LG is just about to release the world first smartphone with a dual-core CPU and, understandably is not shy to brag about it. Their latest promo video showcases the Optimus 2X calculation prowess, but also highlights a couple of interesting features of the handset HDMI port.

Unlike the previous HDMI-equipped Android smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X P990supports HDMI mirroring. This allows you to view the same thing on both your handset screen and your TV. The other thing of interest is the streaming of games that allows you to play Android games on your TV by using your handset as a controller.

The full HD video recording and improved multitasking capabilities also got their due spots in the pretty cool designed video.

As the clock is ticking until the beginning of this year CES, LG is preparing to unveil two more phones. The already known Tegra 2-packing Optimus 2X will be joined by the Optimus Black, also known as the LG B, that leaked less than a month ago.

The Optimus Black will feature ultra-slim design with "the best display clarity", supposedly being Apple Retina Display killer. So far it is unknown whether the device will be 4G enabled or which carrier will offer it. Whats for sure though is the 2MP front-facing camera.

The other Android handset thats going to be revealed at CES is Optimus 2X LTE-enabled twin, called LG Revolution. The device is probably going to be released in Verizon new LTE network and will remain US-only.

The recently unveiled LG Optimus 2X is about to hit the stores across Europe quite soon and along with the dual-core Tegra2 processor it will also have some exclusive Ennio Morricone content on board.

The famous Italian composer and is known for the movie soundtracks he wrote and now he will share part of them with the future owners of the upcoming LG Optimus 2X. The best news todays is the handset will actually start selling in Europe in January 2011.

Among the 25 pieces composed by Morricone there will also be 10 of the composer creations such as tracks from the movies Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, Love Affair. Whats more Optimus 2X users will get access to free applications with Ennio Morricone images and video clips from the LG Application Store.

LG have been on a bit of a roll recently in terms of wowing the tech press with ne whardware, especially when it comes to the LG Star/Optimus 2X. Anyhoo today Phandroid got their mits on some shots of a new LG device codenamed 'B'.

The device appears to be super thin, in a comparison with the 9.3mm iPhone 4 it leaves the latter looking like it needs to go on a diet. The screen is what is impressing most though because side by side with the iPhone 4 and the Galaxy S, both of which have received praise for their screens, the B looks astonishingly bright.

In case you could not tell B is the one in the middle of the picture. Yes, the one outshining the other two.

Best of all LG have confirmed that this thing is very much real and will be on show at CES.

Just hours after LG unveiling of the dual-core, Android-powered Optimus 2X, a different Android-powered LG superphone rocketed out of the rumor mill the LG B. In a totally out-of-character move, LG has gone ahead and confirmed the rumored handset existence.

In a tweet from LG official twitter account for CES 2011, someone from the company blasted out:

"seein is believin! The super slim & super bright “LG B” Android phone. come to #CES #CES11 and see with your own eyes!!"

Surely that was a mistake, deleted immediately thereafter, Nope. In fact they followed up that Tweet with at least four other messages directed at various bloggers Android fans, inviting them to check out the handset at a pre-CES party.
