going on a bus and want to revise the course content in one last before appearing for the exam can easily browse it on their mobile phones. There are charging backup devices to ensure that they don't run out of battery when they need mobile phones the most. There are distinct software programs in mobile phones that allow for video making, editing, and streaming. Many students make presentations using the apps on their mobile phones.

Owing to the huge usefulness of a mobile phone for a student, educational institutions should make the necessary changes in their systems to allow for increased integration of mobile phones. One way this can be achieved is by recording all lectures. Many universities already engage in this practice. Recording the lectures makes it possible for the management to upload them on the online university portals. Students find it convenient to play the videos from there. Not only the videos are helpful if a student missed a lecture, but they are also useful for the students who did attend the class but couldn't grasp a concept. Mobile technology plays a vital role in the future of education.

sellcell-sell-old-phone

It doesn’t even matter how much you like your phone, who made it or how much you had to shell out once to buy it, all smartphones get outdated sooner or later. Sure, you can stretch out  its lifetime by buying a flagship device, because they do come with a bit of future proofing, but even that’s not going to do much but delay the inevitable.

That’s okay though, because such is the nature of technology itself, and not just smartphones. Older, slower, less functional devices are constantly being outdated by their successors, which in the grand scheme of things, defines progress and technological evolution. Unfortunately enough, the pace at which smartphone technology is evolving, it can put a significant load on our wallets!

Creation of a New Industry: Take Advantage of the Competition

The best way to soften the blow of updating to a new phone would be to either sell it, or have it exchanged for a discount while buying a new phone. Manufacturers, second hand vendors and retailers know that too, which is why they have exchange or selling options for smartphones going throughout the year. This has in turn, created another business, and where there is business, there is competition to take advantage of for consumers!

Not Every Site Offers the Same Deal

Have you noticed how different sites sell the same smartphones at different prices? The same applies here too, but even more so than buying. The thing is that unlike first hand retail units, second hand smartphones don’t have any OEM set restrictions on how low or how high one can charge/offer for them. This opens up the competition even more, and the exchange or selling prices of old phones will vary widely as a result of that.

What’s Your Best Option?

Ideally, there should be a platform online , where people would be able to go and compare the price they could be getting for their devices from various buyers. Fortunately, that’s exactly what SellCell provides to consumers! They provide a singular, online platform for buyers to compare the deals they can get from the top sellers across United States, so you won’t have to check a dozen sites and keep constant tabs on them separately. It just streamlines the entire old phone selling or exchanging process immensely.

In case you have held out from buying a new device because you like your old phone too much and can’t get a good deal on it, now you know how to get the best possible deal, without the unnecessary time wasting. On a general note, do not hold onto any Android or iOS device that the OEM has stopped servicing (2 to 3 years at best) with monthly, or at least quarterly updates. Our smartphones carry so much sensitive data in them and without the security patches, they would succumb to malware and hacking attacks without you even realizing it.

superfast-smartphone

Virtually everyone owns a smartphone and uses it daily. In fact, it has been shown that within the first 15 minutes of waking up in the morning to just before falling asleep at night people habitually check their phones. From email to photos, calls to SMS messages, apps to games, there are an inexhaustive number of activities that mobile phones offer. As a result, phones get cluttered. What once worked with impressive speed when purchased half a year ago, now starts to slow. This can be a major annoyance as well as hindering the performance of your device. Fortunately, most big brand smartphones like Apple or Samsung allow users to run a diagnostic check to identify what applications or folders are taking up the most space and causing the phone to slow. Even worse that a slow speed is when the smartphone freezes and can even crash. There is nothing worse than needing to make a call or compose a message and not being able to because of the inefficiency of your phone. While instructions vary per mobile device, running a diagnostic usually requires accessing settings then device care. From here, there is a layout of how much storage and memory is available and also which apps are in disuse (also called ‘Sleeping apps'). Most phones then allow the Optimize to free up space. By doing this, the phone not only runs faster and more efficient but also increases the battery life to keep the device running longer after charges.

Probably the biggest culprit of gobbling space is photos, and especially videos. Having a portable camera is extremely convenient and so many users are guilty of taking multiple selfies to scroll through. In the digital era, most of these photos remain on the phone and never get deleted or transferred to computer or hard drive. It is useful to backup photos on an account, like cloud, on a laptop or external hard drive as this frees up substantial space on the storage as well as protects your photos in case your phone is lost or damaged. An external SD card that can be placed into most phones is also very handy as this can add many more Gigabytes of space and, if ever the card fills up through the years, it can be simply removed and replaced with a fresh one or transferred to a laptop. Again, an external SD card also saves your photos or video if the phone crashes or breaks. Even when users do a sweep of their phone, deleting any goofy photos and blurry images or lengthy space eating videos, the deleted items can be sent to the ‘trash folder'. Most times anything in the trash gets automatically deleted after around 15 days, but sometimes this setting is not enabled and photos or documents remain there forever - unknown to the user who thought they have cleared out their phone. Therefore, double check and erase all documents in the trash to not waste space. Deleting any stored cache or browsing history can also free up space, especially when it has been collected over a long period of time. Once all the photos, videos, and documents have been secured via transfer to another device or platform like Google Photos or iCloud, then some users may opt for a hard reset of their phone. This returns the smartphone to its factory settings, that is how the phone appeared brand new.

Another area that takes up a lot of phone storage are certain elaborate apps and games. Furthermore, these apps can also continually update and add more features and visual settings that consume additional space over time. For many people it is not only the size of the app or game that can cause their phone to slow, but the quantity that they have downloaded - and most often rarely use. The fact that a majority of apps or games are free to download gives into the temptation to create a database, with even the smaller size apps adding up to take up considerable size. One way to prevent this is to analyze and rank which apps that you use most every day to a few times a week and those that are inessential, and you rarely use. Delete or uninstall these unused apps. Smartphones are also great at providing a visual breakdown of how much space each app or game users and further the last time you have opened that particular app. If the last time is over a month ago and it takes up around 1GB of space, it is best to junk it. Another technique, particular for gaming on smartphone, is to play online games more than those that require downloading. As most places offer wifi, this option is feasible since downloaded multi-level games can be notorious for slowing phone speed and performance. For instance, online casino sites have particularly proven themselves experts at focusing on mobile gameplay for slot games - accessible via internet. Mobile slots have simple and straightforward controls, with a grid of 5 reels, about 3 or 4 rows, a number of paylines, and features and bonus rounds that can award thrilling payouts of real money. Further, as these mobile slots are online, they do not eat up any space on the smartphone as an actual device. A few great mobile slots are Eyecon's classic ‘Fluffy Favourites', Yggdrasil's visually stunning ‘Ahoha!' for a trip to Hawaii, and Playtech's cheerful ‘Irish Luck' online, as well as many more with different themes and rewards on offer.

As with photos and videos occupying lots of space on a phone, music is another area that can bite a chunk of space from the device. While it is a convenience downloading songs on the smartphone, when a user has a collection of thousands that is when the problems can start. Investing in an ipod is useful to designate songs to a device and save space on the phone. Otherwise, consider installing and subscribing to a music listen app such as Spotify that is designed to download songs offline with as little space as possible.

These tips and tricks should free up most space on any smartphone and increase the device speed and performance. Of course, conserving mobile space also requires mindfulness. Pay closer attention to the apps and games that you value and are essential and those that you can do without. Also, sift through and narrow down the countless selfies and transfer those long videos of a squirrel in the park. Then you can rest assured that you will be able to capture something important when it does happen rather than miss an opportunity because of a weighted down phone.

repair-your-phone

Whenever a new cell phone model comes out, people are always amazed by its new features and design. They would immediately check out the price and do their best to come up with the money for it. Sometimes, cellular companies offer installment plans that entice more customers to buy these new cell phone models. Whenever you find yourself doing that, pause for a bit and truly consider if you need a new unit.

The phone you're holding in your hand right now can still function the same way as when you bought it. Cell phone repair today uses advanced technology that it can repair almost all types of damages done to a mobile phone. If you're still not convinced about retaining your old phone, here are some more very convincing reasons why you should:

Save Money

Cell phone manufacturers release several models a year. If you really look hard at its features, you won't find any significant changes from the previous models. Some only have improved camera settings, but do you really need that right now? You could wait another year or two so the camera is even better. By having your current cell phone repaired, you will save hundreds of dollars because phone repairs don't cost anywhere near a new phone.

New cell phone models that are high-end cost around $700 to $999 USD. If you bought a cell phone only the previous year, it's not really practical to spend this much money on a new one unless you're a celebrity or a businessman who is making so much money. However, for regular people with regular jobs, this amount is simply unrealistic and a waste of good finances. Wanting to have bragging rights because you bought the newest phone model will let you end up deep in debt later in life because this will never stop on just cell phones alone. You will eventually end up buying more expensive stuff just so you can brag about it.

Save Time

When you have a damaged phone and you send it to the manufacturer, it could take months until they approve a replacement or repair. You should know, though, that not all are approved for either replacement or repair. There are many cases wherein the manufacturer denies claims for repair. Aside from this bad news, you will have wasted a lot of your time communicating with them back, and forth and end up with a damaged phone still. It could sometimes take a few months until things are resolved, and if it isn't, you would have wasted months for nothing.

When you choose to have your unit repaired at a cell phone repair shop, you will most likely have your phone back after a couple of days. In some cases, it only takes a few hours or even minutes. You can wait in the repair shop while they replace a broken glass or replace a damaged screen. Phone repair companies work fast because they want to give great customer service. However, you need to be careful when you choose a cell phone repair company because there are companies that are not trustworthy. Be sure to read customer reviews online on their social media pages to learn if you're dealing with a reputable company. Talk to their customers and ask questions, such as how much the service usually costs and how long it takes.

repairing-smartphones

Reputable phone repair companies will give you a warranty for the services they have provided you with. They allow a specific amount of time for you to use your phone and, if the same issue occurs, you can take your phone back to them and they will repair it again without additional charges. Most manufacturers only give a one year warranty for a new mobile phone. After a year, you will have to pay the full amount if you want them to repair your phone, and these manufacturers usually charge more for repairs than other cell phone repair shops. Some do not even provide warranty for repairs.

Environmentally-Friendly

When you discard an old phone, it will only add to all the trash in landfills and at the rate that people are changing their gadgets, it will only be a matter of time when there will no longer be space for it. Help the environment by not buying a new phone each year and having your old one repaired instead.

Conclusion

People are becoming more aware of the fact that new cell phone models are really not as innovative as manufacturers would want them to believe. These manufacturers are spending so much money marketing these "new features," but when you look closely, your old phone already has this feature, or this new feature is not that useful in your daily life anyway. So, have your phone repaired. That way, you'll save a ton of money.

smartphone-car-tracking

It is incredible to see how technology and innovation have changed our lives. Today, vehicles and the technology surrounding them have drastically changed. Today, a person can easily track the location of their vehicle from their mobile device with ease. What's more amazing is that it does not matter where the car or the smartphone is located.

