Tether Your Android Phone using Hotspot Control App

15 April, 2013 Applications

Tethering an Android phone is quite useful for people who want to go to places where there is no free Wi-Fi and use their phone as a hotspot. This functionality is often cancelled by mobile carriers because tethering eats up a lot of data. For this reason, mobile carriers charge high fees for using this functionality.

However, lucky Android users can now enjoy tethering benefits by using an application called Hotspot Control app, which is one of the many applications that are used to tether an Android phone. Chainfire developed this application and is quite easy to use. What you do is to simply turn the Wi-Fi on, key-in the name and password and allow access. A good thing about this app is that you do not even need to root your phone to enjoy this function.

This application will work on any smartphone that runs on at least Android 4.0.3 and will eat up only as much as 80k space if you are keen on maintaining your phone's memory to a specific level.
