No pre-loaded Android N for the Samsung Galaxy Note 6?

8 June, 2016 Samsung

If you were looking forward to seeing the Galaxy Note 6 run on Android N right out of the box, we have bad news for you. A user agent profile of SM-N930A (presumably Note 6) has been leaked recently and it shows that the smartphone is still being tested on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. There was a rumor all around the internet that the upcoming Note will be one of the first smartphones to run on Android N and that could still be the case; it's just that the phone may not come with the next Android OS pre-loaded, like it was believed previously.

Considering that the Note 6 is due for a launch in early August, this agent profile snapshot should have shown us that Samsung was already working with a developer's version of Android N, if it WERE to be shipped with Android N of course. Nonetheless, since both the Note 6 and Android N are still a few months away from seeing public release, this isn't too much of a bad news to be honest. We are pretty sure that whatever be the case, the Note 6 will get the Android N update soon enough, especially since Samsung has drastically improved upon its update rollout speeds this year.
