Lenovo gets into handheld gaming with the Legion Go

Gaming laptops are great if you are constantly on the go but still want to play your games, but sometimes it's just not practical to lug it around with you. If you're interested in gaming on the go, then Lenovo could have something for you. During IFA 2023, the company announced the Legion Go.

The Legion Go is similar to other handhelds that have been launched in recent years, like the Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally. The Legion Go will come with an 8.8-inch QHD+ PureSight display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It supports up to 144Hz refresh rates and offers up to 500 nits of brightness.

Under the hood, the Legion Go is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and AMD's RNDA Graphics and comes with up to 16GB of RAM, along with up to 1TB of storage that can be further expanded up to 2TB via an expansion slot. It also boasts removable controllers on the side, similar to consoles like the Nintendo Switch, along with a 49.2Wh battery.

Lenovo has also equipped the console with its Coldfront thermal technology and a liquid crystal polymer 79-blade fan that helps keep the device cool even under heavy loads. The best part is that it runs Windows 11, which means that in theory, you should be able to play all your PC games as long as they support gaming controllers.

As for pricing, the Lenovo Legion Go is priced starting at $700 and will be available for purchase this October.
