The Vivo X50 pro is the first phone this year in the X-series after a very long time. The last phone in the X series was the Vivo X21 and it was launched two years ago in 2018. The new Vivo X50 pro aims to the people who use the mobile phone to take pictures and shot videos a lot. The phone features a stabilization technology of its kind that eliminates the need for any external gimbal to shot stable videos without any shakiness or blurriness appear due to the hand or body movement. It also improves the still photography.

The Vivo X50 Pro is a stylish phone with a pretty good build quality. It feels premium and quite sturdy while holding in the hands. Vivo X50 has opted for a curved display with thin bezels all around, which gives it an edge-to-edge display impression. At first, you might think of it as a similar design as of Samsung devices due to curved display but that's all. Vivo has adopted a thin, metallic frame for the device, which is something similar to the curved design and the curved rear glass panel. The phone looks slim and sleek. It may get cold to touch in a cold room due to its body. Vivo uses Schott's Xensation Up glass on the front and rear side of the phone to give it scratch protection. The power and volume buttons are easy to reach out to.

While the phone has curved sides, it sits well in the hands of users due to the flat top and bottom of the Vivo X50 pro. For connectivity, it uses a USB Type-C port, SIM tray, primary microphone, and speaker at the bottom side. The company has put the primary microphone close to the SIM tray which can be mistaken for the ejector sometimes. The phone is available in alpha grey color only and there is a slight shift in color when light bounces off the back panel. It has a matte, frosted finish which helps to hide any fingerprints or smudges you leave on the phone.

The Vivo X50 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 processor and probably the first phone to be launched in India with this processor. It supports 5G connectivity and available in 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage options. The device features a 6.56-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate with HDR+ certification. The phone has a quad-camera system with 48-megapixel primary camera and a gimbal stabilization feature. This feature is unique but we don't know so far that if it works or just a hype created by the company.