This technology uses GPS capability and the internet to complete its operations. Fleet companies have heavily accepted this technology and even those that use the most basic fleet management solutions use a GPS tracker. Let us go through how you can track a car using a mobile phone.

Research More to Understand What GPS Tracking is

Global positioning systems (GPS) have now become popular in the auto industry, but they are also used in other fields like animal farming, wildlife management, and cargo shipping. The technology uses devices that transmit location data in real-time to satellites and then to a remote location. Various hardware and software are used to achieve the procedures.

Fleet companies usually work together with reputable solution providers to get the best GPS tracking services. If you have a private car that operates away from you like dropping and picking up kids at school and running other errands, you can also adopt the technology to monitor it from your mobile phone.

Choosing the Right Hardware and Software

This is the most crucial point. After some research and a conclusion that you need to track your car with GPS on your smartphone, then you have to choose the solution to use. On the Eyeride website you will get the best solution for your needs. Choose the latest technology to enjoy all of the current features. So, make sure that it has capabilities like:

·         Real-time monitoring of the location

·         Stable transmission of data

·         Compatibility with both Android and iOS smartphones

·         Ability to upgrade the software

·         24/7 professional support

Installation of the GPS Device and Software

Now that you have the ideal hardware, it is time to have it installed. In most cases, the suppliers will always do the installation since they understand the technology. The first step is to have the device installed in your car and connected to the battery. It must be powered even when the car is switched on as long as the battery is working.

The second step is to download the compatible software on your devices and registering your details. Either a third party company or the original supplier will be the manager and support provider. When it is all set up, you can see the location of your car as well as performing many other functions.

Interacting with the Tracking App

Before you release the solution provider, it is important to go through the entire app and understand every bit of it. Taking full advantage of the app will give you the full benefits of the GPS tracking solution.

Whether you are tracking one or many fleet vehicles, this procedure remains the same. However, not all GPS tracking solutions may accept multiple vehicle management. So, this is a consideration that you need to make.

smartphone-benefits-for-seniors

Who do you envisage when you hear the phrase "smartphone generation?" Chances are, you are picturing Generation Z-ers in their late teens and early 20s, Snapchatting and FaceTiming their way through life, in between posting endless selfies and keeping their virtual followers appraised of their every meal or workout.

It's a reasonable enough contention, as this is the generation that has grown up in the mobile-first social media-driven world. However, the smartphone generation is actually a far broader demographic. In the USA, smartphone penetration stands at more than 85 percent of the adult population, so there is far more to the market than Gen Z and the Millennials. In fact, researchers have found that around one in three over 65s in the USA use a smartphone, while in Europe the figure is even higher.

Put simply, the benefits of smartphone ownership and use are the same for seniors as they are for anyone else. However, app developers have been quick to react to this growing demographic of smartphone users and develop their products and services accordingly. Here are a few examples.

Staying in touch

Communication is, of course, the core purpose of any phone. But for the elderly, the ability to chat with friends and family anywhere on the planet at zero cost can truly be a lifeline. Despite this being known as the communication age, one in three seniors suffers from loneliness, and the health impact can be devastating. A quick call or exchange of messages on a platform like Skype can make all the difference.

Everyone likes playing games

Gamers come in all ages, from two to 102. It's just the games that vary, and there are a growing number that are aimed at older players. Casino games like online roulette or the Unibet poker app are enormously popular with older generations, particularly those who might have enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas or Atlantic City in years gone by, but are now less mobile. There are also numerous gaming apps out there that have no connection with gambling. Time-honored brain teasers such as word searches and Sudoku puzzles have been given a new lease of life in the digital age and there are dozens of apps to choose from. Luminosity is a handy app that contains hundreds of games specifically aimed at keeping the mind sharp.

Taking care of physical health

Apps aren't just about mental wellbeing and happiness. There are some that can have a direct impact on physical health, too. The WebMD app is a fantastic resource for everything from looking up symptoms to providing goals and guidance for healthy eating and exercise. Meanwhile Pillboxie provides reassurance to both seniors and their loved ones by providing an organizer and issuing reminders to manage routine medication. There are even apps that monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure, providing an early warning that it might be time to get checked out by the doctor, or perhaps just to sit down for 10 minutes.

A lot of the language learning apps also come with a custom-tailored experience and will notify you when is the time to go back and revisit some of the older lessons to make sure that you've memorized them. All in all, they're a fantastic time to pass the time and do something productive.

smartphone-in-car

Smartphones have long become an indispensable device, especially for motorists. A modern device like Samsung Galaxy Note 7 can completely replace a standard navigation and even multimedia system in a car, while still providing communication with the outside world. Unfortunately, not every car has a special place to accommodate a smartphone, so its integration will require special accessories, for example, a car holder for a phone. Here you can compare the basic models, https://www.bestadvisor.com/car-phone-holder, and in the meantime we will tell you about additional possibilities for the integration of a smartphone and a car.

Listen to Music from Your Smartphone

Instead of constantly switching radio channels, trying to get rid of annoying songs or commercials, or constantly recording something new on a USB flash drive, it's much better to listen to music from your smartphone: here you can listen to songs from the Internet, and your favorite music that is available offline . But before you buy additional devices, try connecting your smartphone to the car radio with a standard USB cable.

New Features for Diagnostics

Innovative applications for smartphones allow every owner of the car, using a special Bluetooth adapter connected to the car's OBDII port, to read all errors from a car's computer. With these applications, you can diagnose your car on the go.

Use the Opportunity to Save on DVR

Do smartphones and tablets have a camera - so it can be used for the benefit of the motorist. This is an obvious thought: why spend extra money to buy a DVR, if it can easily be replaced by a smartphone?

And for this there are special programs that allow you to impose time, speed and coordinates on the video image. The only drawback is that the smartphone battery will be discharged faster, but it is possible to connect the charger in all cars. As a bonus, applications for video registration offer such pleasant (for a long time already used not only in the premium segment) functions, such as recognition of road signs of speed limits and prohibition of overtaking. The advantage of a mobile application is that there are more recognizable road signs. However, there is a hitch in how truthfully the camera of the smartphone recognizes them and in what light conditions. But in any case, you should try this option.

The Possibilities of Reverse Integration

Currently, many automakers have begun to equip their products with new smartphone integration systems with new software. Thanks to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, your favorite applications on your smartphone become available on the screen of the infotainment system of your car. In addition, all your contacts saved in the phone can also be viewed on the screen of this console.

Of course, the list of possibilities of the integration of a smartphone and a car is not limited to the mentioned above. Start enjoying them today and make your driving more convenient and innovative.

realme-x-5g

A few years ago the main trend was smartphones featuring lots of features, online mobile games and multiple cameras. As to be expected, the more cameras a phone had, the more effusive were the bragging rights. These days, most smartphones on the market have multiple cameras, with some being so festooned with cameras -especially on the back.

Now, it seems the age of multiple cameras has passed, or at least slowed down, with the next big thing being 5G smartphones. More and more of such smartphones are being launched, primarily by such phone makers like Samsung and Huawei. Not to be outdone, Chinese phone maker Realme has revealed that it plans to unleash its own 5G smartphones on the ever-dynamic Indian market soon.

Realme Gets Real

Just last month, Realme confirmed that it aims to launch 5G-enabled smartphones in India, but only when the network for it has been completed. The exact completion date for the Indian 5G network appears iffy, with the result that Realme has so far been unable to decisively state if it will roll out 5G smartphones in India within this year, or if Indian consumers will have to wait till next year for what folks in a few other countries have begun taking for granted..

The CEO of the company, Madhav Sheth recently disclosed on Twitter that his company plans to start offering 5G-enabled smartphones as of this year. While this is commendable, questions still remain.

For one, left unsaid is if Realme plans to roll out a new 5G smartphone specifically for the Indian market, or if it will offer Indian users the 5G variant of its very fabulous Realme X. According to reports, the 5G variant of this smartphone has the uber-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip sitting pretty under the hood and is jam-packed with lots of class-leading features.

Quite Recently, Realme brought its new Realme X to the Chinese market, which is one of the biggest on the globe. This is its very first phone with a pop-up selfie cam that takes the most amazing pics while eliminating the dreaded notch.

Realme has as well revealed plans to launch the phone in India as soon as possible, with all three variants of the phone scheduled to be available. This launch will take place around the middle of this year, with prices ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 20,000 according to variant.

X Games With The Realme X

The Realme X is equipped with a 16 MP selfie snapper that has a Sony IMX471 sensor and an aperture of f/2.0. On the back is a double rear camera setup, with the main one being a 48MP shooter that has an f 1.7 aperture, plus LED flash. Complementing it is a 5MP secondary camera that works overtime making sure that its big brother takes the most amazing and fantastic pictures.

Every year, the top brands release their flagship devices with the latest features in the market. Choose one of these flagship devices depending on what kind of a user you are. These flagship devices come with the latest software and hardware, so you can expect to find the best processor, camera and operating system of the year. Try checking websites, like https://letmebank.com/,to find out more about getting loans.

2.   Attend shows and conferences: - Going to an event is not always about marketing yourself or your product, you can just go there to educate yourself and find out what is going on. It isn't possible to attend every conference, so choose wisely. Just google when and where the nearest mobile tech conference is holding and apply for it.

Try to go as much of these conferences as possible and you will learn a lot from there. Also, try to go to the new mobile launch events if possible. They always talk about the upcoming technologies in the near future.

huawei-p30-pro

In a world where the Nokia 9 PureView sports a penta-camera setup on its back, and even mid-rangers like the upcoming Redmi Note 7 Pro is supposed to carry a 48-mp Sony IMX586 sensor on release, it is just so hard to determine a clear winner these days.

Is it the Apple iPhone XS or the Galaxy S10+ which has the best night mode? Or does the Google Pixels still have the best single-camera you can get your tech-savvy paws on? Well the answer may not surprise anyone who is familiar with the recent releases and smartphone reviews, but to those that have firmly believed Apple, Samsung and Google to be the leaders in smartphone camera department, this will come as a bit of a shock for sure.

The Huawei P30 Pro has by far, the best rear camera setup on a smartphone you can possibly use to snap photos with, as of now. While the Google Pixel 3/Pixel 3 XL's single 12.2-mp rear camera is a runner-up and might even match the four lenses of the Huawei P30 Pro in some aspects, the 40MP + 20MP + 8MP + ToF (Time of Flight) lenses beat the Pixels in low-light performance to such a degree, that it isn't even comparable at this point.

p30-pro-vs-pixel-3-xl

Then there are the added advantages of having a very useful 20MP ultra-wide lens by your side, as well as the 10x optical zooming option, which can be coupled with digital zoom to reach an astounding 50X superzoom from a smartphone!

