Realme India is launching a new phone and has already started to sent out invites to the launch of the Realme X50 Pro 5G in India. The interesting thing here is that the device supports 5G connectivity and users have to pay for this extra feature, but there is no 5G in India yet. The 5G-enabled flagship smartphone will be launched in India on February 24 at an event in New Delhi at 2:30 PM IST. The company announced to release the phone at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on the same day. Since the event has already canceled due to mobile manufacturers leaving the event after the Coronavirus outbreak. Realme X50 Pro 5G will now make its debut at an online-only event.

Realme is proud to announce that India will have its first 5G smartphone, as it will be launched a day before the iQOO 35G in the country. While 5G support will undoubtedly make the Realme X50 Pro 5G future-poof. Although not many people would buy the phone just for this feature alone, this will be India's first 5G device. So far, there are three companies are ready for 5G trials, but commercial 5G rollout in the country seems a distant dream.

Realme X50 Pro 5G will be powered by Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 865 processor. Realme has also confirmed that the phone will have a 90Hz AMOLED display with dual-punch cameras, a 4500mAh battery, and 65W super dart fast charging technology. The screen is 6.5-inches and has 1080 x 2400 pixels. The device has corning gorilla glass. It has built-in 256GB storage and 12GB RAM. It has a quad-camera system that supports 64MP primary camera, 12MP, 8MP, and 2MP camera lenses. For the front camera, it uses a 32MP and 8MP camera lens. For security, the device uses fingerprint scanning technology.
