Reuters: Apple iPad mini launch date Confirmed 23,October

Today, Reuters confirmed in a report that Apple will apparently seek to upstage Microsoft Windows 8 surface tablet launch with an 23,October special event to announce the Apple iPad mini. Microsoft is expected to unveil its line of Microsoft Surface tablets on 26, October and Apple want to launch its mini tab first.

According to Reuters, Apple's tablet with the 7.85 inch screen will be priced to compete with the low priced 7 inch Android tablets like the Amazon Kindle Fire HD and the 8GB model of the Google Nexus 7. Both of those slates are priced at $199.