If you have any doubt regarding the actual picture quality, do check out multiple videos on YouTube that review the Huawei P30 Pro's imaging capabilities and compare it with that of other smartphone cameras. If only it had a better display and a better UI...

mobile-apps

Source: Mobile apps via Facebook

Mobile apps shot to popularity at an impressive rate during the early smartphone years around 2008, and it seemed that they would be around forever. Suddenly, users were able to click on the game or feature they wanted to use and have it instantly open and be ready in a matter of seconds. Apps were perfectly geared to the smaller mobile screen and were the ideal answer to the problem of having to painstakingly trying to view websites designed for desktop on the smaller screen.

Many businesses that didn't quickly get in on the app craze faded away, and those which did, flourished. But ten years on from the dramatic rise of apps, they could soon be about to decline. The advent of HTML5 means that apps aren't as essential as they once were, and they could easily become obsolete in the near future.

Record Low Number of Apps in App Store in 2017

Ever since the introduction of mobile apps and the opening of Apple's App Store in July 2008, the platform had never seen a decline in the number of apps available to consumers. That was until 2017, when Apple reported a drop in the number of apps available for the first time in the history of the marketplace. During 2017, the store shrank from 2.2 million apps at the start to 2.1 million by the end of the year. This doesn't sound like a considerable difference, but the fact that the platform had been growing each year up to that point makes it seem more relevant - and it is.

Granted, some of this decline is down to Apple deciding to scrap old apps which are no longer compatible with newer iPhones. But there are other factors in play. The internet has progressed at an astounding rate over the last ten years, and the web now a lot more advanced than it was when apps were first introduced. Businesses are now looking towards using other technology in their web design, along with progressive web apps. Native mobile apps as we know them now may no longer be as useful or essential as they once were. As seamlessly as apps first became an integral part of people's lives, they could soon disappear as swiftly.

Why are Apps on the Decline?

The main reason that apps could be on the decline is the emergence of HTML5, which is arguably the most efficient way of structuring and presenting content since the advent of the internet. With past versions of HTML, businesses needed to create completely different websites for desktop and mobile, while users of both also needed to install plugins for viewing certain content. This is why apps were used, because they made all this possible on mobile.

With HTML5, however, there are seamless transitions for websites between different platforms. Opening a company's website from a mobile or desktop screen provides the same, smooth experience. Because of this, businesses are realising that there is less of a need to create separate apps for mobile customers now. Because HTML5 is fairly new, some companies are choosing to continue running apps while also updating their websites with the new markup language. Amazon, LinkedIn and Box.net have already flocked to HTML5, while still offering apps for certain services. On the other hand, sites like The Guardian have kept their mobile apps, but also updated the website with HTML5 to allow mobile users to access it that way. For many, third-party mobile apps pose a problem, if they're using a company-owned phone, which is why companies like Wink Bingo are using browser-based mobile apps to circumvent this issue. Apps are likely to continue to exist while the transition is completed, but after that, there might not be much need for them in the way we know now. Instead, there is likely to be a move towards a newer, sleeker kind of app known as the progressive web app.

Is the Future Bleak for Apps? What do the Experts Say?

The emergence of HTML5 does make it seem like the future is bleak for apps, as a lot of the things that made them so popular in the first place are not unique to them anymore. Yet, it is still useful for mobile users to be able to see the various different games and services available to them on their home screens. Being able to click on the thing you want to use and have it open instantly will always be a popular method of using mobile. This is far superior to having a number of different tabs open on your mobile browser, for instance. John Watton, the marketing director at Adobe, has also insisted that good mobile apps are vital to boosting repeat visits. However, this can also be achieved with progressive web apps, which also have an icon on the mobile device's home screen.

In the US, the number of app installs since 2014 is down by 38 percent, while there has also been a 28 percent decrease in apps opened. These figures could suggest that users are less interested in apps, but also that companies are more focused on using newer methods such as HTML5. Experts believe that in the not so distant future, progressive web apps will take over the market and serve as a happy medium bridging traditional apps and websites. According to Andrew Gazdecki, the founder and CEO of Bizness Apps, progressive web apps are more efficient and functional than native apps. One of the highlights is that there is no need to sacrifice the convenience of a traditional app because all progressive web apps are available with a handy home screen icon.

Traditional mobile apps as we know them could well become obsolete in the next few years as more modern alternatives look to replace them. HTML5, along with progressive web apps, is likely to be the preferred options for businesses moving forwards over the next few years. From a consumer's point of view, the difference is unlikely to be too noticeable and the change will occur gradually.

s9-plus-vs-iphone-x

We have no doubt that iPhone and Samsung have become the biggest names in the mobile phone industry. The two mobile phones have charmed a lot of electronic device users including online casino players. But the most important thing is that everyone prefers one over the other.

Since mobile phones have become part of livelihood, the aforesaid brands have been battling to be at the summit. However, this stiff competition has been great for users and the mobile phones industry as a whole. This is because we have witnessed some great and marvellous innovations as the two giants are in pursuit of greatness.

These innovations have led us to review the brands' latest mobile phones and see which one has the edge over the other. Maybe you might need to play slots at online casinos in usa on both models to find the best one.

Mobile Phones Design

It's hard to differentiate the two cell phones by only looking at the technicalities. But once you take a closer look at them side by side you can promptly tell their dissimilar.

These good-looking phones are well designed with an all-glass back, and for Samsung, it's absolutely nothing new.  The glass back makes the devices to look attractive and it also contains a magnet for a fingerprint scanner. This glass back is available on both mobile phones.

Camera

With the dominance of social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat, both phones have gone on to craft a dual camera that encompasses 12-megapixel lenses. If the camera is a priority then you need to spot the differences between the two.

iPhone has fixed aperture main lens that performs in conditions without colour oversaturation. However, Samsung S9 has a bit of an edge when it comes to portrait capturing. The mobile phone which is compatible with online gambling produces a low-light performance that comes with the Galaxy S9. Thumbs up to its dual camera setup.

Battery Life

This is another area whereby Samsung S9 should have dominated, rather it looked like iPhone managed to match their counterpart standards. Both phones support built-in battery alongside the fast and wireless charger. An iPhone X will charge the battery to 50% in 30 minutes, whilst the Galaxy S9 will charger from 10% to 60% in an hour.

DXOMARK-best-camera-phone

Even in 2018, Apple, Samsung and Google were competing only with each other in the smartphone camera battle and the Pixel 2 was leading only by the narrowest of controversial margins. Right now though, only the Google Pixel 3 is still on the top 3 list, with the likes of the iPhone XS Max and the Note 9 not even making it anywhere onto the top 5 spot! According to the latest rankings on DXOMARK, the top three positions are held by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro (116), the Huawei P20 Pro (109) and the Google Pixel 3 (107). While these results have not been officially published on their site yet, the leaked screenshot you see above has been all but confirmed by multiple reliable sources. Just in case you are not aware, DXOMARK is basically the most reliable and trusted benchmarking source when it comes to ranking D-SLR cameras and smartphone cameras after rigorous testing in various conditions.

huawei-mate-20-pro

It is clear now that the Chinese brands are not only offering similar hardware at better price points than Samsung or Apple, but they are actually producing better hardware too! The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is so far ahead of the curve that it's almost embarrassing for the rest of the competition to be honest. Consider the fact that

flexipai

Rumors and reports have only begun to surface that Samsung could be unveiling the technology behind their first foldable smartphone next week, but a much smaller firm has beaten Samsung to it by revealing what is being touted as the "first foldable phone" by them. In all honesty, it looks like a foldable prototype than a marketable device!

The FlexiPai by Rouyu Technology is rumored to be released very soon but if it is going to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/8150 SoC like Ice Universe tweeted, then that's not going to happen. Also, we kind of hope that Rouyu Technology waits a little longer before actually releasing the device because as of now, it really looks unfinished! Nevertheless, this is definitely a rough look into the future that's waiting for smartphone evolution in general. Check out the key specs below.

·        7.8" truly flexible display with just 7.6mm thickness

·        Qualcomm Snapdragon 855/8150 SoC

·        6GB RAM + 128GB storage/8GB RAM + 256GB storage/8GB RAM + 512GB storage

·        16MP wide-angle + 20MP telephoto pairing

·        Starting price will exceed $1,290 and will go up as high as $1,860+

Risks To Your Safety

There are multiple instances when we process sensitive data on our smartphones. First, our smart devices have a multitude of sensors (cameras, microphones, GPS, NFC) that can record and transmit sensitive data.  Second, the synchronization occurring between different devices and between devices and clouds (including credit card information or passwords for various websites) transform smartphones into vulnerable gateways to our individual digital mini-worlds.

smartphone-safety

The problem gets even more serious when financial information is involved, like when playing in an online casino from your smartphone. Normally, the best online casinos have safe payment procedures, but this does not guarantee that your device is not hacked and either financial data or login credentials are stolen or that your traffic is intercepted. Obviously, this applies many other situations, like when donating to a crowdfunding platform, shopping on eBay, managing your online banking account, etc.

Antivirus Software

The first answer to this spectrum of risks is a good antivirus software. While many manufacturers do integrate many antivirus functions in their hardware, firmware, or as standalone apps, their quality or functionality might often be inadequate or insufficient, suggesting that a better option is to install a top antivirus from the respective app market.

An antivirus would constantly be on alert for detecting:

       viruses,

       Trojans,

       worms,

       malicious websites,

phishing attempts and spam in your email account.

Despite implementing many heuristic approaches, an antivirus is still vulnerable to potential new threats which are not described in its constantly actualized database. Consequently, new types of ingenious viruses can bypass all these defenses and enter your system to do damage. Thus, besides antiviruses, there is also need of a preventive solution.

VPNs For Online Privacy and Safe Browsing

A VPN encrypts all your traffic and routes it through dedicated servers whose IP address you take as an online user. The main results are online anonymity but also the fact that third parties (like hackers or the ISP) cannot access your web traffic, even on public WiFi networks. Thus, it is a very good idea to install a free or paid VPN app from the store and activate it in case you need to make a payment on a network that you do not completely trust.

Keep in mind however, than not all sites would allow you to use VPNs, since many would need to ensure that you are accessing them from a valid IP address from a given country or region. Thus, there were occasional reports of  account bans enforced by PayPal when users tried to access them through VPNs. But such situations are relatively rare.

Conclusion

In order to achieve a comprehensive protection for your device, it is most wise to combine the power of both these entirely distinct but complementary and compatible solutions - antiviruses and VPNs.  An antivirus is essential for comprehensive safety, while a VPN is important both for safety and online privacy (which is another form of safety).

cellphones

The role of the mobile phone is becoming more diverse with each new device launched. More features are being added to the devices to make them more relevant to the modern man.

