Google Nexus

A User Agent Profile has been found for the GT-i9260 which is believed to be the Samsung GALAXY Nexus 2. The profile shows a display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 and an ARM 11 processor under the hood.

There are some questions regarding the processor considering that ARM 11 processors aren't really new they have been used mostly in older smartponhes like the HTC G1. However, this might be some new type of ARM 11 as well, or just an old and dated entry, so we'll just have to for this one and see.

Nexus 7

The Chinese Government has barred the affordable 7 incher from landing in Chinese stores, and it seems this denial for the Asus-made Google tablet comes as a response to Google threatening to leave the country in 2010 as authorities wanted to censor more than Google thought possible.

The China government's negative attitude is interpreted as a response to Google's announcement of withdrawing from the China market in March 2010, the sources pointed out. It is difficult for the Nexus 7 to enter the China market, even through sale of Asustek's marketing network there, the sources indicated.

What's worse is news that without China, the projected sales of the Nexus 7 in 2012 might drop by more than a half - down from 8 million to merely 3.5 million devices.

Nexus 7

The Nexus 7 proved that it's great for overclocking a while ago when the Quad-Core Tegra 3 inside it got pushed to 1.6GHz. However, now the Nexus 7 has reached the screaming 2.0GHz, the kernel that do this can be found on the XDA forums (Source link).

The experimental kernel comes courtesy of Clemsyn, who has managed to get the quad-core Tegra 3 to its limit. The kernel isn't yet available for the general public, as its quite unstable and causes some issues.

Nexus 7 Google

The Nexus 7 has been just as popular as you'd expect for a powerhouse tablet that's priced at just $200. We've seen it selling out extremely fast both at retailers and though the Google Play Store, and now we've got some estimates for how many tablets Google may end up selling by the end of the year, if it can keep up the pace it has set early on.

Nexus 7

We need to say right from the start that these numbers are all based on estimates and shipping information, not actual sales numbers. According to a Digitimes report, TPK Holding & Wintek, the suppliers of Nexus 7 one glass solution (OGS) panels, shipped 1 million panels in June and 1.4 million in July.

The idea is then that it takes 2.5 weeks to produce and ship the Nexus 7 to Google. Given the sell-out rate of the tablets so far, the estimate is put at a conservative 4 weeks for Google to sell a batch of Nexus 7s. That would mean in Q3 alone, Google is on pace to have 4 million Nexus 7s shipped, and 3 million sold.  That means Q4 sales could be anywhere from 3-5 million, making 6-8 million in total by the end of the year.
