HMD Global launched Nokia 8.3 today in an online event that was shown on Nokia's official YouTube channel. The phone is a big leap of faith for the company. The phone appears alongside the black female James Bond in no time to die, while also using the 5G. The device offers pretty much all flagship features with the mid-range price tag, which is by far the most happening category of the mobile industry in 2020. But delaying this phone result in stiff competition from Samsung and iPhone.

The Nokia 8.3 emerged as a flagship smartphone with 5G network connectivity while the Nokia 9 series seemingly disappeared with most of the market dominated by budget-friendly smartphones. It is a big phone with an aluminum core and Gorilla glass with a metalization process used to create the colors of the rear panel called polar night. There are small bezels at the bottom of the display, although we appreciate the curves to the rear side which make it fit in one hand nicely. To keep the back clean, they have put the fingerprint scanner on the side which looks okay.

There is a separate Google Assistant button on the left-side and placed opposite to the fingerprint scanner. There is a 3.5-mm headphone jack on the bottom of the phone with only one speaker. The phone has a 6.81-inch LCD with a 60Hz display refresh rate. Nokia 8.3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G and comes in two models with 6 and 8GB RAM. The phone comes with 64 and 128GB storage internal storage that is further expandable via microSD.

Nokia 8.3 uses a quad-camera system with 64MP main (16MP photos), f/1.89 as a primary camera lens, 12MP ultra-wide, f/2.2 secondary, 2MP macro lens with f/2.4, and a 2MP depth camera lens. The front camera is of a 24MP lens with f/2.0. There is no optical zoom in this camera, but you can pinch up to 10x zoom if you can afford a picture with less quality.
