Remember the Lg E900.. Thats the C900 More Attractive design and Windows phone 7 too Not sure if LG will release 2 Windows phone 7 devices or they have changes the Name and the design as well for their WP7 device. LG C900 is rumored to pack a 1GHz QSD8650 Snapdragon core, which is supposed to be the same as the E900's one. The rest of the known specs are a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen, all-round connectivity, 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB port. And one more thing, the device should be heavy because its body is seriously all-metal.

Microsoft Developer training has published this video discussing the built-in security features of Windows Phone 7. While the device has the basic ability to enforce a PIN and other user policies, the primary security feature is the Isolated storage, enforced by the operating system, which means one malicious application will not be able to read the data of another, except by going through vetted launchers and pickers.

The OS does however lack an encrypted file system, but the OS does come with many build-in encryption algorithms which does make it easy for developers to keep user data safe even if the handset falls in the wrong hands.

Here is a video showing the calendar app in Windows phone 7.

Of note is the ability to have multiple calendars from various sources, colour coded, and to be able to set appointments for any of these calendars. Also shown is the date and time picker, which looks uniquely Windows Phone 7.

Today a video Released online demoing the email client in Windows Phone 7, but unfortunately made the grave mistake of saying the software did not support HTML email.

A developer concerned that this misconception will spread across the internet has sent us this video (which we uploaded, apologies for the rotation) showing how HTML e-mail is handled in Windows Phone 7, and also showing the simple process of searching e-mail.

Both are handled in exactly the same way as on Windows Mobile, in particular the user still has to request to download pictures an annoying but security conscious feature in Windows Phone 7 which we have covered here previously.

In a surprisingly information-packed interview at Microsoft's X'10 event in Toronto, RGBFilter managed to get the Microsoft rep, Greg Milligan, Mobility Solutions Manager. Microsoft Canada to admit to quite a scoop.

The rep confirmed that real time phone to Console gaming was coming over WIFI to Windows Phone 7 in the near future. He also revealed that games were coming where mini-games on the phone will unlock functionality in games on the console.

Of interest was the price range suggested by Greg in the $1.99 to $2.99 range, which is much lower that expected for Microsoft's Xbox Live titles.
also was that your game invites will show up as avatars of your friends on your tile, which is a pretty great feature.

Following up to some previous thoughts about Windows Phone 7, we present a short video showing how the browsing experience on the upcoming smartphone platform compares to iPhone and Android 2.2. Please note that the device shown in the video is not final Windows Phone 7 hardware or software. The hardware isn't meant to be released, and the software is still a work in progress. We're just doing this for fun. Video Below Enjoy!

Microsoft have been putting a lot of work into their app store for the forthcoming launch of Windows 7, no doubt realizing what an important part it will play in determining the success or failure of the platform as a whole. The developer tools Microsoft have made available so far have been downloaded more than 300,000 times according to the company. The dev tools are still be worked on though with the final release build due on 16th September. Microsoft are saying, however, that apps built using the beta tools shouldn't need too much tweaking.

In terms of actually submiting apps to the store early Octobe is being bandied around as the date, which of course ties in nicely with the speculation of a late October launch for the platform as a whole. The apps for Windows Phone 7 will be relying very much on Silverlight and XNA and Microsoft is stressing that this should allow devs to port apps over without too much hassle. Of course the fact that Microsoft are paying devs to create apps for their new platform probably removes some of the hassle too!

Windows phone 7 Devices keeps leaking around... this is the latest one and the first one from LG. the E900 with windows phone 7 UI and only one button below the 3.5-inch screen. Also a videos to show off this device has leaked to (Watch Video below). The device look great and attractive but No words or info on its specs yet!

Although Apple has been the dominant player in the recent tablet market, many manufacturers have been spending R+D dollars playing catch-up. Although many agree that a fully fledged operating system like Windows 7 would be difficult to adapt into a fully touch-based interface model, the designers at UI Centric are currently developing a promising looking solution.

Their user interface, codenamed "Macallan", looks to be an up-an-coming solution to the potential Windows 7 adaptation issue. With native multitasking, flash support and full camera functionality the impressive featureset of this upstart is targeting the iPad head-on. Combining these features with a very slick interface, UI Centric also states that a "major manufacturer" will be shipping their product in Q3 of this year.

While harnessing the abilities of a fully-fledged Windows 7 based deployment, Macallan simplifies navigation and usage into a similar, yet discrete, paradigm. Users familiar with iOS may be taken aback by the minimalist approach, but users should find themselves at home as the UI looks quite intuitive at first glance.
