Plex app hits Google TV platform

Streaming media service Plex has launched a Google TV version, putting its IPTV content on the latest version of Google smart TV platform. All of the channels from the Android version of Plex are present, and the company says the majority of content will play, even with Google TV limited transcoding support.

The one omission is the remote control functionality, which means you will not be able to control your laptop playback from the Google TV interface. Considering that was really intended to turn an Android phone into a remote.