Cell Phones at Work

The latest mobile phones have become extensions of the office. For many tech savvy people, the mobile smart phone is giving a lot of solutions to office problems. Besides the basic ability to receive and make calls from outside the office people can conduct entire business transaction on a cell phone.

Tips and tricks from Fonehouse.co.uk

Mobile phones are a ubiquitous sight for people to see. We encounter them frequently, and they're used for a wide selection of different tasks. However, how many people actually know how to get the most from their phone?

It's relatively common for people not to understand how to utilise a phone in the best possible way. We presume that they're automatically set up to make our lives as easy as possible, but this isn't always the case. In a lot of cases, you have to really know a trick or two to make sure that your phone is optimised correctly. Sites like Fonehouse have heard many different ideas for how best to try and make the phone the best possible thing it can be, and we're going to be looking at some of them here and now.

Back Up What You Can't Afford To Lose

Music, photos, important business documents. They're all things that we can access without a moment's hesitation, but they're not permanent. If you drop your phone, damage it or expose it to water, you can lose everything. This obviously isn't something that you want to happen, so you need to make sure that you backup anything that you can't afford to lose. It protects all the things that you want to keep in the event of them perhaps not being available to you. Technology is far from perfect after all, and in a world of bugs and faults, there's never been more of a need to stay secure.

Consider A New Browser

A lot of the core apps provided to you by your phone will be pretty useful. However, perhaps it's time to consider something other than Safari for your iPhone. Every browser will offer you a different and possibly better experience. For example, Google Chrome allows users to view tabs that they have open on another device. It's worth taking the time to look around and see what is available to you regarding browsers, and even consider alternatives for other things as well. Perhaps a more specialist reminder application, or a music provider that works for your lifestyle.

Folders Are Your Friend

Trawling through pages of apps can be an absolute chore to try and do. When you're just looking for one application in three or four pages worth, you soon find yourself wishing for an alternative. This is where folders come into play. They're designed to help you sort applications based on their usage and characteristics. They can be and often are your best friends, so it's worth taking the time to stop and look at how you can arrange things.

Use Shortcuts

Shortcuts are designed to help us get to various parts of our phones without having to navigate through hundreds of different menus. A lot of home screens on phones, especially those made by Apple, are designed to make it so that people can get around their phones with ease. Plus, a lot of them can be customised and changed to suit the needs of the people who are using them, so it's perfect for so many different people to use. If you don't use your home screen all that much, you should definitely look into how you can customise it to suit your specific needs and requirements.

Keep It Simple

All things considered, sometimes it's best to keep your phone as simple as possible. The more applications that you have on the phone and the more you try and do at once, the higher the risk of something going wrong. Sometimes the best way to do things is to keep it simple and straightforward. This is achieved by limiting the number of apps you have open, and not pushing the phone too far.

All in all, these are just a few of the different things which you can do to make sure that you are getting the most from your phone. Because we all use our mobiles so often, it is so important that we take the time to make the most of the phones that we have. Despite what we would like to think, our phones aren't actually always set up to make our lives the most convenient that they can be. This requires us to tailor all of the various functions and features of the device to suit our own unique needs and requirements. Only by doing this can we expect to have a phone which is convenient, highly intuitive and attuned to our lives.

Mobile phones have become ubiquitous today. Almost everyone in the developed and developing countries, whether they are a school-goer, a salaried professional, or even elderly, has one type of smartphone or the other. However, do you know there are many ways to enhance your mobile experience?

The following are top 5 things that you can do to make the most of your smartphone:

1. Setting up Smart Lock

It's good that most phones offer a slew of security features to protect your privacy. However, when you are at home i.e. in a safe space, then it can be annoying to unlock your device whenever it's in the standby mode. This problem can be easily solved with Google Smart Lock.

Google Smart Lock offers you a number of options that make phone unlocking easy and convenient:

Trusted Places

You can set up Trusted Places of the smart lock so that when you are in select locations (home, office, etc.) then the phone remains unlocked for a certain period. It can track your location with the GPS sensor and unlock the device automatically when it detects the locations set by you.

On Body Detection

This feature keeps the phone unlocked as long as it's in your hands or pockets. However, as soon as you put the phone down, it gets locked instantly.

Trusted Devices

You can also link a Bluetooth device such as a Bluetooth speaker, smartwatch, etc. to your smartphone so that when it detects the device it understands that you are in a "safe zone" and unlocks the device as long as you are in the vicinity of the device.

There are many other ways to set up Smart Lock. To learn how to turn it on/off the in your Android device, go here.

2. Installing Performance Booster App

It's not uncommon for people to fill their mobiles with all kinds of games and apps. However, this constant addition of new applications over time can greatly affect your phone's performance. To solve this problem, you can use a utility app like Power Clean that can optimize your device.

Power Clean offers a number of features that help to make your phone run faster and create space for new apps and files in a matter of seconds. With its "one tap" feature, you can remove obsolete APK files, cache data, unwanted apps, junk photos and more. If can also be used for increasing the free available RAM or removing viruses.

3. Using VPN

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a connection method that sets up a virtual tunnel between your mobile and the services you access on the Internet. So, any information that's exchanged between you and the websites you visit are hidden from your ISP and potential hackers that may try to tap into the communication channel.

There are many benefits of using VPN:

  • You can enjoy a high level of security and privacy whether you are using your phone with your home wifi or a public hotspot.
  • You can unlock geo-restricted content such as Hulu, BBC Radio etc. as the service allows you to access these websites through remote servers.
  • If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has throttled your bandwidth, then a VPN service can increase your Internet speed too.

There are a variety of VPN services that you can use for your mobile such as TunnelBear, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, etc. However, you may want to learn how VPN works exactly so that you know how to pick the right VPN for your needs.

4. Enabling Developer Options

Although the developer options in smartphones are meant for software professionals, general users can also use them to enhance their experience. However, you need to enable these options first as they aren't accessible by default.

If you are using an android phone, then enabling developer options is quite simple. Just go to Settings > About phone or Settings > System > About phone, look for build number, and tap it several times (usually 7) until it notifies you that you have become a developer. Doing the same on an iPhone is slightly more complicated but you can still learn it here.

Some of the best developer options that are available in an Android phone are:

  • Background process limit: This option lets you limit the number of apps that can run in the background at the same time. The default number is usually 4-5. However, you can set it to zero so that every time you close an app, it's terminated rather than moved to the background where it continues to run. This can greatly improve the performance of your device.
  • Aggressive data handover: Activating this option makes your wi-fi more "aggressive" in handing over the data connection to mobile. So, whenever the wi-fi signal gets low, it hands over the connection to your mobile data instantly. This way, you can surf the Internet without any lags.
  • Force 4X MSAA: If you want to take your mobile gaming experience to the next level, then you can enable the Force 4X MSAA option. It lets you enjoy better quality graphics in a variety of games and OpenGL ES 2.0 applications. However, bear in mind that it increases the battery consumption too.

5. Double up Your Device as a POS Terminal

If you are a business owner who has to accept credit/debit card payments from customers frequently, then you don't need to invest in a POS terminal for that. Square Register is a unique payment service that allows you to convert your standard smartphone into a POS device by using a special dongle called Square Reader. It's an innovative card-swipe dongle that plugs into your phone's audio jack. It's easy to use, and available for both iOS and Android devices.

We've all seen the headlines in the media, and the dire warnings that we are becoming addicted to our phones, but that doesn't alter the fact that there are more apps allowing us to do more things appearing in the app stores every day, and our reliance on mobile tech is only increasing.

The rise of the trading apps

Forex trading apps are a case in point. In a world where traditional investments are no longer enough to guarantee a comfortable financial future, currency trading is gaining attention among amateur investors. After all, there are plenty of successful Forex traders in the world, and the advent of trading apps that we can access day and night from literally anywhere means that trading is no longer something for the wall street specialists.

This is an age of choice, and opportunity, and the online world allows you to do what you want when you want, 24 hours a day and seven days a week. That freedom comes at a potential price, though, and if you are looking to join the growing ranks of online traders, follow some basic rules to prevent the dream from turning into a nightmare world of addiction and financial disaster.

Trade like a pro

Installing a trading app is easy, and costs nothing. Using it to make money is another matter. Amateur traders can get caught up in the hype of being a trader and can fully believe that they are "trading like a pro" as they open up the app while chatting to a friend over a beer to coolly complete a little trade.

Of course, in that circumstance, you are doing the absolute opposite to what a professional is likely to do. What serious Forex trader is going to be in the right frame of mind to do their work while socializing with a friend and drinking beer, with the Patriots game blaring away in the background?

Trading like a pro means getting into the right mindset, running through your trading strategy and then taking a long look at all the key indicators and signals to decide what trades are likely to be on your agenda today. Just like any form of remote work, you need some demarcation, and this is why mobile trading can be a dangerous thing.

Manage your schedule

Don't think from the above that mobile trading apps are a bad thing. Quite the opposite, they are an essential tool for both pro and occasional traders. It all comes down to using the tools in the right way. Even the top Wall Street traders are not going to be doing hundreds of trades every day and watching the market 23 hours out of 24. If you are doing so as an amateur, there's something going badly wrong.

The advantage of mobile trading apps is that they are convenient - they free you from the need to sit down at your desktop to do your trading activity. But that doesn't mean that you have to spend any more time using them than you would if you were operating from desktop only.

Watch for the signs of addiction

Ah, the a-word. It's one that the media loves to throw around. They would have us believe that we are addicted to unhealthy food, to coffee, to our cars, to TV and most of all to our smartphones. The trend towards demonizing any sort of luxury or convenience and shouting the word addiction at the first sign of over-indulgence is not just inaccurate. It is also counter-productive.

Any kind of addiction, from cigarettes to shopping to gambling to junk food presents a serious risk and can ruin lives. The misuse of the word in the popular media, where anyone who gets drunk or eats unhealthy food or spends lots of time on their smartphone must be an addict leads to a classic boy who cried wolf scenario. It only makes it less likely for us to see the signs when genuine addiction begins to manifest.

If you are trading at silly hours, waking in the night and instantly reaching for the app or finding yourself trading almost on "auto pilot" without even thinking about what you are doing, the first thing to do is stop.

Take a step back and return to the drawing board. Every successful trader has an underlying strategy, and you can bet that none of them involve waking up to do panic trading at 3AM. If that doesn't work, the other great thing about the online age is that help, just like everything else, is always at hand, so use the resources that are available to you.

With all the latest news, views and video you'll be kept fully up to date on everything you need to know about Russia 2018.

William Hill App

Naturally, a big part of the World Cup is having a flutter. Fancy another Iceland giant killing? Perhaps you'd prefer to play safe and go for Messi to top score.

