POCO confirms M3 Pro 5G with 90Hz display and 5G

It's been six months already when POCO launched M3 and now the company has decided to come up with an upgraded version with 5G network capability. The vanilla M3 is relatively an entry-level smartphone. And even the 5G phone has almost similar specs. The biggest difference between the Pro version and standard version is its design.

The designers behind the smartphone have come up with an absolutely new design for the pro model. The camera module is, although, a vertical housing, but the large black rectangular design that used to feature the tiple camera setup has been removed. The M3 Pro has a new back cover design with two rounded shapes near the camera with the company's logo inside. While the standard phone has some leather-like material on the back, the Pro model uses a mirror-reflecting coating.

The Pro model has an LCD display with 1080 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The water drop selfie camera housing has been replaced with a hole-punch screen. The hole size is kind of large that a few users may not like much but considering it a 5G mobile phone with a 90Hz screen and smaller price tag, it could be ignored.

Now when it comes to the battery, the POCO M3 Pro uses the same battery as the M3, it only supports 18W charging power, but the box contains a 22.5w charger. 18w charging power is still slow to fill the 5000mAh battery. Half an hour charges to 35%, and one hour to charge to 67%. It takes 116 minutes to fully charge to 100%.Compared to the M3, this smartphone is just about 5G support and a higher refresh rate. Although you may like the design too. The phone is currently available for just $338 on Chinese E-commerce website and hopefully will hit the other regional markets soon.
