When something nice happens, it happens more than once! Although it might not fully correct when it comes to Samsung, they have started shipping Android 6.0.1 update to the Galaxy Note 5, right after the announcement of the worldwide release of the update for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. Right now it can be availed in Cambodia (for the SM-N920C) with build number N920CXXU2BPB6. It is activated via Samsung Smart Switch. They will notify the devices via OTA (Over-the-air) software distribution technology.

A sneak peek was given to the mobile enthusiasts about the Marshmallow operating on the Galaxy Note 5. It is safe to say that the final release won't vary drastically. Some of the new features like Doze mode, Google Now on Tap, a brand new internet browser developed by Samsung (with option to block ads) and couple of other features will be made available. A new design for the status bar and notification area are also expected. Performance wise the Note 5 will be improved.

Follow the steps given below to get the update manually: Settings » About device » Software update menu

This update is being rolled out in phases depending on geographical location. So we need to wait till Samsung spots our Note 5.
