Galaxy Premier is on the left

We've heard before about the Samsung i9260 that was rumored to be the Galaxy Nexus II the next Samsung nexus deivce... Well, those rumors were NOT true. It's called the Samsung GALAXY Premier GT-i9260 and it's a very close version to the Galaxy S III.

Specs

The Samsung GALAXY Premier is set to become an upper-mid-range smartphone equipped with a 4.65" HD AMOLED screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core Exynos 5 processor, 8MP main camera and a 2MP front-facing one and the Premier should arrive with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.

Price

The GALAXY Premier is supposed to launch this quarter (Q4,2012), and it should cost about 480 EUR as it will be launching in Europe first.

The Samsung I9260 was rumored to be the Next Galaxy Nexus samrtphone, but there rumors weren't true. Instead it will be Named, Samsung GALAXY Premier I9260. The Premier sits somewhere between the Galaxy S III and the S III mini as a Mid-range smartphone.

GLBenchmark reports confirmed the GALAXY Premier specifications, It's powered by Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and 720p resolution exactly 1280 x 720 pixels. The CPU max frequency is listed as 1.5GHz, probably a Cortex-A9 Dual-core. Check the link below for the full Specifications of the Premier.

The GPU is a PowerVR SGX 544, very similar to the SGX543 found in Apple's latest chipsets. All of this plus some AnTuTu scores from last week point to a TI OMAP 4470 chipset.

Samsung GALAXY Premier is a real deal, The first live shot of the smartphone's prototype has just been leaked, confirming the same shape & design of first render photo.

The Galaxy Premier is rumored to come with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, most likely of the TI OMAP4470 variety, an 8 MP camera, and a 4.65" HD Super AMOLED display, which are the screen specs of the Galaxy Nexus as well.

Samsung has just officially announced the New Samsung GALAXY Premier I9260. The Premier is essentially a Galaxy Nexus with slightly updated hardware and running Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz User interface on top of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The Galaxy Premier has a 4.65-inch, 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel rear camera with 1080p video recording, 1.9 megapixel front facing camera, 1GB RAM, 8 or 16GB internal memory with microSD card slot, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC and a 2,100mAh battery.

The Galaxy Premier runs on a TI OMAP4470 with a dual-core 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A9 CPU and PowerVR SGX544 GPU.

Samsung officially announced the GALAXY Premier in taiwan just a few days ago, Now the device has just Hit the FCC office. The FCC report indicate that the handset GALAXY Premier I9260 doesn't have a LTE support, but it does have the right bands that would allow it to work on AT&T's HSPA+ 3G network.

The device will hit US simfree this month, Europe and Asia will also get the same version of the Premier but no exact launch date available for now.
