Galaxy S5 Neo Gets Nougat

30 August, 2017 Samsung Updates

In spite of the Galaxy S5 Neo being quite old at this point, Samsung has decided that it's still worth some serious love. Everyone was expecting the Android 7.0 Nougat update for a while now and it's finally out. In fact, it has been out and about for more than a day now so excuse me for the slightly delayed report. Of course this would be the last major OS upgrade that the S5 Neo will ever get officially form Samsung, but that doesn't mean it won't continue to receive the monthly security updates because phones much older than the S5 Neo are still getting those fortunately.

The firmware version of the update is G903WVLU1CQH4 and Canada is the first country to receive it. It has now been a day, so if you own a Galaxy S5 Neo and you are getting the update in some other region, do tell us in the comments. In the meanwhile, head over to our firmware section to find all the latest available updates for your Samsung smartphones and tablets.
