Samsung has launched the Galaxy Fold in the US, and so far there are no big complaints. The company is also offering free screen replacement within the guarantee validation time period for the consumer which is rare offer for such an expensive device. The device was due on April earlier this year, but since the company had to review the design due to its complete PR disaster.
The phone was handover to some of the reputed journalists to review the phone but instead the phone broke and couldn't even survive for two days. Samsung spend all this time to repair and revise the design to integrity of the foldable screen. The phone has a 4.6-inch external display when folded and a 7.3-inch screen revealed when it is unfolded like a tablet. In other words, it's a smartphone tablet hybrid and onus is on Samsung to convince potential customers to convince that the Galaxy Fold justify its price tag.
The first thing you see when you unbox the Fold is a care instruction manual which among other warnings, alerts you to not to put excessive pressure to the screen. After some time of using the fold, you may see some crease at the center of the screen when watching the video but it is not too much distracting and may take some time for you to get used to it. Samsung is also offering the special support at no extra charge. You can contact the Samsung experts through a phone call or video chat. They will come to your home or your office according to your convenience. Even if there is no problem so far, the phone is expensive and it will be hard to sell.
