LG's New CineBeam Q Promises Portable 4K Movie Viewing

LG recently announced the upcoming launch of its newest portable projector, the CineBeam Q. First unveiled during CES 2024, the projector boasts 4K-resolution projection technology, in addition to a rather handy design that allows it to be used just about anywhere at home.

In addition to its 4K UHD projection capabilities, the CineBeam Q allows users to project images of up to 120 inches, with a 450,000:1 contrast ratio and 154 percent coverage (overall) of the DCI-P3 color gamut. There's also a 360-degree rotatable handle that makes it easier to position wherever you want (provided that there's a surface to project your content on).

As with most new electronic devices these days, the projector also packs built-in Wifi connectivity, allowing it to connect to streaming services such as Netflix and Prime Video. The CineBeam Q runs on the LG webOS platform, and also allows users to share content from their smart devices via AirPlay 2 and Miracast.

The LG CineBeam Q will be available for pre-orders from March 18 with exclusive benefits, with a global release starting in South Korea this month with planned availability for more markets including the US, Canada, Australia, Germany, Spain, France, UK, several countries in Asia and the Gulf region from April.
