Samsung TE4 device with Cortex A15 and Mali T604 Appeared on benchmark

Mysterious Samsung TE4 device has appeared in rightware's benchmark database, causing quite a stir as it popped up with an ARM Mali-T604 graphics processor, indicating an Exynos 5-series processor with ARM Cortex-A15 cores. Given that TC4 is the coding for Samsung's tablet reference platform, through which it demonstrates its Exynos 4 chips prowess, that TE4 development board has to stand for something else.

The device sports a 1280x752 pixels of resolution, to which we have to add the on-screen Android navigational buttons, and the cores are clocked at 1.7GHz, just like on the officially announced dual-core Exynos 5250. It is highly unlikely that the device is a tablet, then, like the WQXGA monster Samsung demonstrated to us at the CES expo in January, as the company wouldn't waste all that graphics power on such a run-of-the-mill tablet resolution.
