Samsung Exec Confirms Release Date for Galaxy S5 will be at MWC 2014

Samsung's Head of Design Team for their IT & Mobile Communications division today confirmed to Korean web site inews24 that Samsung will unveil its flagship phone Galaxy S5 release date is taking place at the Mobile World Congress next month.

Mr Chang also commented on some of the rumoured Galaxy S5 features, including flexible display technology. He said that the said feature is "currently under review" and he did not confirm whether the feature will make it to the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date. Previous reports stated that Samsung and LG may not be able to release a smartphone with flexible display early this year as the technology is still being developed. However, companies may release a version packed curved flexible display later this year.

MWC 2014 debuts on February 24 in lovely Barcelona, so we're not that far away from finding out if the Galaxy S5 will be announced there. Of course, 'till then, CES 2014 kicks off next week, albeit Samsung will probably not reveal any new smartphones at this show, except the Galaxy Gear 2.