Either way, William Hill has got you covered and from now until the tournament will be providing you all the latest odds and offers to enjoy. It's one of the best places to have a punt and will have a huge range of World Cup markets.

An On Demand TV App

No matter where you are in the world, soccer's biggest tournament will be live on TV.

If you're out and about, an on demand app will have your back and you'll be able to watch live games no matter where you are.

The likes of BBC iPlayer or ESPN will steam games daily, meaning you'll never miss out on any of the action.

Football Manager 2018

Think you can do better? Why not download Football Manager 2018 and put yourself to the test.

It's not free and comes at a fair price but it's comfortably the most expansive and in depth simulation game on the market. Can you lead England to their first since ‘66? Maybe the dark horses Belgium are destined for the title under your reign.

There's only one way to find out...

An Overview of Modular Phones

Mobile devices have given us a world of portability and dynamic communication. It's like being flung into a new era; modern communication has dramatically changed.

We engage in social media platforms and turn to the likes of Twitter and Facebook to stay updated on the events in our world. The modern smartphone has made it easier than ever before to catch up with just about anyone around the world, anywhere and at any given time.

Technology has not only inspired a new age of communication but also a new era of hand-held mobile devices that are smart and versatile. Nothing echoes this concept more than the modular phone.

Modular phones at their very core are interchangeable smartphones that gives the user the power to build and recreate a device moulded around your needs for the day or a specific period. Obviously the modular phone is still a concept at this moment in time but projects like Ara from Google could see the modular phone put into production very soon.

The Building Blocks Of Modular Phones

So, what are modular phones? At its core, a modular phone is a smart phone that makes use of modules or building blocks, much like LEGO to build and customize a device tailor made to the users direct needs.

What this means is that you would literally be able to build your own smartphone with the core components you want in a phone, and this could make playing the online slots Canada has to offer even better than ever if you tailor make your custom device. Attach a camera and a speaker, or remove the camera and beef up your phones sound with a bigger speaker. The end result is entirely up to you.

The Tech Advantage Of Modular Phones

As technology improves and advances, so do smart phones. There's a constant need to upgrade your device to enjoy the full benefits on offer.

Much like updating your mobile operating software, you need to upgrade your device every few years as old technology gets left behind rapidly.

Modular phones would bridge this gap for users, allowing you to upgrade the components on your smart phone; rather than upgrading the entire device, which can prove costly.

Versatility And Diversity

Modular phones could offer users an exciting mobile experience because of their versatility and diversity. Even though at their core structure all modular phones are the same, the way you can customize the device is entirely up to the user.

It's an expression of your personal style and needs. This in itself already leaves the mobile market on its head because at this stage all smart phones are basically doing the exact same thing. The core functions are the same, the only things that really differ are the phones specs and operating system.

Modular phones would create a base and it would be entirely up to the user to build up a phone suited to personal needs, much like building your own desktop computer; only this one fits in the palm of your hand for on the go computing and communication.

The Truth Behind Project Ara

Originally Project Ara was supposed to have given users a future proof phone that could be built and interchanged. Project Ara's smart modular phone looks like it's going to disappoint a lot of people because the device will already have all the components built in and offer users a handful of add on components that can only be bought from the develop, which is Google.

What Project Ara does promise though is better versatility with add on modules including a camera, a speaker, an E-Ink display, which is like a kindle screen and an expanded memory module.

Even though these don't seem all to exhilarating; it's a start and more components could be hitting the market in the very near future. It also makes your smartphone more versatile than standard iPhones and Samsung devices.

Android smartphones continue to get better each year with better cameras, faster processors and new apps.  Many of these phones are also much cheaper.  This does it make it difficult when choosing an Android smartphone.  This article will look at some of the top Android phones to buy.

Samsung Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is considered the best Android smartphone and comes with a 5.8 inch screen.  The display is large and fills almost the entire face of the phone.  It has a great processor, loads of storage space, a slot for an SD card and it is fully waterproof.  The camera takes high quality photos and videos.  Some reviews have said the phone may be a bit overwhelming, but Samsung has added many features into this phone which means there is a feature for everyone.  The phone is aesthetically appealing filled with great features and is a great choice for a wide range of users.  It may be advisable to spend a bit more to get the Galaxy S8+, which is a bit bigger and has more battery life.  A drawback of this phone is that the fingerprint scanner is located on the back of the phone and the facial recognition does not work as well as expected.

LG V30

The LG V30 is a great phone and takes over from the G6.  The V30 is designed using metal and glass, but is slimmer and has subtle curves.  The phone is easy to hold even though it has a 6 inch display.  Internally the phone is well made, comes with a great camera and is ideal for playing the online Blackjack Canada has to offer.  Even though the pixels are small the standard shooter takes exceptional photos and the secondary shooter comes with a wide angle camera.  The LG software is easy to use and this phone does all the necessary basics really well and looks good.  There is also a V30+ available which has more storage space which makes it more value for money.  The built-in quad DAC makes great sound, better than most phones.  It's a pricey phone, but offers good value for money.

OnePlus 5

The OnePlus 5 comes with the latest Android OS, 7.1 Nougat and Snapdragon 835 CPU and has been compared to the iPhone X.  It has a rear and front camera.  It has received rave reviews for being the best Android phone and the Chinese manufacturer of this phone has made improvements from the OnePlus 3 and 3T.  The OnePlus 5 comes with a slick design and loads of power.  The display, AMOLED, is vibrant and bright and has a fast fingerprint scanner.  It does not have a micro SD card and the battery life is not great, generally lasts for about a day, but the price is worth it considering the features.

Vivo is no longer just another Chinese manufacturer trying to copy Apple; as a matter of fact, it has not only risen as a global smartphone OEM to reckon with, one can go as far as saying that the Chinese company has managed to beat both Samsung and Apple when it comes to introducing true innovation. If you are wondering why anyone would think so, then you probably don't know that Vivo has already showcased the in-display, under the screen fingerprint scanner with its Vivo X20 Plus UD smartphone, that both Apple and Samsung have failed to do, even after repeated attempts by the latter in the last year or so. As if that was not impressive enough, take a look at the leaked shots of this smartphone from Vivo, which will likely be coming in with the in-screen fingerprint scanner and this gorgeous, truly bezel-less display.

Sources are unsure whether this is the Vivo Xplay 7 or not, but it could very well be. It would be really interesting to see if Vivo also packs in a 4K resolution in that beautiful display, just like the rumors had been predicting. If they do, that would make Vivo the only company apart from Sony to have a smartphone with a 4K display. It is quite possible that the upcoming Snapdragon 845 SoC will be powering the device as well, alongside an internal storage capacity of 256GB/512GB. Would you buy this beauty if it became available in your country?

Given the time and advances in these tech fields, the following emerging mobile technology could be flipping the smartphone on its ear for good.

Forget About A Carrier With Wi-Fi Phones

Traditionally, mobile phones have relied upon a mobile carrier/network in order to be connected to the cellular realm. In today's modern times, the use of a carrier is becoming less and less attractive with new smartphones that can connect to a Wi-Fi network to make VOIP or Voice Over Internet Protocol calls without the use of a computer.

This means that you no longer have to be associated with a particular network carrier in order to make and receive phone calls. It's forward thinking Tech that could also see your phone bill dramatically decreased come month end.

Augmented Reality In Mobile Devices

Augmented Reality technology is making waves in the mobile world with more and more uses for the tech; smart phones could be seeing an even smarter realization very soon.

Augmented Reality technology captures our world in a layer style approach and superimposes it into the digital world. Since your smartphone is king of digital space at the moment, it only makes sense that more and more apps would be developed around AR.

Users can look forward to features that would ideally incorporate the Internet, accelerometers and GPS devices to bring your world to life on your phone. The end result could have you pointing your smartphone at a random building only for your phone to dive into the buildings history, location, occupancy and more.

Open Your World With Open Source Software

Developers are looking into bringing the world open source software for mobile phones. There are some big names on the playground already, with the likes of Google and Yahoo set to create this software for almost any mobile phone.

If open source smart phones become available it would mean a better user experience all round. Some of the advantages include enhanced features/mobile compatibility and lower costs derived from open source trade in the market place.

These mobile services would be able to do just about everything current smart phones do and more at a minimal cost to customer.

Make Payments With Your Smart Phone

With Near Field Communication technology improving at a rapid rate, it's becoming more and more accessible to use your smartphone as a payment portal.

Users simply scan their mobile device and use an app that is directly linked to your debit or credit card and your payment is almost instant. When the technology has been perfected there won't even be a need for a wallet anymore, as your mobile phone will store all your information.

Realistic Typing With Tactile Feedback

Most modern mobile phones have touch screen technology that is responsive and quick to the take. Some users do however have an issue with the response rate and feeling the keys slide away under your thumbs only to deliver a word that was never supposed to be there in the first place.

Certain smart phone developers like Blackberry tried to bridge this gap by offering users the best of both worlds, with a fully functional touch screen and keypad for texting/typing.

Now developers are looking into a touchscreen that would feel more responsive and ergonomic. This tech is still in development but we could potentially be seeing it in smartphones in 2018.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy X is the supposed foldable smartphone that never arrived even after years of speculations and predictions. However, the era of foldable smartphones is finally here, thanks to ZTE's brand new experimental smartphone, the Axon M.

The Axon M sports two 5.2-inch displays of identical properties, which can be folded in the middle to make for a more portable package. The phone still feels quite bulky due to the thickness, but it's the world's first phone which makes carrying around a potentially 10.4-inch display in your pocket, a feasible option.

Apart from the dual 1080p 5.2-inch LCD FHQ displays, it also sports a 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, 4GB of RAM, a single 20-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and dual image stabilization and 64GB of internal storage with micro-SD card slot. In the US, the ZTE Axon M will be available exclusively on AT&T for roughly $699. Check out the video by The Verge to see the ZTE Axon M in action.

We use them to keep connected with friends and family, to navigate the world, find a date, take photos, watch videos, and play games at one of the high-end pay by phone bill casino sites, all at the swipe of a finger. Reports now show that more people use their mobile devices to have a bet or wager online, and because these online sites are operated under strict rules and regulations, and have to be licenced to run, increasing numbers are turning to online sites in preference to going out, for instance, to a bricks and mortar casino.

There is no doubt that the Smartphone has changed our lives yet we are still only starting to understand the full impact that this new technology is having on our lives, our relationships and the lives of our children.

Infact, there has been a great deal of research carried out on Smartphone usage, but we are still only scraping at the surface of how this use interfaces with our relationships. Questions like: Is the smartphone helping us be better connected, or is it taking us away from our relationships, and does using the smartphone help us to take a few minutes out from our busy lives, or is it distracting us from real problems, need to be addressed.

What should always be remembered is that the Smartphone is not the real problem as it is actually a pretty impressive tool, what is the issues is how we use that tool, how we use the computer we can carry about in our pocket or bag that is the real issue.

