The Google Pixel 4: What Should You Expect?
The Google Pixel 4: What Should You Expect?
After months of rumours of wondering whether the Pixel 4 will feature a square camera bump on the rear or not, we finally have a sneak peek of what the Google Pixel 4 will look like. Interestingly, the ‘leak' this time came from none other than Google itself.
The company tweeted the first official picture of the much-awaited Pixel phone on its Twitter account, which goes by the name of "Made by Google". The leak was perhaps made because similar pictures of the Pixel 4 was already doing the rounds all over the web, and perhaps Google felt it best to come out with an official announcement on its own.
Now, fans are excited by the new radical design, perhaps as much as they like placing sports bets on Betway.
When will Pixel 4 be released?
Google Pixel 4 release date has still not been revealed, but going by the pattern, we estimate it to arrive in October. We do hope we don't have to wait that long though, especially since Google has gone ahead giving us a sneak peek of the phone a good four months or so before the actual launch.
How will Pixel 4 look?
Yes, there will be a square camera bump equipped on the rear of the Pixel 4 that will come with three rear cameras.
Interestingly, there seems to be a lack of a fingerprint scanner - something present in all the earlier models. Google wouldn't be doing away with an easier way to unlock your phone, though.
So, we might have an in-display scanner, voice recognition or face recognition feature - which we probably wouldn't know about till it's time for the official launch.
Additionally, the phone seems to have a small, in-ear speaker at the far edge of the frame. Google seems to have gone for a bottom-firing speaker this time, which you will find alongside the USB-C port. Predictably, the 3.5 mm headphone jack has been given a complete miss in this model, just like in Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 models.
Considering the fact that the front speakers have been done away with, the chin will become considerably thinner. While we don't know much about the screen bezels, we do expect them to be sharper than the Pixel 3.
What Will the Pixel 4 Specifications Be?
Analysts believe that the Pixel 4 will come armed with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 processor. It's still early days to call it for sure, but the base model plausibly will have non-expandable internal storage of 128 GB and a RAM of a minimum 6 GB.
Till now, Google has never really gone beyond 4 GB RAM, and a reason some Pixel users report lags.
On the software front - no surprises here; the Pixel 4 will have Android Q software installed. Some believe it will also feature IP68 water and dust resistance, fast charging batteries with higher capacity and wireless charging.
How much will Pixel 4 cost?
Compared to its earlier models, Pixel3 and 3XL, the price of the new Pixel 4 is expected to creep up to £900 to £1000 or AU$1500. The pricing will depend majorly on whether Google will go for 5G enabled phone or not; although the addition of this technology will have severe implications on its pricing and design. If Google decides to go for 5G enabled phones, the price may go beyond £1000. Which could still be more than okay for the successful bettors at Betway.
It's still early days, but the Pixel 4 does promise much. It's another question if it will be able to capitalize on the hype.
