MediaTek's Dimensity 9300 Makes its Debut in Vivo's X100 Series Phones
Following the launch of MediaTek's latest high-powered mobile SoC not too long ago, Vivo finally announced its newest flagship Android phones, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro. In addition to some impressive hardware components, the phone also marks the first appearance of the Dimensity 9300 in a commercially-available smartphone.
Aside from the Dimensity 9300 chip inside, the X100 handsets share some similarities, such as curved 6.78-inch AMOLED screens with 1260p resolution and a variable 120Hz refresh rate, and a rather similar design overall, which features a large circular camera module in the rear panel's center, a design element that's common on a lot of smartphones these days.
Both devices also come with Vivo's custom OriginOS, which is based on Android 14 and comes with some Vivo-exclusive apps and third-party software.
There are some notable differences though - for one, the X100 Pro does feature a triple-camera setup with a 1-inch Sony IMX989 main sensor, as well as a telephoto lens certified by Zeiss APO. Meanwhile, the base model X100 comes with a 50MP IMX920 main sensor, a 64MP 1/2" telephoto sensor, and an ultrawide lens.
As for battery specs, the regular X100 model packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging, while its Pro sibling omes with a slightly larger 5,400 mAh battery with 100W charging support, as well as 50W wireless fast charging. Both phones are currently exclusive for Chinese markets.