If you ask most adolescents if they could live without their phone, the answer would be a resounding no, but that answer is not just limited to adolescents as many adults would give the same reply.

Take Australia as an example, almost 85% own a smartphone, that is around 16 million people just in one country, and Australia is only the fourth biggest nation of smartphone users in the world, our love affair with the smartphone is well and truly established, so much so that it is the 'must have' fashion accessory to have, and there is even phubbing to contend with.

'Phubbing' (for those who do not know) is the act of snubbing your partner in favour of being on your smartphone and we have all witnessed it (as well as doing it.) How many times can we go into a restaurant and see a couple hardly speaking to each other over the table whilst they are texting away or taking pics of the superb meal, they are out enjoying on Instagram?

Knowing when and when not to use a smartphone, or where is appropriate to take pictures is one thing, but being able to put down that mobile device is a completely different matter.

Unknown to many, Sharp was the original company who introduced the world's first bezel-less or borderless Android smartphone with the Aquos Crystal. Although the credit has to go to Xiaomi for refining it further with the Mi Mix and giving us the world's most advanced bezel-less smartphone at the time. However, Sharp is not about to go out of the game it seems as the latest leak on Weibo is pointing towards another borderless smartphone from the Japanese company. From what we can see, it may resemble the Essential Phone in the way that it has a hole near the top of the display to allow for the front camera.

Rumored to be the FS8010, this one won't be packing flagship specs like the upcoming Mi Mix 2 or any other borderless smartphone. Check it out below (based on what the rumors have provided us with so far).

5.5-inch 1080 x 2040 flat, borderless LCD display
Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC
4GB RAM
64GB internal storage
Single 12-mp camera
8-mp front camera
Android 7.1.1 Nougat

Blackberry was the first company to try and tackle the mobile phone information security issue on a global scale. At the time they were pushing the issue, there was nothing more to back it than an overindulged conspiracy theory. When Mobile Internet was taking its baby steps very few individuals could see the how far it grow. The only need to protect your device was from the prying eyes of the government.

As we said before, this is an idea that is being overindulged in Hollywood and other entertainment industries. Unless if you were involved in some Escobar kind of crime you had nothing to be afraid of. Because really who would be interested in wasting resources to see that you checking out child porn. The porn site would definitely be hunted down but not you.

Today the situation is different. Mobile Internet has literary taken over. Even in the most remote areas, there is now easy internet connectivity. Only the really outlandish areas are still without a proper reception. This is because of the amount of money that is being made online. The very same reason we now need to seriously consider mobile security. The money is causing ISP to go further in search of more users and also attracting scammers.

Policing the Phone

Without a doubt, there is now more potential of losing money online than ever before. However, rest assured, online casinos are 100% safe and secure. They do this by securing their websites with 128-bit SSL encryption. Visit https://www.casino-mate.com for safe online casino games. There is an unprecedented rise in cyber criminals. Not only in one area but in so many areas. Each and every day a new way is devised to take money away from even the most tech savvy individuals.

Therefore it has become essential to own a phone that at least knows more about cyber security. The phone should try to do more to stop intruders. One of the ways sure enough as Blackberry had predicted is data transfer encryption. This technology will even protect your transactions from prying eyes. It is the very same technology that is being used to protect player information at online casinos.

The mobile payments market has come along leaps and bounds in the past few years. We've went from using them hesitantly to making these payments a part of our everyday lives. Even in stores that accept contactless or for sending money to one another, we've been using this payment method more and more.

Right now, there's a massive war ongoing between various payment providers. Alternate payment providers, like Apple Pay and PayPal are now becoming even more popular than banks. This is because they are flexible, easy to use and generally don't add extra charges to their payments. These eWallet services now offer a viable alternative to traditional banking, which users are quickly catching on to.

Back in 1998, PayPal first came onto the scene and there's no question that this revolutionised how we pay. This product was well placed at the beginning of the online shopping boom and this was a great time for this to occur. People wanted to experiment with online payments but were still wary of the dangers that it posed. PayPal was a convenient way for users to get extra security while using this service.

As far as payment methods are concerned, PayPal is still king. This is true in just about every sector, from online shopping to gambling. The sheer number of sites accepting this payment method is almost frightening, as it's undoubtedly the most popular eWallet. Take mobile bingo pay with phone bill sites as an example, these bingo sites outnumber those that accept Neteller, Bitcoin or Paysafecard.

Through using these alternate payment methods, the online gambling sector is able to entice even more players that perhaps would not have deposited if this was not an option. This helps the industry to look more legitimate and get rid of some of the stigma surrounding the industry.

Apps for mobile payments just make the whole process much more convenient. Players can easily keep an eye on what they're spending and their own security. Banking providers are attempting to keep up with this by pioneering their own apps but these don't usually have quite as much flexibility. They also have more stringent security, often requiring three step processes to verify a payment.

For this reason, alternate mobile payment methods like PayPal must have more fraud protection in the case that their security is subverted. This allows them to offer easier ways to make payments while still accepting liability if they are breeched, which makes users a lot more comfortable.

In the future, it seems that Google will be one of the driving forces of innovation. They're currently working on a product that would use the contactless of your card, while it's still in your handbag. All of their innovation seems to be geared towards making the process easier and faster for users to pay.

Over the next few years, we'll probably see some massive changes to the way we pay with mobile. PayPal will likely still top the charts but this could shift quickly if another payment method does things better.

We live in the golden age of mobile communications and web browsing, and thanks to advances in technology our computers have become faster and smaller. As a result of this many new industries have grown around the platform to create an ecosystem of functions, services and enjoyment for users. Some new sectors that have grown as a result of the ubiquity of mobile devices are the mobile gaming and gambling industries as barriers to access and cost came down. In this post, we take a look at 3 reasons why mobile devices have grown to become the perfect platform for gaming and gambling activities.

1. Gaming on the Go

By far the biggest contributing factor as to why mobile devices have become the best place for gaming and gambling is the portability of the devices we now use. Smartphones pack lots of sophisticated hardware and software in a pocket-sized device that allows us to access content on the internet such as video games, mobile slots, and virtual casino's. Mobile games nowadays have evolved into very well-designed titles with realistic graphics that provide anything from a quick game to pass the time such as Flabby Bird, to fully immersive experiences that provide hours of entertainment such as PokemonGo.

Whether you're on your daily commute, have a few minutes to kill in a waiting room, or relaxing at home, - mobile users have access to billions of pages of content, services and much more at the tap of a screen. This portable convenience is why gaming has taken off so spectacularly, everyone with a mobile device is a potential gamer, and millions are taking up the challenge.

2. Online Casinos and Gaming Platforms

An extension of the points made above is the fact that casino and video games are now available on the internet and in app stores. Technological advances mean that anyone can enjoy the experience of a casino without having to painstakingly plan a trip to Las Vegas or Macau. In the same way, besides the cost of your mobile there is often no need for further investment to play mobile games as many are available for free. This is in contrast to investing in a video games console or an expensive gaming PC,- as well as the games, for example.

Needless to say, many gaming and gambling experiences are now specifically optimised for mobile to ensure each user's best experience on their particular device. Either way, the availability of virtual experiences on the internet and the speed and convenience of mobile mean have helped to grow the industry's popularity.

3. Social Gaming

Another internet-based phenomenon that has resulted from the digital boom and mobile platforms is social media. Our smartphones have allowed us to connect with our friends and family beyond just having their phone number. Social media also allows people to discover or build communities based around interests they follow and so it is with mobile gaming and gambling. There is no advertising that is as powerful as word of mouth, and that is what social gaming does best for virtual casinos and games; word spreads and fast popular games end up growing very quickly.

The three reasons outlined above are some of the most important factors as to why mobile devices are currently the best platform for playing video games and enjoying gambling experiences. Together they have created the best conditions for gaming and gambling to become as popular as they are today.

While Samsung had hoped to bring the world's first under-the-glass fingerprint scanner with the Galaxy S8, that plan didn't work out as the technology just wasn't ready in time. As a result, the Galaxy S8 ended up with the world's weirdest fingerprint scanner ever! Nevertheless, Samsung tried to incorporate it once again with the upcoming Note 8 and this time by working with a different company. However, reports are indicating that it didn't work out either and the Note 8 will sport a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, but in the middle thankfully! As it turns out, Apple themselves were not finding it easy to incorporate the next-gen fingerprint scanners either and rumor has it that there's no guarantee as to how the iPhone 8 OLED will be sporting its fingerprint scanner when it comes out later in the year.

Strangely enough, it's the Chinese manufacturer Vivo who is reportedly ahead of both the big guns and has already implemented the technology in one of their upcoming smartphones, which they are going to unveil in this very month (June 28) at the MWC Shanghai. I am really looking forward to this one, what about you?

We knew that the phone was coming but now it's finally here. Yes, we are talking about the much speculated Essential phone by Andy Rubin. In case you don't know yet, let us tell you that Andy Rubin is the original CEO and the main man behind the Android OS from days when Google didn't even own Android. Essential is his own start-up company and aka the Essential phone. Now that we have cleared that up, it's time to take a look and see what makes this phone special.

Top of the Line Specs

The phone truly doesn't hold back on any specs at all. Take a look at them below to see what we are talking about here.

Ceramic-glass build with Gorilla Glass 5 in front
5.7-inch LTPS bezel-less display with a resolution of 2560x1312 and an aspect ratio of 19:10
Qualcomm Snapdragon 835
4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage
Bluetooth 5.0
Dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with a telephoto lens, Laser and Phase Detection Autofocus, dual LED flash and 4K recording
8-mp front camera with 4K recording
Unique Digital assistant
3,040mAh battery with fast charging
Price: $699

Modular Design

Essential has taken on modularity; something in which both LG and Google has failed previously. However, it has taken the Lenovo route in doing so by opting for a magnetic connector at its back to allow for accessories; much in the same way the Moto Z does it. At this time, there are only two accessories available; a 360-degree camera ($199) and a charging dock.

We cannot help but see a striking similarity between the Essential phone and the Xiaomi Mi Mix! What do you think?

I know it sounds ridiculous but it's true! Thanks to Android Authority, we have found something for you today that's so different from every other smartphone out there that it's definitely worth a look.

There are two things that you need to understand about the Banana Phone.

• It's not an actual banana (which I am sure you had guessed)

• It's not exactly a standalone device

The Banana Phone is more of a Bluetooth communicator than a phone as it does require an actual smartphone to connect to, before voice communication is possible. It has a volume up, a volume down and even a Home button on it. With a battery life of roughly 10 hours (talk time) and a voice assistant that lets you make call from your banana, it might just be worth checking out at $40.

