Just after a day when Xiamoi unveils details about its 64-megapixel camera phone, Realme also had details to tell about its upcoming smartphone. At its camera innovation press conference in New Delhi on Thursday, the company revealed that it will be launching a smartphone equip with a quad-camera 64-megapixel lens in India before Diwali, which means before October 27.


Realme didn't share any specs but the Chinese smartphone company did reveal that it is using Samsung's ISOCELL bright GW1 sensor for the upcoming 64-MP camera phone. The upcoming Realme 5 and Realme5 Pro will also feature the quad-camera setup with a 64-MP primary shooting lens. There are reports of Realme working together with Samsung for a long time, even before ISOCELL bright GW1 went into production.


The company said, "We have been working closely with Samsung ISOCELL and created prototypes to start our development and testing work before GW1 was manufactured. Our goal was to make a camera with the highest resolution in the market,"


Realme further announced that the quad-camera setup will include a super wide-angle, 2x telephoto lens, ultra macro photography and expert m "The new Full-Function Quad Camera System on our smartphones will be packed with various features like Ultra Resolution, Super Wide Angle, Ultra Macro and Ultra Nightscape to provide our users an excellent camera experience," Meanwhile, Xiaomoi on Wednesday announced that it will launch a 64-MP camera phone under the Redmi brand in India. The company is also planning to bring a 100-MP camera phone under the MI-brand.
