James Webb

Do we believe there is life beyond Earth ? NASA tried to prove before using the Hubble telescope but so far they didn't succeed to get a an evidence. In a public meeting with NASA's chief and the agency's top scientists have said that they expect to find Alien Life within the next 20 years.

Meanwhile, the agency has plans to launch the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) in 2018 which is 4x tims bigger than the hubble telescope, which will be used to study these billions of planets to see if they can support life. Or, even better, if they already harbor life.

JWST

Beyond James Webb, NASA said that future developments in technology could make it easier for NASA to spot Earth-like planets. With current technology, it's difficult for researchers to spot planets of Earth's size because the light they emit is so faint compared to their host star. Gliese 832-c, for example, that so-called super-Earth NASA talked about recently, is 16 light-years away, so it's not exactly easy to see. It's not as simple as looking at our nearest neighbor, Venus, which, according to Universe Today, can be as close as 38 million km away.

"With the James Webb, we have the first capability of finding life on other planets, but we have to get lucky; we have to beat the odds, We believe we are very close in terms of science and technology to finding another Earth, and signs of life on another world" - NASA.

Takee 1

The technology parts costs is going down as the Technology is going up... Hologram or Holographic image is not a science fiction dream any more, you can now get it on your pocket. A new Chinese company called "Takee" broke all barriers and introduced the Worlds' first Holographic Smartphone, and it's called Takee 1.

Indeed, the holographic part in the title is surely why you're reading this right now, and also what sets Takee apart from the crowd. We'll go right ahead and also admit that that's by far the most exciting part of the Takee 1 a smartphone self-described as the world's first holographic phone. If this reminds you of the Amazon Fire Phone, then you're in the same boat with us, though it could be that Takee has something even more intriguing in store for us. At least judging from the promotional material available for the phone, which is all kinds of confusing.

Takee 1

Well, we currently have no way to verify if the Takee phone will simply use a set of four front-facing cameras to track your face and dynamically tweak the UI to create a depth effect, or if it really will be capable of projecting an image, like shown in photos and video. In any case, while this happens to be an area of disagreement between the outlets that have covered the Takee 1 already, it appears to us that the holographic fun can only take place if you snap on the spider-like accessory.

Takee 1

Said otherwise, the embedded front-facing cameras will only tweak the perspective, creating a more immersive experience, just like the Fire Phone. Regardless, even if it so happens that Takee is trying to emulate the Amazon Fire Phone, it does appear a tad more ambitious, seeing as apps, 3D games, and movies, are all types of content that Takee is promising to make available in a holographic format through its pre-installed Cloud Cube store.

Takee 1

You probably wondering what's the Specs of this phone ? Takee 1 comes with a 5.5-inch, 1080p display, an Octa-core MediaTek processor, 2GB RAM, and a 13-megapixel shooter with a Sony Exmor RS sensor. The battery on this still mysterious phone is said to have capacity of 2500 mAh. Lastly, the Takee 1 will be mainly available in black and white, but there'll also be a limited 18K gold edition.

MediaTek

Aside from unveiling the 64-bit Octa-core MT6795 chipset today, MediaTek has also showcased its 32-bit MT6595 part for the third time this year. Since we already know pretty much everything there is to know about this SoC, the Taiwanese company decided to hype it up by boasting that it's gotten a result of 47,233 points in the AnTuTu benchmark.

As you may imagine, that's nothing to be ashamed of. On the contrary, it's more than many other chipsets from competing vendors have been able to achieve.

MediaTek

In fact, the Samsung Galaxy S5 powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC managed only about 36,000 points on the same benchmark, while its octa-core sibling scored 38K. The OnePlus One also hovers around 38K, and the HTC One M8 mhas to make do with 37K.

Obviously though, you should know that benchmarks aren't everything, and real-life usage may not be reflective of these scores. Regardless, it looks like MediaTek is preparing to make the jump from a maker of mostly low-end or lower-midrange chipsets and into the big leagues, where it can compete with the likes of Qualcomm and Samsung not only on price but also on performance.