If you want one, the only problem is that you may have to wait till September. It's a crowd fund project by the way and will only go into production if they manage to reach their goal. In case you are wondering why you want to buy it, in spite of not being able to think of any logical use for it, join the club!

These days, it isn't rare to take our mobile devices with us everywhere. Mobile phones and tablets have expanded their abilities at incredible rates. Now, the power under our fingertips is vaster than the technology that sent the Apollo missions to the moon. That is an incredible leap forward that, along with the Internet's global community has completely changed the way that humans interact and live.

The digital age has made people available 24/7, no matter where they are. People can communicate using cutting edge chat-apps that even 15 years ago would have required a powerful desktop PC (remember AOL?). Now, we can chat to someone in Indonesia from Seattle at the drop of the hat - and then be chatting to someone in Ukraine moments later - all while waiting for a train (thanks to 3G or public WiFi).

Digital Drawbacks & Technological Threats

Sadly, along with the ability and will to be connected, also comes some very serious drawbacks. Modern problems. Digital threats that in some ways make people more vulnerable than ever before in history. Being connected leaves a trail and these digital footprints code for who we are like digital DNA. The data we create is highly personal and for that reason that data is incredibly valuable and people must seek to protect it.

What we actually find is a decrease in the level of scrutiny we apply to our online presence. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and the plethora of other social media platforms are all there for us to use, but that comes at a cost. We share our intimate moments. We share where we are, when we're away from home, when we're going on holiday, and often leave very easy breadcrumbs on exactly what we're doing, and when we're out, and where to find us. We share details that we wouldn't share with friends or family face to face, but saving them in a public forum is acceptable for millions of us. These posts, and images stay there forever. We think so little of our own private information that we give away lots of our information for free, without even thinking about it.

The inter-connectivity of devices also throws up additional concerns. We login to everything, on everything. Our phones have Facebook, our Facebook is used as a logon tool for many other services. We input our date of birth to gain access, our e-mails, our interests, likes, hobbies, names, friends, and more at an increasing rate. Our entire lives are online somewhere. Where people feel more at home with their mobile devices, we also login to our banks, and provide our financial information. The level of trust that we put into our devices, and the amount of digital data that we're inputting to those devices is increasing, drastically.

Governments, Internet Service Providers, advertisers, corporations, organizations, hackers, and cybercriminals, all want a piece of that pie. The technology has crept up on us quickly and only more recently have people come to accept that data should be considered a form of currency.

Whether it be to protect data from cybercriminals - or the government - the only way to be truly secure is for people to take control of their own digital footprints. Due to the value of personal data, everyone should make efforts to protect it. The sad truth is, that because that data is so valuable everyone is trying to get at it, but fewer are trying to protect it.

Personal cybersecurity

The first thing that people must realize is that mobile devices are just as vulnerable, if not more so, than PCs. In addition, the gap between Apple and Android has closed and now it is common to find malware for both. In fact, in some ways the Open Source nature of Android (as opposed to Apple's proprietary closed source environment) is allowing for encryption apps to pop up at a faster rate: things change.

These days, malware, viruses, spyware, and trojans all offer hackers methods for intercepting data - and their availability online to ‘script kiddies' means that cybercrime is at epidemic levels. The result is an elevated risk of fraud, loss of earnings - and perhaps worst of all - identity theft. For these reason, people need to take personal cybersecurity seriously and must seek to protect themselves and their devices. The most basic step is to make sure that the apps we install on our devices are secure, and that we always update them with the latest security patches and updates.

Third party and untrusted apps might be tempting, but the reality is that they could be malevolent. For this reason, people should to stick to trusted apps from known vendors and app stores. Even on official distributors such as Google Play Store it is possible to come across malicious apps.

For this reason people should take extreme care when downloading apps. Before you agree to install the app, check the permissions carefully. If the app wants access to things it doesn't really need then think twice before installing it. Why does a torch app want access to your GPS location and all of your contacts? If the requests don't seem reasonable simply don't download the app.

Remember that data is a currency, so if an app says it is ‘free' maybe you are actually paying with your data? In some cases, it might be worth paying a pound for a torch app that only requires access to the light on your phone, than to accept the free one that wants access to your entire device.

The Big Public WiFi Threat

Alongside smart devices, which allow us to be connected non-stop, in recent years there has been an explosion in the availability of public internet hotspots. Those hotspots provide high speed connectivity when people are out and about. The advantage of logging onto public connections is that people get to save their mobile data (if they have data limits).

What many people might not realize, however, is that public WiFi can be a security risk. When connected to public networks people's devices are vulnerable to having their data intercepted by another user that is logged onto the same router. This problem is the same on any WiFi - including shared home networks - so if you live in a big house where a lot of people regularly take the password from the router - you could also be at risk. The best solution for the problem is a VPN service.

A VPN service encrypts all the data between a phone, or tablet, and the VPN's servers. The result is that nobody on a public WiFi (or even on a fake hotspot controlled by a cybercriminal) can ‘sniff' the subscriber's data, as that data is encrypted.

The best VPNs provide strong military grade OpenVPN encryption, but many don't. With different levels of protection, and different services providing different benefits (and disadvantages), what you're specifically looking for can change the VPN service that you are looking for. Do you want faster speed, but are willing to accept a smaller number of geo locations, or do you need security at all costs, including speed and price? As such, it's important to do research about which VPN to use.

Other Levels of Protection

McAfee, Norton, AVG. At the launch of the internet, it's rare that individuals would have been desperate for anti-virus. There simply weren't as much malicious code flying around, but now, with an always-on internet antivirus is no longer seen as that "additional level of security that might sometimes help", or for those who delve more often into virus rife areas of the net. Now, things are different. It's rare for new computers, and new operating systems to not include some form of anti-virus, even for a month's trial while you set your computer up ensuring that you're not infected at this vital stage of life of your computer.

Not only is antivirus an integral part of your computer system, but firewalls are also included in the same package to help keep your computer safe. The problem arises that we're using our PCs, and our Laptops less and less, and using our mobile phones, and tablets more and more. There's a huge disconnect between the level of security on our larger devices, and our mobile phones, but we're still storing our intimate data on unprotected devices.

This could be a bit more understandable if protective services weren't easily available for mobile devices. Antivirus, firewalls, and password protection are just as available for devices, and the larger firms often provide multi-device deals, permitting several devices to be covered by the same services.

As well as more digital based protection, there's a large amount of physical ways to protect the data on our phones as well. Phone manufacturers are constantly in an evolutionary arms race with chancers who find new back-door entrances into devices. This has led to an increase in the amount of protection required to unlock a phone. Rather than just a pin, we now have patterns, passwords, swipe to unlock, fingerprint scans, google sign-ins. These simple methods help to keep that data secure from prying hands.

Our data, and our lives are much more mobile than they were before. Keeping up with that level of change is not only important: it's imperative.

Several voices both inside and outside the smartphone industry have been quoted saying that handsets have reached the pinnacle of their evolution in their current form. Today, smartphones are more powerful than the average desktop PC was a few years ago, millions of times faster than the computers used to send a man to the moon. At the same time, statistics have shown that the majority of smartphone owners don't even use a fraction of their handsets' processing power. The majority of smartphone owners use them to play games, known to be the most demanding type of smartphone apps, but most of the time these games are simple, casual titles, mobile pokie games, word games, and their likes, hardly a challenge for even a two-year-old handset.

Considering the lack of exciting news on the smartphone market, and the release of a great variety of high-performance and affordable smartphone models, it seems safe to say that we should reconsider our future smartphone purchases and focus on accessibility rather than hype.

Samsung Galaxy S7, the best example

Samsung's Galaxy S7 was surrounded by a lot of excitement before its release in February 2017. When it hit the shelves, though, users couldn't hide their disappointment with the handset. Compared to the previous year's flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S6, the S7 failed to produce any significantly new and exciting features. It had the same size screen with the same resolution and pixel density, it had a slightly faster system-on-a-chip, a newer GPU, it had 1GB of extra RAM and a slightly improved performance. In short, nothing that would've justified switching from the Galaxy S6 to the Galaxy S7.

Now let's take a look at another Samsung model released in 2016, the J7. Compared to the same Galaxy S6, it brought forth several improvements, including a newer chipset, a larger screen, a dedicated MicroSD slot (the S6 didn't have one), FM radio (something many of us still appreciate today), a larger battery with longer battery life, and a price tag that made it much more affordable at the time than the previous year's flagship model. In short, a phone with enough performance to be a perfect choice for everyday use, without the need to sell an arm and a leg to buy it.

The performance gap

The performance gap between "affordable" and "flagship" handsets becomes narrower every year. One of this year's more affordable smartphone models, the Galaxy A7 (2017), has a price tag almost $300 lower than any of last year's Samsung flagships, coupled with a performance that's not too different compared to these models. An average user will surely not notice the difference in performance between the two but welcome the price difference nonetheless.

Considering all of the above, I think it's safe to say that we shouldn't focus on flagship models anymore. They might be the ones surrounded by the biggest hype in the press but this doesn't make them the right ones for us - and they shouldn't be the models we desire the most.

With the number of applications and basic functionality only increasing, people are spending more and more time on their smartphones.

Checking your email and instant messages, surfing the Internet, watching videos, posting on social media sites, and playing video games can be great pastimes and studies have shown today's smartphone users in the United States are doing all of that, spending about one-third of their waking hours on the phone. Unfortunately, most of this activity is not very productive, but there are ways to turn it all around and get your smartphone working for you.

In fact, there are literally dozens of smartphone apps on the market where users can earn real money and rewards, instead of just wasting time.

Live Life On The Go

Imagine an app that paid you for going about the business of your day and chronicling your activity the same way you already do on social media.

Gigwalk' is such an app for iOS and Android users. This app pays you to do things like visit certain retail outlets or restaurants in your area. The catch is you might have to take pictures or make videos about the experience, but if you're as active on social media as most smartphone users, you're probably already doing that anyway.

Play Online Poker

Playing online poker is one of the original ways to earn money on the Internet. Considered a skill game more than just a gamble, there's millions of dollars being fought over on online poker sites every week.

Online poker giant PokerStars offers a full slate of mobile apps to help you brush up on your poker skills and play the game on the go. There may be some risk involved, but the rewards can be plentiful.

Watch Videos

If you're interested in the latest games and apps for your smartphone, you might already be watching promotional videos without getting paid for it. ‘AppTrailers' can make sure that never happens again. This app offers users credits for watching videos of different app promotions, including videos from some of the most popular video game designers in the market today, like EA and Rovio.

The app is free and the more videos you watch the more points you earn and the points are redeemable for things like PayPal cash and Amazon Gift Cards.

‘The Watch & Earn' app is another option. This app gives users coins for watching promotional app videos as well as downloading the apps themselves. The coins can be traded in for gift cards from places including Amazon and Google Play, as well as PayPal cash.

