Carbon - The New Backup for Android

If you're a fan of apps like Desk SMS and Clockwork Mod recovery, the man behind them both, Koushik Dutta has been teasing the community with betas of his newest entry, Carbon. Carbon is a cloud backup solution that pairs with your desktop, allowing you to fill up your Android device to the max and not worry about losing any precious photos or videos along the way.

Rooted devices will use the application natively, but if you're still unrooted you'll need to install the companion app on a desktop in order to use the cloud sync properly.

The free version is ad-supported, and lacks premium features like Android-to-Android sync, and Motorola users are left out in the cold completely from both versions, paid or otherwise.