Download Apps

If you're downloading and checking out all the latest apps for your smartphone already, there's no reason not to get paid for it. ‘AppBounty' pays out gift cards to users who download the apps it suggests. The rewards include gift cards for the Playstation Network, XBox, and iTunes among others.

Similarly, ‘Tap Cash Rewards' hands out Skype, Google Play, and Target gift cards to users who download apps and log in every day.

‘Cash Gift - Free Gift Cards' is another free app that takes earning money by downloading apps to the next level. Not only does the app offer the opportunity to earn by downloading apps and watching promotional videos, but it will pay you for completing certain tasks as well. ‘Cash Gift - Free Gift Cards' offers gift cards for the Google Play Store, Amazon and PayPal and the app claims it has paid out more than $1 million in cash to users already.

Take Surveys

They say opinions are like noses, as everybody has one. Apps like ‘Survey Mini' and ‘Surveys On The Go' can make sure you get paid for them.

‘Survey Mini' helps users earn money by answering survey questions about locations they go to. It works in conjunction with the GPS on your smartphone.

In the meantime, ‘Surveys On The Go' hosts a number of surveys about the latest TV shows and movies, or specific products and shopping experiences.

In a prediction made in 2013, Gartner had declared that the Windows Mobile OS will cross the iOS in terms of market share by 2017. It is 2017, the results are out and the Microsoft's Windows Mobile OS is currently sitting at the third position with 0.3% of the market share while Apple's iOS continues to occupy the second position with 17.9% market share. As always, Android sits at the top with an overwhelming 81.7% market share. Note that all of the statistics mentioned here are based on Q4 2016 results only.

It is actually quite sad to see that Blackberry's market share isn't even there. We kid you not! It's actually not there (0.0%) as you can see in the screenshot above. iOS managed to make a 0.2% improvement in a quarterly comparison with Q4 2015, while Android gained an additional 1% in the same comparison. As 99.6% of all new smartphones sold in the last quarter happens to be either an iPhone or an Android powered smartphone, it is pretty safe to say that unless something miraculous happens, this is how the market will stay like for the foreseeable future.

Andy Rubin is one of the major names associated with the initial development of the Android OS and he even handled the OS for Google, before he left the company in 2014. After leaving Google, Andy Rubin started a company named Playground Global, which acted as a tech incubator. According to recent reports, he is associated in the development of an upcoming high-end smartphone. His second company, named Essential Products Inc. will be launching the smartphone in question, along with "a suite of consumer hardware products, including ones for the mobile and smart home."

Although much isn't revealed about this surprise smartphone in the making, but the report does mention that it will sport a bezel-less display, as well as a modular design similar to what we saw with the Moto Z or the LG G5. The magnetic connector used for the modularity is said to be propriety, although selective third party enhancements will be supported. A spherical high-resolution 360-degree camera will be one of the first modular upgrade options for the phone, developed by Essential Products themselves.

Other specifications that we know of include a ceramic back, a metal frame, a 5.7-inch or bigger pressure sensitive edgeless display and a release date that's set somewhere near the middle of the year. Did this get you interested or do you think it will be "just another smartphone?"

It's Christmas and we have less than a week left in the year now. Given that no new smartphones will be released this year anymore, let us take a quick look at the three absolute best smartphones that were launched in 2016. Let us know if you are using any of these beasts in the comments section below. Keep in mind that phones such as the Mi Mix were kept out of the list because they are simply not available anywhere outside China as of now.

OnePlus 3T

The OnePlus 3 was an excellent flagship device with the all-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and a whopping 6GB of RAM, available at half the price of most flagships from big boys like Samsung or LG. The OnePlus 3T keeps everything that was brilliant about the OnePlus 3 and adds an even more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, 13% more battery (3,450mAh), a much better front camera sensor and a 128GB option at a modest price of $439 (64GB).

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

The S7 and S7 Edge are a bit old now, but they still are among the absolute best that 2016 had to offer. The curved Quad High Definition Super AMOLED display on the S7 Edge is quite simply beautiful and arguably the best in the business.

Google Pixel Phones

When it comes to software and actual user experience, you just cannot beat the Pixel and the Pixel XL. Owners of these two smartphones will experience the epitome of what the latest Android OS has to offer. It also helps that these are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chip, beautiful AMOLED displays and Google Assistant; which is arguably the most enhanced virtual assistant ever to make a public debut.

Looking for a phone upgrade? Not satisfied with the mobile releases of 2016? Well, that's not a problem as 2017 will be promising in terms of new mobile releases! Only a few more days or months to wait, until the mobile beasts of 2017 are revealed. Let's see what 2017 has in reserve for us.

Once you go apple, you never go back! Apple will be back with the IPhone 8 in 2017, to celebrate its 10th anniversary impressively. Planned to be on the market in September 2017, IPhone 8 and IPhone 8 Plus, could be the most fundamental up to date phones. Apple will be making changes to the phones' designs and the software. In terms of design, the IPhone 8 is planned to be a single sheet of glass with an edge-to-edge OLED screen. Also, it would seem that at least one release of Apple's IPhones for 2017, will have a glass body. The Touch ID will be hidden within the glass, and the Home Button will be non-existent.

HTC lovers will not be disappointed as well! HTC is planning to release the HTC 11 in March/April 2017. An early leak confirmed that the mobile might have a Snapdragon 835 processor, RAM of 8 GB, a storage capacity of 256 GB and a 5.5in Quad- HD Screen. That is indeed lots of expectation... Let's hope that rumours have it right!

As for LG, it is rumoured that the G6 will be released in late 2017, and it could adopt a glass rear and front. The most interesting features it can have is an iris scanner that uses a similar sensor as the phone's front camera, which will be awesome.

Samsung will be back stronger in 2017, to mend its reputation after the Galaxy Note 7 crisis. The Samsung Galaxy s8 has been scheduled to be shown to the world in February 2017 during the MCW tradeshow. Rumours has it that the design will be changed, and the home button might be gone. It could as well be the fastest phone with a top of the range processor.

It looks like technology lovers will have a hard choice to make in 2017 while buying a mobile phone, with the possible new releases. A slow smartphone leads to frustration, whether you're booting up an online game or checking your text messages. However, you don't have to give up on your phone just because it's gotten a little lethargic. Instead, try these safe, simple hacks to make your smartphone faster.

Remove Transition Animations

You might have noticed that your iPhone produces animated transitions between screens. While these animations might seem simple, they can slow down your phone when you need its memory most. Fortunately, you can disable animations in iOS 7, which will free up memory for other tasks. This process will also remove the parallax effects from icons and other on-screen graphics.

Find the settings app on your iPhone, click on the General tab, and find the menu labeled Accessibility. Just tap the Reduce Motion option. It will shift from off to on, disabling animations. Restart the device to apply the change. Now your phone can devote its resources to games, apps, texting, and streaming instead of delivering flashy animations on the interface.

Clear Your Phone's Memory

Even though the Apple iPhone 7 features 32GB of memory, you might need to clear the memory to make space for new data. In older versions of iOS, you had to factory reset the device to clear the memory. That meant losing all of your contacts, game progress, text messages, and call logs. However, the latest versions give you a shortcut that doesn't put your valuable data at risk.

First, back up your phone to the iCloud after connecting to Wi-Fi. Consider doing this once a month or so to protect your data. Next, hold down the Sleep button for several seconds. The screen for shutting down your smartphone should appear. Release the Sleep button and hold down the Home button. When the Home screen comes up, you'll know that you've successfully flushed your iPhone's memory.

Move Your Photos to External Storage

If you don't want to clear your phone's memory entirely, but your device seems sluggish, consider shifting your photos and other files to the cloud or external storage. You can do this with both iOS and Android devices. Simply connect your device to your computer, external hard drive, or the cloud, find where your photos are stored on your phone, and move them over to the other device.

Many people take hundreds of photos every month with their smartphones. Clearing them out will make more storage space for future photos, and you won't consume as much of your smartphone's memory, which should make the device run faster.

Remove Unused Files and Apps

Running too many apps can turn your smartphone into a sluggish machine. You might have downloaded many apps since you bought the phone, then never even used some of them. Take a tour through your apps list and delete any that you no longer use.

Next, go through your photo and video files. In addition to moving them to other storage, you can also delete files that you no longer want. Blurry photos, dark videos, and other undesirable files often linger on smartphones even though they'll never be posted on Facebook, printed out, sent to friends, or even looked at again.

Delete the Browser Cache

If you use your smartphone to browse the internet, delete the browser cache every week or two. The cache files take up significant space on your smartphone's hard drive, which can slow it down. You can empty the browser cache no matter which browser you use. Typically, you'll enter the browser settings and find the History menu. From there, you can delete the cache and anything else you no longer need.

Keep in mind that your smartphone might even store browser information from other devices if they're connected on the same Wi-Fi network. If you use your home computer, tablet, or other devices to surf the web, delete the browser caches on all devices to help them run faster.

Don't spend all day staring at loading screens or waiting for your browser to catch up. Instead, try these suggestions to make your smartphone faster and more convenient.

Quite a few of you may argue that smartphones don't really need 6GB of RAM and it might even be true in some cases. However, the fact is that they are here and some months down the line, even more models with 6GB RAM will start making appearances. That being said, if you want to feel the absolute sense of supremacy that comes with owning one of these beasts, here are the ones that we would recommend.

OnePlus 3 ($399)

There is no two way about it, the OnePlus 3 is a real flagship killer with its beastly specs and the Oxygen OS, which runs pretty close to stock Android. Apart from the 6GB of RAM, the OnePlus 3 also sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip (2.15GHz), Adreno 530 GPU, 3,000mAh battery, brilliant 16-mp/8-mp rear and front cameras, a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and 64GB of non-expandable storage. At this price, you will probably have a hard time finding a better phone to be honest.

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe ($499 for 64GB/6GB)

The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe is another flagship smartphone with specs similar to the OnePlus 3, but a slightly larger 5.7-inch 1080p display. The beautifully made phone feels as premium as it looks. Internal storage options include 64GB/128GB/256GB variants, but the Zenfone 3 Deluxe also offers a micro-SD card slot. It has a larger rear camera sensor of 23-megapixels as compared to the OnePlus 3, but we all know that megapixels do not determine the actual quality of the photograph.

LeEco LeMax 2 (Around $400 for 64GB/6GB)

This is the only smartphone on this list that sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD display and it instantaneously makes this a winner in the display department. Based on Android Marshmallow 6.0 and LeEco's own EUI, the Le Max 2 is a beautiful device. However, it doesn't support expandable storage, nor does it have a headphone jack unfortunately. The 21-megapixel camera is quite a capable one and the front camera is better than most of the competition. The 3,000 mAh battery is a decent performer, considering that it powers the flagship SD 820 CPU, along with the Quad HD 5.7-inch panel.
